Nodrus hears the commotion from outside the Tavern, "Now that's more like it, something to beat around 'ere". He stumbles off his seat at the bar, clutching the warhammer by his side and walking out of the Tavern towards to location of commotion. Noticing the blazing fire elemental in the middle of some kind of stage, "Outta my way ya blubbering idiots" Nodrus shouts as he pushed his way to the front of the crowd of people, using his full movement (with difficult terrain) to get within 15ft of the elemental. As the relatively large dwarf stood at the front of the panicking croud of people, adjusting his fingers on the handle of his warhammer, he spits to his left onto the ground, locking eyes with the blazing creature, waiting for the right moment to strike, looking for a weak spot.

Bram: The shadows leap up and coalesce around the elemental, looking almost like wisps of black smoke. You release a blast of arcane energy which careens into the side of the flaming creature, punching through it's form before the fire solidifies again.
Clermar: Your bolt sails towards the creature, but at this point it's hard to tell what is the being and what is the blaze swirling around it, igniting everything in it's path. You're pretty sure your shot goes wide and sails into the burning wall of the tavern.
Ospos: As your steady rhythm rolls out, a smattering of bright purple flames becomes visible through the reddish orange inferno, staying distinct like oil on top of water. 23(failed save) the purple flames stick to the elemental like a corona, making it easier to pick him out from the surrounding inferno. Liafialyou have 1d6 inspiration.
Nean: Concentrating, you send a lance of psychic force towards the creature. 2(successful save) you feel the attack fail as it twists it's face towards you, a low fiery growl rolling out from it.
Dril: Your arcane barrage batters the elemental, punching small holes through it's chest. At this point, it seems that the entity is only growing angrier under this assault.
As the skirmish breaks out, the remaining bystanders flee the scene, some stopping to drag off those that had fallen. The two Conclave members seem ready to jump in to attack the creature, but seeing the group of you fending off the entity, they instead go for damage control. One raises his arms, eyes glowing blue as a dark, swirling cloud begins to form over the tavern. A cold icy rain begins to fall, starting to douse the burning building. Flicking his wand about, the other mage begins to magically extinguish the flames licking at the fallen pedestrians, and then checking to see whether or not they can be saved.
The elemental being surges forward, looking like he's about to tackle Nean but instead charges right through him, briefly surrounding the man in flame. He stops about 10 feet behind him, then rears back and launches an arc of fire towards Bram.
Touch Attack against Nean: 8 Damage: 13 fire
Firebolt against Bram: 21 Damage: 9 fire
(if either attack hits, you catch fire and take 1d10 fire dmg at the start of your turn until you're extinguished, which you can take an action to do)
Ospos unleashes a scathing insult at the fire elemental to distract it away from Nean, "Hey! Your momma says your heatless sputtering flame is 'OK' because she secretly loves water elementals!"
Cutting Words against the attack roll: 2
Edit: Rerolling that using Halfling Lucky trait (assuming Cutting words counts as either an Attack roll, Ability check or Saving throw?): 6
Edit2: Doesn't matter. But I would still like to know if I can use Halfling Lucky for cutting words?
Nean watches the elemental aim for him and decides to take action. He is intensely focussing, bundeling his psychic powers and suddenly vanishes at the last second, still feeling the burn left by the heatwave that crushed into him. He sniffs at a small that is suddenly emerging and carefully touches the piteous remains of what should have been his eyebrows. "Oh come on, you gotta be kidding me." , his tone being both angry but also amused. "It's gonna take ages to grow these back."
OOC: Reacting with Defensive Step from the Nomadic Step discipline, Nean teleports 10 ft to the front, reestablishing the 20 ft distance between him and the elemental.

Ospos watches the battle unfold. The loud grumbling of a Dwarf exiting the tavern catches his ears, the large war hammer and suicidal determination seemed like a good place to send his luck...
Ospos changed the rhythm of his drum to match the Dwarf's heartbeat and began to yell, "Dwarf! Listen...." stopping mid sentence, thinking <he won't listen even if he hears> and just sent his luck anyway.

