The War Chief goes to dodge but before his prayer is answered, the beam of light strikes him in the heart. He clutches his chest, seeming near to defeat and says 'Hnggg. Pitiful of me to expect help from my god when it is my duty to fight my battles, and mine alone. Unlike that traitor there...', referring to the blue Orc, who is still cowering.

Sly and Salamander are up!

"Hehe thank you," Salamander takes a bow at Eggo Lass's praise. He flexes his monkey tail and squints, aiming his sights on the same orc once more. He puts one dagger into his tail and the other into his right palm and sprints at the War Chief with all his great might and hits the wall, but he keeps going. Instead of falling flat, he jumps off the wall and takes a swing right in the guy's back. He makes monkey howls (specifically gibbon) as his throat sac inflates like a frog (... or like a gibbon). "OH OH OOH OOOP AH AH!!!"

The blade goes sinking in down deep. Then, pushing off his back with his hind legs, he uses his momentum to stand himself perpendicular to the orc's back and wrap his monkey tail around the orc's neck to ultimately slash him in the throat with such a manic grin. "Do not expect so much of gods when nature is this cruel."

This sounds uncharacteristic of him, but he bears this truth very responsibly, haughtily stepping on the toes of the War Chief as he runs down.

"Traitor or not, we will all eventually turn to dirt. You just will earlier." 

The first dagger goes deep into the heart of the War Chief, then the second slashes cleanly across his throat. He gives a few gutteral coughs, before dropping to his knees, defeated. 

You are now out of initiative, great job guys!

What about the Blue Orc?

[You can take a look at hit points on the sheets in the campaign, but I’d say Graelor’s the most wounded

As for the Blue Orc, I’ve got sneaking suspicion that Eggo Lass plans to stick him in the chest to see what happens lol]

Graelor uses his Channel Divinity: Preserve Life and heals himself.

We need a LONG REST, DESPERATELY!!!! 

[Yep, I recommend a long rest too. Even though this might be meta gaming, I think it’s fair to inform you that you’re not going to have any more encounters this dungeon. You’ve still got a fair amount you could possibly do here though, such as check on those bodies and do what you wish with the Blue Orc, along with checking other rooms, looking further at that chest etc.]

Graelor suggests to the party that we deal with the Blue Orc, then take a LONG REST. Afterwards, we will be able to search the bodies and the other rooms.

What does the rest of the party say?

"YES! HE IS DEAD~ HE IS DEAD~" Salamander dances around his dead body, repeatedly flicking his head with his monkey tail. "WHOOP WHOO- WOOO WHOOP WHOOP!" There goes the gibbon noises again. He casts Goodberry, spilling the berries back and forth in his hands like doing a science experiment with two flasks, just to mock him before putting them away.

Finished dancing and also playing his birdpipes (actually on key even as he was holding it with his tail), he jumps off the dead orc and just stares at the not-dead one. It becomes a five second staring match before he suddenly charges, jumps, and attempts to grapple that one.

Most likely he just faceplants into the guy's knees because he is that small.

Eggo Lass chuckles as Salamander rushes the blue orc. She keeps the darkness up while approaching. Though her mind gets started on legal precedents she looks at the cowering orc and decides it's likely not necessary. In the darkness she telepaths to it, (We have a simple task for you. Complete it an you might live. Otherwise a hooting goblin will be the least of your issues.)

Intimidation: 8+6 = 14

[[ No issues with Graelor using his CD on himself. IIRC Preserve Life couldn't even be used on anyone else anyways due to that half hit point max limit. And he'd taken a bit of a hit. ]]

Salamander rushes to tackle the orc but is simply reflected back by the shield he's holding. After he hears Eggo Lass's telepathic announcement, he simply says 'What do you want from me?' 

However, before you make any further moves, you hear something shift behind you, then something darts at incredible speed out of the room. At first you're terrified that it might be the War Chief, who somehow might not be dead, but you turn around to see the body of the Tabaxi Wizard, known to the majority of the party as Ivory, has disappeared. You suspect she may have had a feign death spell or similar active on her the entire time, and only now the threat has been neutralised has she made her escape.

"Two things." says Eggo to the orc as Ivory makes her escape. "First, and this is very important, tell us everything that happened while you were fighting that tabaxi! What spells did she cast? How hard did you hit that caused damage and what missed? I don't care how minor you think it is, we need details." She vows to kill anything remotely cat-like in the future. "Second, a simple experiment."

The orc says 'I wasn't the one that fought the tabaxi, I swear! Our chief was the one that fought all these adventurers, and when I fled from our battle she was already here!' He then looks petrified as you mention an experiment. 'What are you going to do to me?'

Eggo Lass sheathes her wand beneath her clothing, lifting the darkness. "Come this way." she gestures towards the direction of the chest. "Shall we head out?" she asks the group.

Graelor readies his mace and stands menacingly over the Blue Orc (adding an INTIMIDATION a roll of 12) and yells, MOVE! at the remaining orc. Graelor will follow him closely as they both follow Eggo Lass to the chest.

The orc was going to protest to Eggo Lass, but then quickly jumps to his feet after Graelor shouts at him to get up and go, obediently walking into the chest room.

Salamander rubs his head after smacking into that shield. "Owie." After seeing literal stars, he jumps up and down at the prospect of Eggo Lass and Graelor ('yes, Graelor show us you dark side!'). "Hehe ehehe ehehehehe!" Salamander is so giddy at this. He wildshapes into a boar and pokes and prods the orc with his tusks to get him to go forward.

Sly, uninjured from the fight, had made a move towards the spell book clutched by the tabaxi. But now that Ivory just disappeared, she looks a bit annoyed. "Could have suspected that." she muses, and follows the rest of you out.

She tells the group. "I can search the room magically if we have some time.", offering to cast detect magic as a ritual.
(OoC: Since Sly doesn't have the spell prepared, ritual-casting is the only option, otherwise I'd suggest instant cast if we're going to long rest anyways)

"Sounds like a great idea, Sly." says Eggo Lass.

To the orc she points out the chest and orders, "See that chest? We want to figure out where it goes. So we need you to go through it. Perhaps let's start with dipping your toes in. And we'll go from there."
