May your camping be pristine, tick free, and bless your hair to smell like smoke for the next week.

Everyone that crossed the threshold of the arch and went into the portal (So just Eggo Lass and Hugh so far) appear in the first level of the dungeon, The Tomb of The Fire Savant. The Fire Savant was a powerful mage, but after being killed in an arcane accident, his desert grave remained untouched until the Blood Archivist selected it as the first dungeon in his gauntlet.
Eggo Lass and Hugh, you are in a spacious 25 feet by 25 feet room made of sandstone bricks. There is a door to both your left and right, and the room is mainly empty apart from a few long rotten corpses that have been picked clean of supplies. However, the soft sandstone walls of the room are etched with names of past adventurers from top to bottom. What would you like to do?
[I encourage anyone that hasn’t come through the portal yet to head through to avoid splitting the party]

Hugh looks at Eggo, "Where is that damn cat?" He makes a quick survey of the room and then heads to the left door. He stops about 5 feet in front of it and stats intently looking at it. (Check for traps 24) (Hugh will check for traps before doing anything else. DM can roll that if you want.)
Hugh successfully identifies that there are no traps on or around the left door, and since you rolled so high, he also spots that out of the many, many carved names in the brickwork, the name ‘Ivory’ has been expertly chiselled in large font covering many other people’s names on a nearby brick. Unless Ivory is an expert stonemason, which you doubt, it’s clear she used magic to achieve such a high quality engraving.

Eggo Lass takes in the sight. "Thanks for checking for traps, Hugh." she says, "Would be rather unpleasant to walk into one of those. Now let's see, this is the dungeon of a fire mage. There's a beast present. I have to wonder if we're going to come across a firey wolf or something. Maybe a lava badger? A volcanic dragonfly?"

Hugh and Eggo Lass see a blue skinned Tiefling come into the room. He looks behind him to see if he’s being followed.
“Sorry I’m late but that Asrreich can talk your ear off! I tried telling him I was coming in here to join you guys and he wouldn’t stop talking about his dad. I get it! Your dad disappeared, this is a dangerous place, we shouldn’t be here, we’re all gonna die, the world’s gonna end! I got it! I got it! finally, I told him one of the tents was on fire, and when he looked, I dove through the portal. Well, it’s nice to be here now. My name is Tharkun Ainur, but you can just call me Tharkun. Although this was the dungeon of a fire mage, your nature check allows you to realise that since this dungeon is geographically placed in a desert, the beast within could just as likely be a desert creature as a magical fire creature. You're still not exactly sure about what it could be however, but you've now got a few rough ideas about potential mammals that could inhabit this landscape.

In the room made of sandstone bricks with two doors, Aridrey takes note of the names in the bricks. “Wow. That a lot of adventurers.” Aridrey scratches her name. ”Now, which way did everyone go?” Perception: 17
Unless I’ve missed something everyone is still currently in the first room, with the left door being checked for traps. There would be thousands of names etched on the walls, but most would have been worn away over time. I’ll create a list of a dozen or so names that will become important later that you took note of though.

Looks like everyone's in the dungeon now, @groverbloom and @nonamedndplayer, are you still interested in playing? If so, it would be best to introduce your characters and get them into the dungeon soon before the rest of the party starts getting too deep and it becomes a pain and a hassle to manage a split party in a dangerous environment. If you're not interested in playing or aren't free anymore, I've got absolutely no problems with that either.
[To the rest of the party, don't worry about waiting around for them too much as I would hate for the campaign to loose momentum and for us not to progress just because we're sitting around waiting for a response. Feel free to continue into the next rooms, if they don't respond within a couple days, it'll probably be too late and it shows they're not all that interested. You've all engaged super well with campaign so far so can't wait for the next bits! :)]

"Perhaps a hyena. Gods I hope it's not gnolls." mutters Eggo Lass. She follows in Aridrey's steps and pulls out a dagger to etch her name beside hers. After doing that she takes a moment to etch some additional lines to turn Ivory's name into "Tuvarx."
"So left or right?" she asks the others. She condenses the orbs of her dancing lights into a humanoid shape. "I can send this before us. Hopefully any hungry animals mistake it for prey and give us a warning that way."
As you check around the room and plan amongst yourself, you hear from the room to your left a loud knocking noise against metal, followed shortly after by large metallic thud.
