Erix is happy to talk to everyone of the party on the walk.
Asking how they know the sergeant and about what kind of adventures they all have had.

"Elero Muhendis is my name." Elero offers to shake Erix's hand. "I'm an artificer's apprentice at Cromwell's Copious Contrivances, one of the finest workshops of the Esoteric Order of Aureon. I haven't been there very long, but I've been a part of some very interesting mechanical undertakings on behalf of our clients. Recently Sergeant Villroy visited me at my home, asking about some of the contraptions I've helped construct, and some of our clients. I have to admit I don't know much about our end users, since I'm not able to meet many of them personally, being a mere apprentice, but I hope to someday." He glances at Centurion. "And to get to make something as amazing as that." He shrugs. "I can infuse objects with a few meager effects, but nothing close to that level of sophistication."
"But enough about me." Elero blushes, the change in color barely visible against his darker skin and its patches of grime. "Tell me about yourself."
On the way to the Cog Carnival, Kit was full of tall tales.
He was all “…exhausted, bloodied, we harpooned the dragon turtle right through the eye and sent it back to the depths!”
Kit says exaggerating his role on a pirate crew (at the time he was just a regular cat there to catch rats).
And “one time, Ol’ Captain and I entertained a cohort of sea nymphs who turned out to be seahags! Who knew! It was a delightfully sinful evening all the same. That was all before the dog Captain betrayed me though. Sent me walking the plank, you see. Said I was dragging the crew down in my old age! And the crew agreed!”
Looking at Kit you’d say he’s down a few lives as far as felines are concerned. “Blaspheme, I say… . No matter. Still a few fights in me left and they got was coming to them. Well the crew at least. Never found the Captain’s body…”
Chatty as he is, Kit likes to listen with the occasional interjection, everyone has a story.
“Aye, big fulla bet you beat up a few beasts in your time. Even if you don’t remember.”
“Sweet opal! Don’t look at me if it goes missing…”
“With the colours on that coat I bet you know the best edibles.”
Etc etc until [when we arrive at the Cog]
“5cp! You gotta be kidding. This Kat doesn’t pay to get in.”
Erix hasn't gotten many tales yet, the youngman he is.
"Not much to tell about myself 3rd son of a Valadis house family. Not much to gain in reputation staying at home so decided that I'd wanted to go adventuring. Know the sergeant since I was young from helping out in the stables, or going on runs to bring mounts to the watch. He knew I'd like to go adventuring, so happy he send me on this quest."

Incredible roleplay! So now you're out the front of the Cog Carnival, you can all head straight in if you want. Unless someone wanted to do some reconnaissance or talking beforehand. In a couple hours i'll just assume you all went into the bar and pay your entry fee. Apart from Centurion of course.
Kit lets the others go ahead of him. And as he approaches his feline slink becomes increasingly angular until by the time he’s at the point he would need to pay the entry fee he’s practically doing the robot dance.
“Greetings warforged brethren, I’m Giga-Kit,” kit makes a beep sound “…new bio-mechanic model seeking entry to warforged establishment.” Kit takes a mechanical bow.
Kit doesn’t pay to pub.

[if he fails (probably ha) he’ll sulk out front of the Cog and keep an eye out.
As the others go inside the Cog Carnival, all but Centurion pay 5cp each. Centurion gets a polite nod from the bouncer. Kit's deception, however, does not work on the bouncer. The bouncer pushes Kit back into the street. "You'll not get in tonight shifter, perhaps you can try tomorrow. But you will have to pay." You can't tell if it's amused by your antics or if it is simply stating a rule.
As for those in The Cog Carnival. Smoky, low flames in a fireplace barely illuminate the cracked stone walls and filthy floor of this establishment. The single-room space is crowded with warforged with severed digits or limbs, scars, burns, and other wounds. Other warforged in the area are gathered around traditional dice, card, dart, and board games as well as carnival competitions such as throwing metal rings onto posts, tossing a ball at a tower of weighted iron cups hard enough to make them fall down, and striking a homemade machine hard enough with a hammer to make it ring a bell. A small bar in the corner serves cheap ale. Behind this bar, a warforged bartender shouts jeers at patrons losing games.
Sergeant Vilroy didn't give you a description of Coal, you got the feeling she didn't know what they looked like. You'll need to identify them on your own.
Elero will wander the bar, wide-eyed at the technology. He'll look at each one to see if they have identifying markings, or anything that could be a name badge. Most likely staring at many of them way too long and from too close a distance. When a warforged takes offense, he'll apologize profusely and state he's looking for one named Coal, but didn't want to intrude into their conversations.
Centurion walks boldly into the Cog to stands next to the card game, and takes note of each of the players. Warforged often take on the quirks of Beings and such a place, or a backroom, would be the type of place the Sergeant said to look.
Elero - The Warforged in the bar do look at you with some hostility as you observe them. When you ask after Coal, they either completely ignore you, or mutter some insult or something under their breath. Treating you much the same as Evelyn.
Centurion - You see many Warforged in the bar, some of them with injuries and slightly shady looking, but others quite proper looking and just there to have a good time and hang out with others like them.
Mark - You see things that Centurion does not, a few of the shadier ones talk with Theives' Cant and they all seem to be talking about a Warforged sitting alone in the corner missing her right arm. Apparently she has been far more on edge than usual tonight. You pick up that this is Coal. As you look over to her, you think maybe she has also spotted you, as she diverts her attention immediately and begins to quickly finish her drink. Making perhaps to leave.
Kit - As you wait out the front for the others to come out, you see another Shifter walking towards the bar swiftly, and with intent. She is pushing past some people and others are just giving her a wide birth. She is accompanied by a group of Kobolds who seem equally cranky, fingers tapping at the knives at their belts.
"I believe I have spotted Coal, Elero you should head towards the door while Centurion and I head over to her. Just in case she makes a run for it." Mark will point the Warforged with the missing arm out as he speaks. Then he will try to move quickly to her leading the way for Centurion.
Coal looks incredibly skittish as you appraoch, finishing with her drink now and absent-mindedly grabbing her things. "Sorry stanger, i cannot stay to talk, i must be off, i must..." Her voice raspy and quiet
"Nothing to fear, I am here as a friend of the East." Mark says, using theives' cant. What he just did is say that he is a friend not foe and that he was sent here by a powerful man in the Watch.
She seems to calm a little at the mention of the Watch, although she knows that many people here understand Theives' Cant, so she still keeps her voice low. "Name the east wind and you shall quiet the storm, i suppose." She is asking you, in Theives' Cant, what is the name of the Sergeant. (Also, Germaine Vilroy is a woman btw.)
"Uh, right," Elero says, watching them head in, and noticing a group of kobolds moving with a purpose, though he might not be putting two and two together just yet, "I'll, uh, guard the door." He heads off in that direction. Dipping into his pockets, he produces a small spring, several bits of iron and a tiny copper plate, which he begins fashioning into a cone as he walks, trying not to bump into any of the warforged.
After kicking the pavement and having a sook about not getting into the Cog, Kit's attention was drawn to a pack of Kobolds led by another shifter. "Eyyooo, they look like fun" he says aloud to himself as they enter the establishment.
Kit very casually, hands in pockets, whistles away and begins to look for a window he could peek through, and possibly climb through.
