Hardal looks at the tiefling and releases an exasperated sigh as he tries to memorize their faces before speaking.
"Since we need trust to sort this thing out, I'll be the one to do it first. The job consist of ransacking a caravan headed here to Cresthall. Nothing helps me prevent you from leaving and do this job on your own. If you have enough decency as a person, trust me in giving you the cut in equal proportions and everyone joining this job.
If you're no satisfied on what I said, here's the kill paper with the instructions on it."
Hadral forms a floating, spectral hand and shows the second note he got from the goblin.
You remember working a few bills for the man. Bills for armor and weapons, custom fitted and designed for him. The man had seem to taken up adventuring as a hobby, using his wealth to procure the best gear one can buy here. Though rumor has it, he quit as soon as he began. Something about delving into dirty caves and filthy towns not agreeing with him.
OOC: Oh damn I did describe Tarryon, lol, bought a robot next. Anyway naw, I was aiming for a human Cavalier. If you guys do pursue this one I'll flesh out more details.
Holissa just smiles. "If the reward is right and the job is "fun", I don't care what it is. I trust you, I trust everyone, those who have lost my confidence no longer have to worry about trust. Or anything else." She looks at the note. "Now this does look like fun"
The greasy looking human remains standing and looks over to the githyanki which he serpentine individual indicates. He grabs the goblin by the shoulder before it runs off, "I don't think that will be necessary." Then back to the yuan-ti, the well-spoken man says, "It appears he is all ready engaged and that they are discussing future ventures. If you are looking for the same, why don't we see if we could join them."
Atporix is currently using his hat of disguise to look like a human male.
The man walks over to the the and eyes the paper that is being held out by the floating hand. "Ransack a random caravan. Sounds rather pedestrian," he says butting into the conversation. Laying down his paper, "Anyone feel like ******* with some haughty ne'er-do-well?"
I reach out and snatch up the note before anyone else has a chance. I pull out a monocle attached to a gold chain and hold it in my eye. I quickly read it over. “Sounds like a decent score, but curiosity always gets the best of me.” I put the note back on the table and repocket my monocle. “I’d like to know what’s so important on the caravan that it needs dealing with prior to it arriving in town. As far as that contract is concerned, it can be quick and dirty if need be. No reason not to load up on a few supplies before hitting a slaver for his papers.” I look up at the greasy human looking for his agreement. “The caravan, then the slaver I think is best mate.”
Hardal looks at the human male that suddenly entered their table.
"If you're coming, bring that scaled friend of yours there. Just remember, the decision to split the spoils is mine."
He telepathically calls on his owl to return to him at once then he beckons his new found comrades.
"No time to waste, we must find what gate it will enter. The moment it is inside the city boundaries, the chance of fighting city guards are much higher. We should ambush it before that event transpires."
Hardal walks out of this dank tavern, waiting for the people he found to join. He hopes that this helps him get closer in achieving the Revered Queen's orders.
“well I suppose no better time than now to head off.” I get up and pull up my collar on my robe before picking up my rod. “Word of wisdom to you, Hardal. Best ease up on that ******* attitude you have. I don’t take my orders from you. Can’t Speak for the other, but I’m sure I have an inkling their views aren’t too far off. You try throwing your weight around some more, you may find yourself with the same fate as the caravaners were to rendezvous with.”
I fall back and speak with Pavla. “Not sure how you feel about that ugly **** (Hardal) up there trying to take charge, but I don’t foresee him lasting long....” I check my weapons are easily accessible. “If it comes to it, I assume you know what to do....”
Holissa shrugs and gets up following the others out of the tavern. Whistling a tuneless melody to herself she catches up with Valrakas and Pavla. "Relax my friends, Let him think he's in charge if it will keep him quiet. He will bear close watching though. Those who don't treat their compatriots as equals don't last long around here." She says not bothering to keep her voice down.
“Never got your name, mate. I’m Valrakas,” I say holding out my hand toward Holissa. “Demon Prince of Cresthall, well soon I will be.” I give him a grin exposing my pointed teeth.
"Ah, the man will act how he acts. How he helps in this job is more important, I think,"Pavla says, standing and tapping the quarterstaff (that was leaning against Pavla's chair) on the ground as the two walk.
"So magnanimous of you. I thought it was all ready common practice to share any spoils evenly," the man says bristling - anyone perceptive enough may have noticed a slight shimmer in his form. He then turns to the others, obviously mocking, "My new friends, as your gracious benefactor I think I will allow you to share in the reward for your help in this job which was just handed to me and I didn't have to lift a finger to find."

Onyx, sitting at his table going through the papers him self. Figures a job worth doing is doing it right, and calls to the group, "if your looking to raid that caravan, I may be able to assist you all in a good location to procure what it is your looking for, I do not need to partake in splitting what ever reward this job entails, but ask that he he spoils of which we find on their persons be equally divided amongst the group.", he lifts his drink and take a long slow sip while keeping his eyes on the group as they stood up before leaving awaiting an answer.

"What you call a common practice is not applicable on this place nested with crooks and law breakers. That is why I even spent time on explaining on what will happen to the spoils at the beginning.
If you can't trust me after what I have said and done, I am not forcing you to stay. You can go and do what you must.
But you would be hard pressed on finding enough people here believing you will evenly split the rewards after you proudly dangle that 'handed job' you speak of."
He stops looking at the greasy man and focuses his attention to the rest of the group.
"Those who still believe my words, follow me. I don't have time to spare prattling while the target comes closer to Cresthall."
Hardal starts to walk with his owl sitting on his shoulder with its piercing gaze directed at the group behind him as he heads outside Croc's Rest as soon as possible.

Pavla
Pavla looks up from the chunk of moldy meat that Pavla is indifferently picking through.
"Don't worry," Pavla reassures Hardal.
"It would be quick. But we need not worry about that, I hope."
Pavla chuckles a bit, then nods at Valrakas' statement. The movement sends long strands of hair falling into Pavla's eyes again.
And that's all I have to say about that.
