As the cultist turns to flee, Kyros brings his longsword around in a mighty sweeping blow, hoping to at least send the man reeling before he might escape to get reinforcements.
As the cultist attempts to run for help the Dragonborn's longsword catches him in the back of his leg, drawing blood, but not stopping him. He does wince, however, and as he turns to see how close his attackers are the last thing he sees is a half-orc, ungracefully pirouetting beneath a longsword and shoving her rapier through his left eye. As it protrudes from the back of his skull his body goes limp his other eye glazes over quickly.
The unconscious cultist, now behind the two larger members of the party, stirs and moans, but doesn't move. As you turn that way, however, checking on your soon-to-be captive, you notice a tall, pale figure walking toward you with arms outstretched and head down. Before the figure reaches you, the familiar cat that has been seen several times with Talien zips over to him and stands by his ankles, growling at the creature.
"Talien! Get this damned thing away from me! It followed me out of the keep and keeps wanting to 'pet' me... It's giving me Rocbumps..." the cat hisses.
The individual stops about 15 feet from your party, looks up, and smiles dryly. A male half-elf, tall and albino white, now stands before you. His pink eyes make a long, slow sweep of the party and then flit back to the cat, his unsettling grin widening.
Kyros sees the cultist on the ground beneath begin to stir, and turns to face the new adversary, suspiciously chasing Talien's pet towards them... "Take one more step and I'll take it as a challenge," he warns, squaring up with longsword ready, and placing a clawed foot squarely on the unconscious cultist's back to keep them pinned. "Who are you? You don't readily appear to be in league with these Villains, but it's incredibly odd that you would be chasing a cat, alone, through this siege.. now speak!"
"You're more powerful than I am, why don't you make him go away?" Talien chuckles lightly as the cat sneers at the newcomer. "Clearly you're not in league with these fine folks on the ground here, judging by your attire," Talien gestures to the now impaled cultist whose blood is covering the ground slowly. "And you seem to be enamoured with my friend here. I must commend you, he normally doesn't stick around when he doesn't want to, so clearly he's not too shaken by your advances. He's usually a pretty good judge of character as well so it seems safe to assume you mean us no harm. What's your name friend? And how have you evaded the eyes of these foes?"
"Powerful though I am Talien, you know I can't meddle in the affairs of you mortals. He simply wouldn't leave me alone so I sought you out so you could deal with him. Please, do not let him touch me...he seems harmless, but still unsettling..."The cat relaxed and sat at Talien feet, looking up at the odd half-elf quizzically.
Lias pulled her rapier back out of the cultist's skull and wiped it carefully on his shirt before turning to the stirring man. "Stay down, you - I don't want to bruise my chord hand any worse." She took a spare guitar string from her pack and wrapped it firmly around his wrists, leaving room for circulation but not escape, and stepped back so that she could guard the captive and observe the newcomer at the same time.
This person seems aloof, but completely good in character. He means none of you any harm, though he totally gives you the hillocks (orc for goosebumps).

“HELLO! Oh, oops, that was louder than expected...” Azrial sputtered out an off putting nervous laugh as he apologized.
“My name is Azrial, Death Cleric to the church of Hel.” He finished his introduction with a deep bow and a bit of a stumble as he stood back up.
“That’s a mighty fine feline companion you have there! I even got to touch his tail!” Exclaimed Azrial with his bright pink eyes gleaming with joy.
“As for not being detected by the foes, most of the time people think I’m CRAZY, so they just leave me be.” He said with a chuckle as if the notion of him being crazy was outlandish.

"A 'death' Cleric, huh?" Kyros raised an eyebrow and bore his teeth toward the wan and pallid half-Elf. "Here to prey upon innocent townspeople in this Raid?" He growled, his sword still pointed at the newcomer. But the stranger's demeanor, though peculiar, was disarming.
He relaxed his stance as he continued. "Isn't your title a bit of a paradox, though? A Cleric of Death? Why are you roaming the streets here? Besides your obvious infatuation with the cat..
As for us, we are trying to HELP these poor people, and to do something about that.." A bronze claw gestured skyward, and as if on cue, the Dragon bellowed overhead. "We don't have much time, and we can get properly acquainted when we're back inside the Keep." The Dragonborn reached down and pull the bound and barely conscious Cultist to it's feet, removing any weapons he could find.
"In the meantime, you may call me Kyros. But know, that I do not yet trust you, Cleric.." he scowled the title. "Your arrival is much too suspicious. And if you make harm against any of us, I will be there to make you answer for it!
We should search the rest of them, and stow the bodies in the bushes along the river before we head back." He said gesturing to all the corpses around them.

With one eyebrow raised, and an amused smirk crossing his lips, Talien inspected Azrial as Kyros spoke. (OOC: I want to see if there's anything weird about Azrial that we should be wary of - Insight: 11)
"Kyros speaks true. It is odd to chance upon an un-perturbed individual in the midst of all this chaos, especially one of your...quirkiness...and not expect the worst. However, you do seem rather forthright and if what you say is true, I believe you'd be of much help. You may call me Talien," Taking a slight bow, he doesn't take his eyes off of the newcomer, "Our quiet friend here is called Archibald; don't worry, it's nothing personal, he doesn't talk to us much either."
"Now, Kyros, are you and our other burly friend," Talien gestured toward the half-orc, "able to carry our informant back down into the tunnel? I'd rather not linger with that dragon about. I'd like to walk with Azrial and learn a bit more about him."
As you all assess your newfound acquaintance there does not seem to be anything evil about this person. He is truthful in that he is easily ignored and was simply following the small animal about trying to make friends with it. Though pure of heart, he still gives you all a bit of the creeps as there is definitely "anything weird," as Talien put it, about him. He's incredibly odd and quirky, though quite passive. Despite being a 'death cleric' he still seems inclined to help anyone in need.

"Do as you wish, Talien." Kyros gave the suspicious half-Elf one more glance before turning away. "Lias, can you please give me hand with this. Archibald, check those corpses for anything of value. Let's get going. There is still much to do." Kyros said as he attempted to build a harness with the rope from his pack, not only to ease the weight of the live Cultist, but also reinforce Lias efforts to keep the villain from escaping.

After struggling to lift the sling into her arms with her damaged shoulder, Lias sighed and laid it back on the ground. She lifted the ropes nearest the captive's head and proceeded to drag him behind her, his boots bouncing off any of the larger rocks or potholes in their way.

Kyros glanced at the half-Orc struggling with their captive, smiling as she remarked he should remain ready to fight. "Ha-hah, I am grateful for your consideration, my charming friend! But you needn't worry, for I, Kyros, am always ready to fight!" His demeanor was several degrees warmer now that he need not concern himself with strange Elven folk. "Though, I must insist you allow me to help! And fret not, for should the need arise, I can doubtless fend off brigands with one hand while easily hefting this lowlife in the other!" He barked a laugh, and spared the bard a wink as he lifted on the bound Cultists feet, preparing to haul the body back through the tunnel.
"As for the procession, you and I shall follow the others with our new friend here between us. I shall be last, of course, and if need be, I'll make sure that none get past my guard into the safety of the keep! Upon my life, I swear I will push them back!"
Archibald scoured the corpses of the fallen cultists, looking for any more clues about their order and anything of value they might have been carrying. After he finished his search he returned to the party "I should probably lead the procession on our way back, yes? I can scout ahead and make sure nothing new has taken up residence in the tunnel."
