Hearing Ashley's voice, Crispy snapped out of whatever she was thinking. The thought lingered in her mind, and it troubled her greatly. "Yeah. What..she said." she breathed.
After a moment she pulled Ashley aside.
"This might sound really weird," she began, "but..do you ever get the feeling like..you're not yourself? Sometimes? I keep..having these..waves of, what's the word..I dunno. Like, deja vu? That feeling? It's hard to place. I feel like something inside me is different, or changing? Missing. That's it. Like a piece of me is gone. As if..someone took something from me. A feeling like I don't belong here..and I don't mean here here.." she pointed to the ground, "I mean HERE, as in..this realm? Space?"
She grunted in frustration, as if she couldn't find the words.
"Yeah." Crispy half halfheartedly chuckled. "That..must be it." She smiled at Ashley weakly, not entirely convinced, but did her best not to show it to the one thing in the whole world she loved more than anything in the whole world.
Agnis nods, "You should but first we have to properly prepare you all first. Your armor won't do well in this kind of terrain. I cannot very ask you all to head after them when there's a chance you might get caught in a bog or worse."She motions for the group to follow her. Inside the shop, there isn't much. There are various types of knifes and cleavers hanging as on the counter there are etched in prices for meats and for cutting. Behind the counter, you see the man's bloody apron as well as different spices by a small firepit. There's a door that goes to the back of the store but it is currently closed. "The mayor should have some spare leather to use for going out in the marsh. And we can keep your armor there for now as well."
Leather armour? Hatt replies gloomily, looking down at his expensive and as yet unused new breastplate. If you're quite sure, I suppose. What else will we need to survive in a swamp? I've walked through one before, a long way from Cresthall, though we kept very much to the road on the advice of travellers we met.
Ashley begins tying her hair up as. Sounds like this could get messy., Would you mind helping me with my hair bear ? Ashley turns to her wife in hopes for some assistance with her waist length hair tying.

Crispy smiled and gladly offered to help with Ashley's hair, just one of the few things she enjoyed rolling around in. She cracked a joke as she worked with it. "Maybe this adventure won't take us a year to complete."
"Leather Armor?" Gasp mimics Hatt as he tosses his cloak open, revealing that he is already wearing fine studded leather! A fact that he appears to be quite proud of as he stands on display, hands planted at his sides in a proud and sort of heroic pose.
Hatt grins and says reassuringly to Agnis: You have no need to fear. Sir Gasp and his team are on the case, and we will bring your son back, if it can be done. To Crispy he says, It was only a few months to Seva... Savsa... Sovaas... whatever that place was called. And for certain, with the Goddess's aid, we shall complete this quest in short order. He turns back to Agnis, impatient to get going.
"Again, he's not my son. And besides the bogs, I'd advise not eating any of the mushrooms you may find. Most of them or either poisonous, hallucegenic, or will cause paralysis. And avoid inhaling any of their spores as well. We should have a few leather masks to help you, but best way to is to avoid them." The woman leads you all to the big house by the square. She takes you all in, where you past an aged tortle reading books to children. She takes you all to an small armory of sorts. She takes a few sets of leather armor out.
(I forgot that Gasp never sold his previous armor.)
Gasp, could youhelpme with my armour? Hatt goes through the laborious process of doffing his shield, then his armour, then donning the leather and shield once again.
I've never really worn leather armour before. It's nice and light, but... hmmm. I feel a bit... exposed, you know? Like a well-placed warhammer would just smash me to pulp? Ah well, Goddess willing we won't encounter any warhammer-wielding foes in the marsh, eh?
Bennett nods, "Sure. I've never fought in a swamp." He will give his breastplate and take the leather armor. After he puts it on he says, "Oh! It's nice and light. I've missed this feeling."
Thanks Gasp. Hatt checks his new armour, and then turns to Agnis. Eat mushrooms from the swamp? Just random mushrooms found here and there? Who would do such a thing? He accepts a mask if offered, but does not don it yet.
Are we ready to go? I would prefer not to give the lad's father too much of a head start, in case he and his friend get into trouble.
She's just restless. All walking an no action. Shall we venture after the boys fathers?

Ashley leans up and kisses Crispy softly on the lips. Relax. Your just antsy because you haven't killed anything in weeks.