Nodrus stared into the flames of this entity before him, brielfly having a cision of his people for a moment. Snapping out of the vision, Nodrus yelled out, "Come 'ere ya overgrown candle!" As he charged towards the elemental, his eyes a bloodshot red as he entered a rage (Bonus + movement). Nodrus raised his warhammer and swung dwn towards the Elemental, being quite reckless with his strike.
Watching the scene become a conflagration, Dri is slightly panicked and wishing he had fled with the crowd. Eyeing the Conclave member dousing the flaming tavern, Dil firmly rubs his temples and casts Message:

Ospos: The elemental only barely seems to be distracted by your insult, but Nean suddenly phases out of the path of the flames anyway, avoiding the attack. Your escalating drumbeats continue to underscore the battle as you ready a dagger strike.
Nodrus: Your hammer sails in a downward arc, the head smashing through the elemental's fiery form. The flames part in its wake but immediately reform, the strike seeming to not have the normal impact you're used to. As you attack, the flames lick back at you, dealing 7 fire damage. (you already had advantage from the faerie fire so I won't apply the advantage it would get against you from your reckless attack)
Dril: The mage looks confused for a moment before turning and seeing you. He nods and responds in your head. "I must maintain this storm until the tavern is safe. If you and your companions can fend off the entity for a moment longer, I can put an end to this."
Nean: Flashing away from the elemental's strike, you then shift again, appearing right behind the entity. With a thrust of your sapphire blade, the psychic weapon plunges into its form. Fire bursts out from the wound, dealing 6 fire damage to you.
The elemental whirls around, sending embers spiraling out from it. With it's momentum, a flaming fist goes flying into both Nean and Nodrus

Fire dmg: 1
The fire now sticks to every piece of cloth it manages to reach, forcing Nean to drop down to the floor where he can be seen rolling around again and again until the the flames eventually vanish. He now apearrs to bejust as battered as the dwarf, possibly even worse, judging by the trail of smoke that arises from his hood. He once again fades away and shows up within the group of conclave magicians. The worst burns emit a shower of blue light that quickly clears away.
"Damn, noone ever told me that playing with fire could end that badly."
Ospos watches Nodrus and Nean take hits and catch fire. He's now absolutely sure he doesn't want to be near that elemental. Best way to achieve that, is to encourage others to go instead! Changing the tune of his drum, Ospos casts healing spell directed at Nean, who disappeared and reappeared among the Conclave and seemed to suffer much more than the dwarf.
Quite frazzled by the Mage's response, begins to panic. Rising out from cover Dril attempts to shout over the roaring blaze, "Hold the elemental a little longer and the Conclave will be able to help!"

Dril: In a show of courage, you run towards the fray, sending arcane missiles rocketing into the elemental. The holes punched from the attack reform, but the entity is starting to shrink a bit, becoming less able to maintain its form as it takes damage.
Clermar: Charging forwards, you manage to plunge your pike deep into the core of the creature, eliciting a fiery howl of pain. Emboldened by the successful attack, you yank the weapon backwards before thrusting again, the edge of the pike bursting out the other side of the creature with a plume of black smoke.
Bram: The beam of crackling arcane energy flies towards the elemental, but is deflected by one of its flailing arms.
Still roaring like a massive wildfire, the elemental shifts forward towards Clermar. Now in range, Dril's dagger flies towards the creature, seeming to impact but not even distracting the entity as it wildly swings both of its blazing arms towards the fighter.

With a sudden flash of multicolored light and a strange distorted sound, the looming fire elemental that has been ravaging the street vanishes. In its place, there now stands a small, speckled puppy. He growls and barks angrily, the fury still within it's shifted form. The mage walks over calmly and with firm hands scoops up the dog. By now city guards are arriving. They begin to extinguish the remaining fire and assessing the damage and casualties. The Conclave mage turns to all of you in turn with a respectful nod. "You've all done Solacus proud, and have shown bravery in the face of crisis. I thank you, and will not forget your deeds here." he then walks off, in the direction of the other mage down the street, still holding the puppy. For a moment there's an awkward silence, as you all stand in the wreckage. Elsewhere music can still be heard, the festival only having been stopped on this one street. The reverie is broken by the voice of the bartender. "Drinks on the house all night for this lot! If it weren't for all of you there wouldn't still be a house." The elf woman stands in the doorway of the Red Gallows. The outside seems to have taken a fair amount of damage, but the structure and interior remains in tact. She waves you inside with a smile as she walks back in.
