This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"It's the least I can do after the leap of faith you have all made in agreeing to help me and travelling here. I will do my best to protect you all from harm."
"Thank you, Clermar and Void for your concern but thanks to Ava I will be alright." Looking over to Ospos lying on his back, "If we decide to take a moment before moving on we should do so away from this site just in case the fight with the big bird draws more unwanted attention."
Ospos laughs at the absurdity of the situation, "Sure thing. Other than a parched throat from yelling at a gigantic bird that tried to eat us in a plane that is constantly in shadow and full of undead, I'm in great condition. Well, maybe a bit hungry. But we can eat at this other safe place."
Ava: As you sit down to pray, channeling Larun's light into your friends, you notice that Lah'thys seems to intentionally distance herself for the duration.
Eventually your guide does come back around though, as you talk of your next moves. "It is likely the roc scared off any real threats. Scavengers may come for whatever scraps they think the bird left, but I doubt they'd be looking for a real fight. "If some of you want to find a good place to settle in while I finish this, that would be good."
Ospos: Looking around, you do think that the rock formations surrounding you could potentially provide shelter. You spy one particularly large arrangement in the distancethat looks promising. It looks like a fifteen minute walk from your current location.
Bram: Lah'thys is carving large chunks of meat from the bird's thigh with a dagger. She looks up as you walk over and nods to the pile of raw food. "Just help me take this over." Once she's filleted enough for a large carnivorous meal for the entire group, she moves to the throat and begins draining blood into a wineskin.
The rest of you find the rocks that Ospos pointed out. There is a bit of an overhang and a shallow, recessed area which would sufficiently protect the party from view.
(Let me know how you guys want to prepare for the night)
Ava will eat, but before going to sleep, she will approach Lah'thys
"Good evening Lady Lah'thys, I wanted to thank you again for your assistance on our journey, as it is means much more to me than a simple assignment. I also wanted to ask, is everything alright? I noticed earlier that you kept your distance as I was treating our wounds?"
Liafial seeks the safety of the tiny hut as well, having a great trust of magic. "Dare I to hope that things will get better, or would that be inviting more trouble."
Bramhelps Lady Lah'thys in carrying the food over to the new camp site.
"Thank you Lady Lah'thys, you are a most gracious host, considering, I believe, that most of this isn't really your taste in food."
Once Ospossets up the tiny hut, Bramsets up a small fire at one edge of the dome, to cook the food.
Once cooked, Bramtastes the meat and then piles it up and casts Prestidigitation to add extra flavour. He then hands the meat out to everyone who wants some.
"I have adjusted the flavour to make it a little nicer."
At Liafial's comment, Bramlooks over at him with a sardonic expression,
"Too late now, fate has been tempted, we will just have to hope it was busy and didn't hear your comment."
Bramgives Liafiala wink, before going back to his meal.
After Bramis finished eating, he will play a little more quiet music from his ocarina, before bedding down for the night.
Liafial samples some of the flavored meat, finding he prefers any distraction from their bleak surroundings. "I have had an uneasy feeling since we arrived in the Shadowfell and it has been growing worse every day. I can't wait until we are done and able to leave this miserable place behind."
Ava: Lah’thys shrugs. “I wasn’t wounded. And if I had been, my undeath would have restored my vigor better than your divine magic would. I will say I was quite impressed at your ability to dispel the dread that the roc’s shadow instilled in me. It’s not often that I’m scared shitless.” she says with a sly grin.
As everyone settles in, Lah’thys starts a fire to cook the meat. As soon as it is lit, Lah’thys conjures a dome of shadow to obscure the light. The sight of the tiny hut overlapping with the darkness is quite odd, but both forms completely disappear into the shadows as night falls. Lah’thys elects to sleep just outside the hut, leaning against it and taking swigs of the bird’s blood as you all fall asleep.
The morning is brighter than normal, though there is no direct sun it seems the blanket of clouds is sheer as you wake. There is also a brisk wind blowing through the badlands, which sends chills into your stiff bodies. Lah'thys can be seen up on top of a nearby boulder, peering off into the distance.
"It's the least I can do after the leap of faith you have all made in agreeing to help me and travelling here. I will do my best to protect you all from harm."
Ava will then cast Prayer of Healing, healing everyone for 16 hp.

Bram stops playing and asks Liafial,
"Should we have some of our group scout for a spot to rest, while our guide and protector collects some meat?"
"Or should we wait until she is finished, and start looking for a spot then?"

Ospos looks around, "What places are better than others on this plane?"
Perception check: 15
"Might as well take a break here while we wait, just remain alert." Liafial finds a comfortable spot and slumps into a seated position to rest.

Ospos gets up on his feet, and looks down at Liafial sitting down to say, "Actually, over there looks as safe to me as safe can be in this plane."
Bram stands and looks at Ospos indicated destination.
"Right, well I will see if Lady Lah'thys needs any assistance."
Bram walks over to where the Vampire bounder is butchering the Roc.
"Is there anything I can do to help, Lady Lah'thys?"

"That does look like a good spot, Ospos, lead the way." Liafial follows Ospos and the others the short distance to their new campsite.
