Pisgah looks quite regal with his crown, seated on the plain throne like a northern reghed king made of granite. Yet, the room does not respond to this development.
"Right, well that is disappointing but not necessarily unexpected. Before we go check the other room, does anyone else see anything of interest that I'm overlooking?"
A slightly dejected looking Pisgah puts the crown back in his pack then stands up and clears the room to allow the others a chance to look around. He moves over to stand by the east door.
ArdneK inspects all the small nooks and crannies, making sure to test any trick he knows that might lead to a secret compartment. He does find a couple of spots that would be good hiding places for treasure, like a removable stone plate at the base of the throne, but they're all empty. It's likely that someone already plundered this room.
The door opens into another collapsed room. It seems nobody has been in this chamber for a long time, for there is a thick layer of dust over everything. Nothing of value remains.
"Well, that is disappointing. Shall we try 'fish eating people' doors? Surely, that is just a metaphor. Kind of like 'Never trust sushi from the Standing Stone plains', hopefully."
"Which door? West or East? I vote east but can go either way."
ArdneK hears two voices coming from beyond the door. They are talking in a hushed manner, like you would do if you don't want to wake someone up.
Voice 1: "... the goblins want to go bigger. Their leader man's big dreams. The guild will be angry with that. They will forget about us." Voice 2: "The guilds hates the stealing. They will not forget. We should get rid of it. Soon." Voice 1: "But boss man wants the treasure. Imagine what he can do with the treasure." Voice: 2: "So sure that there is treasure. There are a thousand locks here and everywhere. It could be for any of them!"
The conversation continues in this manner, the voices going back and forth. Eventually, the voices trail off and it becomes very quiet again.
Ardnek also notices that while there is no key hole on this door, the handle isn't budging a single hair. It has been barricaded in some manner.
No fish smell to be detected, but rather the smell of... rats?
ArdneK waves Pisgah away from the door. Once out of range, he will share with the others what he heard.
"Sounds like we found a door to the wererats. It does seem to be barred, so we can knock, or keep moving, perhaps find another way to get to them, if that's what we want."
"That was my thought, yes, to let them know that Shunn has been eliminated, seek an alliance with them, and help getting the key to the chest into Yek's treasury. We know that Shunn was hunting the wererats so we may have a way to form an arrangement. It may take someone that is good at persuading people to do the talking."
"I'm pretty good at deceiving and persuading people, but it's your idea, so If you want to start the conversation go for it, and I can try and interject when necessary?"
"What if we knock on the door and make them an offer? We can help take the heat off of them if they can help us. We could even offer to help them out."
"They seem to be talking about the goblins drawing the Guilds attention away from them. Sounds like they stole something from the guild also, so doesn't sound like they are friends of the guild. Shall we knock? See what kind of mischief we can cause?"

ArdneK will take his own look at the throne, see if anything stands out to him.

Arcana 18
ArdneK inspects all the small nooks and crannies, making sure to test any trick he knows that might lead to a secret compartment. He does find a couple of spots that would be good hiding places for treasure, like a removable stone plate at the base of the throne, but they're all empty. It's likely that someone already plundered this room.
"Empty, looks like someone beat us to the valuables, let's move to the next room" he says, ready to move on.
Seeing ArdneK leaving the west room, Pisgah pops open the east door.
"East is good!"
"Before I open this, did anyone check it for a trap or make sure it is unlocked?"
ArdneK moves up to the fish door, closes one eye, then the other, sniffs the air, and gives the door a once over.

Watching ArdneK sniffing around the door, he leans down and whispers "Does it smell fishy?"
ArdneK hears two voices coming from beyond the door. They are talking in a hushed manner, like you would do if you don't want to wake someone up.

"Sounds like we found a door to the wererats. It does seem to be barred, so we can knock, or keep moving, perhaps find another way to get to them, if that's what we want."
Nikkitch lifts his head, silvered eyes glittering beneath his hood. The voice that whispers from his beak is that of the first corpse.
"Your. Plan. Was. To. Appeal. To them. With. The. Pieces. Of. Shunn's. Party, yes? Should. We. Not. Just. Knock. Then?"

"ArdneK, did you hear them saying anything in particular or just indistinct voices?"
"They seem to be talking about the goblins drawing the Guilds attention away from them. Sounds like they stole something from the guild also, so doesn't sound like they are friends of the guild. Shall we knock? See what kind of mischief we can cause?"
