Backstory
Vilk Dusza was born to a small clan of wood elves that traveled much. Each member of the clan taught him what he needed to learn in order to survive in the wild. His father taught him swordplay, his mother the bow and arrow, his uncle taught about animals and his grandmother taught him about plants and how the world was all connected.
It was a good life. When he was a young man a raiding party of Orcs and Drow came through and attacked the clan. The raiding party had suffered a great loss but no were near as dear as Vilk, for he had lost his whole family.
Not knowing what else to do, Vilk retreated to the wilds were he survived on his own for some time. While finding comfort in animals and nature Vilk still went into small villages and helped out with local work. Mostly his trade through the forest area led him to be a guide of sorts. It wasn’t until later that he became a bounty hunter for small towns and large villages. He tried to stay clear of most cities and felt out of place when in them.
Through his travels a simple truth has always stuck with him, the strong survive and the weak perish. The strong survive and rule over the weak. If one is to be able to defend themselves then they must be willing to fight for it. To Vilk strong does not just mean strength it also means fortitude, cunning, and wisdom. He has amassed a wealth of knowledge mostly through nature and is willing to share what he believes as life lessons.
I am currently in the process of deciding the 4 players to participate in this game. I will post my decision later tonight and anyone who is playing needs to PM me and we will chat about small things before I discuss with them about the Discord chat room we will use and the dice room. If anyone can't join, the next will be selected. Also if anyone fails to respond within a week, I am sorry, but I have to move on to the next.
My decision has been made. The players involved will be as listed below. Everybody had cool characters, but this is the final group I settled upon. Please PM me to discuss the start of the campaign.

Official KickOff (Only Players & DM Allowed to Post)
(Recap: Cast astray from the village he used to lead, the mayor of the village Ridgewind finds himself struggling to find help. He has traveled for over a month through the wilderness to finally reach main civilization and begins his search for stray adventurers looking to aid in his blight. His village has been overtaken by the infamous crime gang, The Crimson Tooth who now use the village of Ridgewind as a remote base to operate out of. Being over a month away from any other major village or city, Ridgewind is still self-sustainable in an oasis in the mountains that allows The Crimson Tooth to plague the rest of the empire with small criminal instances. The mayor, now searching for assistance, has to find those he feels are the best fit to aid in his struggles and has chosen 4 to head north with him. You four have agreed to journey with him to his hometown, but the journey will not be easy and when you get there everything may not be what it seems as the mayor is constantly looking over his back, but his promise of fame and fortune are hard to pass up.)
New Story: From their new cooperation started by the mayor of Ridgewind, the party has been traveling for 2 weeks through dense woods, and across hills and valleys. They have lived off the land, and what rations they have brought, but it is turning winter and food is becoming scarce. The party members have to travel farther off the trail to get the food they need and now are required to take whole days to just secure enough food to survive. The first snowfall has just hit the ground and the only animals in sight are birds and a few rabbits. The party is now camping off the trail by about 30 minutes and awake to the new fallen snow. They must travel out, find the food for the day, deal with water, and pack up for the day’s travel. However, today is different as the mayor is nowhere to be found. His tent is crumpled and there are clear signs of a struggle along with his belongings strewn across the ground. There are a few tracks through the area and some distinct marks that lead in a few directions from the camp. The party tenses up as these tracks are clearly goblin tracks which have been spotted increasingly in this area. The party cannot travel onwards without the direction of the mayor so finding him is crucial.
Jumping up at the sight of this, Thalressa lets out a little scream "The mayor is gone! Did the little short ear get cold feet and ditch us?" Springing up into action she'll go over to investigate. She will investigate (+1) to see what happened here. Noting that it seems like a struggle she'll run around and wake everyone else up and bring them over to the tent, or what is left of the tent.
"Come on, come on. I don't think I see any blood, what happened here?"
While we're checking it out she'll also try and find some tracks to see if she can figure out where they came from, how many there were, and which way they went. Survival (+3)
OOC: I tried using your link to the rolling site but it says "Rolz.org is moving to a new server, we should be back online within a few hours. I'm sorry about the inconvenience!" so if you want to roll for me on your side i'll just list my bonus to said rolls.
OOC: Join the discord and we have the app for dice rolling. Get that app when you can. If not, it's early enough just find a dice roller and do so, but when it changes to more important stuff such as combat, I will need to see the rolls myself.
From Vilk inspecting the ground, he finds that not only have about 8 goblins come through, they have impressively marked their tracks and gone in different directions. (Do a Survival check to determine if you can follow them) He also finds that much of their stored food is gone and they have now only about 3 days worth left. Also a few animal tracks are going through the area and head off in different directions. There are currently 3 paths from the campsite and each direction has its own amount and make up of tracks.
Orokos.com is a pretty solid online dice roller. It tracks every roll you make on the site, tagging them by what campaign and character you want to roll for.

"I would curse myself for such stupidity, but it seems the Goddess has already taken care of that little trifle. I pray you can read the language of their tracks, Vilk. What do you see?" He slings his pack and baglama on his back and stands ready to assist.

Ivor woke up groggily, reaching blindly for his sword to ward the sounds around him. It took less then a second, and soon Ivor was standing in the clearing, just in time to hear the bard receive a briefing of what happened. Ivor, noticing the clear signs of struggle around the tent, will examine the tent, and afterwards, the Mayor's belongings.

My Mountain Dwarf Fighter, from the Peaks of Winter Play by Post. I'm very proud of him. Thanks to VillainTheory for backstory inspiration.
From what Vilk observes the ground and can seem to determine where they came from as they all ambushed the tent from the woods, but they seem to head off in certain amounts. Two of the paths have three goblins heading down them while the other has two. The path to the Northwest has about three goblin footprints and seems to head towards icy mountains. The path to the Southeast has three goblins heading down it and heads towards denser woods. The final path heads to the west and it was the trail you came from, but it has two goblins traveling down it.
Ivor examines the tent and finds a small poorly written note, half in common and half in goblins that says "Don't follow yshbic, I have done this to myrgl and poop behind the gripple. Love the Goblins Mayor" Which is clearly a stupid dud meant to throw you off the trail, but doesn't fool anyone at the sight of it. (Ivor, give me an investigation check for the tent specifically)
You find that they have taken almost everything the mayor owned, even the book that you loaned him.
OOC: The link I sent to you guys, I will post again if need be is the one to the discord room where you just click continue to discord and you should be able to join. Here is the new link, shouldn't expire: https://discord.gg/pd2jVuv

IC: Ivor, finished with his rufflings through the Mayor's tent, turned towards the Ranger, Vilk, who seemed to be studying the tracks the goblins had left behind in their carelessness. Ivor showed Vilk the note, saying, "I hate riddles. What do you make of it?"

Vilk calls out to his companions, "The group leading west only has 2 tracks of goblins. I believe that this is a decoy to throw us off the trail. The Northwest and Southeast paths both of 3 goblins, one leads towards the icy mountains and the other to a forest. I believe that the Northwest pass is where they took the mayor and the Southeast is the group that has our supplies although I cannot say for sure."
He investigates the tracks more to see if the depressions of the tracks are different or if it seemed they were dragging something. (Investigation 14)
Kazander winks at Ivor and rattles off a couple Dwarvish curses concerning the disgusting bathing and copulatory habits of little orange goblinoids.
"Just practicing for when we catch up with them. Why would they split up? Do we think they're delivering the mayor to another party, instead of taking him home for supper?"
