In answer to the question Arutha nodded. "I've seen the insides of many a beast and man alike. I've been fighting since I was old enough to fight and have seen more than my fair share of wars, minor squabbles, and well... duels as well, in the dueling circle and out. Some to first blood and some.... less friendly. I'm always on the look for someone to pay me for the use of my swords and experience." He looks around and pulls out a set of bone dice. "Any one up for a game off chance to while the time until they decide to open this blasted gate?"

Cath bellows a great laugh. "Orcs AND goblins eh! That's all I need to hear. Well met then. As for this line, it looks like people are seeking the safety of the city walls. All I want is a pint. My axe is all the safety I need."
Hearing the response from Arutha he responds. "I'm up for some dice. It'll help pass the time."
With a smile Arutha looked at the ones that said they would like to play. "Play odds and evens? We place bets and then one rolls. You declare odds or evens and winners split the pot. Catch is the thrower can't bet and we rotate who rolls. Sound good?"

"Odds and evens, you say," a man with fat fingers grumbles. "Anything to pass the time in this lousy line. We could be here for hours. Half a day if a merchant sends the keys ahead of the cargo he's delivering." From a pocket he pulls two iron mountains. Metal cubes. The faces are inverted pyramids, and the dice look heavy. "No funny business. No spells. No lucky re-rolls. Just good clean fun to pass the damn time."
The man chuckles. "The name is Davers. Kelten Davers. And, no, gents. The dice are not for sale. They're all that's left of my half-brother's clan. Sad tale there. No matter. Here's a thumb." The man tosses a Cormyrian copper piece into the pile. "My coin is on evens."
"What news do you have Kelton? Rumor is orcs on the move again, that the Flaming Fist is looking for aid. Do you know anything about this? I've been on the road for some time now and am looking to get in the city. I need some supplies and some news."
Cath will continue to play dice, calling evens, throwing a copper piece as needed.
Arutha fingers the broken sword hilt in his belt as they played. Listening to the conversation about orcs. Every few minutes he looks around to see if anyone may be watching him.

Gramdal keeps an eye on the group. He watches them talk and play games. They so easily decide to gamble away their copper. That's when he notices this...Arutha....Something about him draws Gramdals eye. He decides to pay attention to what he does.

What's the wager?
Arutha pulls out a copper piece and tosses it to the ground in the middle of the growing group of people. "I'll start with a copper crown."

This seems fun i have a copper on even. *flips coin*
Cath looks at the man with the fat fingers. "And who are you? And those aren't bone dice. Are they your wager?"
Cath throws a copper piece down.
"I'll take evens. Are you rolling first Arutha?"
"I aint seen the man before, but i reckon he must be wealthy to have em a pair of those shiny metal dice"
Taking his bone dice Arutha casts them to the ground and as he does he watches the others to gauge thier responses. 4
