Ivor, seeing Thalressa move ahead of the group, and remembering what happened last time she did that, ran forward. Ivor stopped upon reaching Thal, stepping in front of her to attempt to protect her from enemy projectiles.

Vilk heard the sounds of bow sting. He quickly ran against the wall, and at the corner quickly pulled the bow string with an arrow. In a swift motion he rounded the corner and with an instinct that can only be found in the wild, let loss the arrow. It flew true, striking the middle goblin in the eye, sinking deep into its skull. with a thud the goblin fell. Vilk quickly grabbed both Ivor and Thalressa, pulling them back to the corner.

As the group rounds the corner and lays into the goblins, falling one of them, the two remaining goblins fire back and one arrow dents into the armor of Ivor, guarding his friend.
Kazander rushes forward to stand beside his compatriots, and calls out, "We've killed your boss and killed your friend. Don't make us kill the rest of you - tell us what we want to know!" His quick change of course from killing to diplomacy inspires Thalressa to appreciate more the camaraderie of their fellowship.
The goblins tremble, but hold strong for some reason "We will not let you at the prisoner! Our boss was just following orders from our master. We are not standing down." says the left goblin and the right one just yells in a very new yorkeresk accent "Yah"

Thalressa fires a beam of eldritch energy at the left goblin as a new flower appears on the target and its body flies backward as the force of the blast barely skids off its head and blows its brain apart.
Ivor sees Thalressa kill the goblin to his left, and one last goblin, alive, to his right. Naturally, Ivor decided that the goblin to his right should die, and so he ran at it, swinging his morningstar in an overhead arc as he sprinted. The Morningstar connected with the goblins chest, one of the spikes pushing deep and penetrating his heart. Ivor pulled the Morningstar out of the monster and took a breath, as everything within sight was dead and nothing else came at him, for now.

As the group calms down, they search around the grove and in the boss' room you find the mayor, tied up, bloodied, and unconscious. Everyone manages to get him back to the campsite and head out for the mountains the next day in the guidance of the now fully healed Mayor. You finally come to the base of the mountains with icy peaks and have ascended into the pass. Upon nearing the summit and the peak of the pass, the path has had many patches of ice covering the ground. Trees have disappeared about 2 miles back and the trail is beginning to flatten out. Now, however, the trail is fully covered in ice and leads down a winding path with sharp rocky cliffs to each side in a pseudo-valley on the ridge. The sky is not visible as a thick layer of white cloud blocks it out and the air is light and sharp with its coldness. The altitude is way over 8,000 feet high and this will cause the group to have to deal with high altitude atmosphere. The mayor on this part of the expedition has brought a pair of Boots of the Winterlands and does not have any problem with the cold, but it is starting to affect everyone else.
As the cold just begins to set in, the group rounds a corner of the path and the blizzard picks up as a fallen caravan mostly blocks the path in front. It seems to be iced over like the ground and has 3 visible figures moving around it in a very mindless fashion. They seem to be purposeless, but one then begins to swing a sword at the cart with little success of doing anything. Another one comes into view as the group watches from the distance and the blizzard blocks out any sounds from the figures and obscures their appearances. At this point the mayor speaks out in his shaky and nervous voice "I'm just going to let the rest of you go on ahead and deal with anyone we run into, don't worry about me freezing to death with these boots, but I don't want to be killed, so please notify me if anything goes wrong." And he motions for the group to go forward
OOC: The terrain of the icy ground is considered difficult terrain and imposes disadvantage to acrobatics as well as halves all movement. The figures and cart are about 100 feet down the path and don't seem to be moving far themselves. Also, the cart only supplies about 5 feet of birth on both sides of the path since it is on its side. You can currently discern objects 60 feet from you easily, but any farther and they are obscured by the blizzard.
What would you like to do?
Thal is going to suggest moving forward carefully since the ice is treacherous and try to get a better view on these guys. Also, she is going to pull out her bow in case anything is wrong. They might not be friendly.
Vilk brought up his bow just as Thal had, he could not be caught off guard. Yet Vilk was more use to forests than he was of mountains. That said, he carefully walked with the group hoping that they would be able to get a better view of the situation.

Kazander moves up alongside Thalressa, arrow nocked to the string of the dead goblin's shortbow. It wasn't the best weapon he ever held, but it would do in a pinch. Maybe that wagon has some warmer clothes in it. He flicks his eyes back towards the mayor, because something about the fat little human made the bard... Unsettled.

The group charges forward and once they near to 60 feet, the skeletons and zombies take notice and turn their weapons on them. Initiative is as follows:
Skeletons 22
Thalressa 21
Vilk 18
Kazandar 17
Ivor 12
Zombies 10
In the first instances of combat, the skeletons lay fire into Vilk with 2 arrows. One falls short while the other impacts into his shoulder (Nat 20 to hit) and makes him bleed considerably (10 damage). Thal then reacts and a flower appears on the skeleton that hit and sends a blast of eldritch energy, but it misses just shy of its bones (12 to hit which misses).
Vilk pulled the arrow out and rage was in his eyes. Fighting through the pain he quickly knocked an arrow and took aim at the skeleton that shot him. With expert precision, Vilk let loose the arrow sending it straight into the skeleton's skull, smashing it to pieces.

As Ivor moves to strike the zombies, the undead move from behind the cart after the handaxe strikes the wide top of the cart.
