"Just shank..." Penley remembers the bartender is there and decides not to push his luck. He leans down and whispers in Bok'shir's ear "Go take him outside and get rid of him. I'll get us a room and some food" he lightly jingles the bag of party funds in his pocket.
He stands back up and looks at the bartender. He lazily walks up to the counter and leans down, resting his elbows on the bar. Then he feels how sticky it is and decides its a bad idea, instead setting his arms by his side
He begins to speak in a relaxed, friendly tone "So, friend. What would ya say to hooking us up with some grub?" He says, curling his teeth into what the rest of the group thinks ios supposed to be a smile, but he looks more like he's baring his fangs.

The female orc bartender (don't remember if I've said anything about her previously) takes one look at the unconscious redbrand. "No. I don't think that's wise"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"What? Come on, surely a skilled bartender like you can whip up some food for some weary adventurers?" Penley says, this time his smile looking more like a smile.
"He minion. Lowest low. Want know bout big bosses", he replies. "Him answer", he adds.
He looks to the others, hoping one of them has some rope.
He looks way up at the big bartender and then back to Penley.
"Think she worry minion big boss not like", he says pointing at the redbrand slouched in the chair.
"Sooner eat, sooner leave", he says turning back to the orc.
Deception: 5+5=10
(OOC: Not my day either. Probably won't be posting for a while now, possibly a week, so will see what you all get up to. Bok'Shir wants to know numbers and where the Redbrands live. Is it that place the one that ran was heading for etc :-) )
"His people happen to be my biggest customers. They aren't nice people and the town was better without them so I don't care what you do to them. They have it coming. But I won't have them thinking I'm working with you otherwise that's my business and possibly me gone. So please, take him elsewhere before more of them come from the Manor"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"We'll get rid of him, but we also need a place to rest. We've been traveling and are very weary. If once we dispose of him, you could provide us with a meal, that would be fantastic. We're willing to pay, of course." Penley tries to persuad the orcish woman, jingling the bag of coins at his hip
"See..."Says Muck, pouting, to no one in particular. "I told you we shoulda just slept in the gutter." The goo shifts back in humanoid form while it lets the grown ups do their money stuff.

"They only customers. They no let folk in", Bok'Shir replies to the bartender.
"You help. We stop. Others come to tavern. No need scum then", he suggests. "Others at Manor? Manor is what?", he adds after a moment of thought.
He makes no move to take the redbrand out of the tavern, realising that the bartender possibly has as much information as their captive. And they seem willing to share in order to get them to leave.
(oops. Thought I replied to Penley) "If you get rid of all redbrands from Phandalin, you can have a meal on the house. Would be nice to set my own prices again rather than the piss poor prices they pay me. Can't argue though if I want to stay here. Tresendar Manor up the hill is an old Manor. It's where they come from so I belive it is where they have made a lair."
Bridgette scowls... she isn't a fan of bullies and brutes. Not after her experience with the Drow slavers...
"I'm more than happy to teach them a thing or two," she tells the others. "Non-lethally, if possible... but... I won't lie, I won't feel too bad about ending them either considering the kind of people they apparently are."

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Muck's "head" pivots 180 degrees to look at the bartender and the others, with an inscrutable, but unsettlingly excited-seeming expression... "Wait, you mean we're allowed to die more people?" It looks to Bridgette... "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

"It's a good thing" Penley interrupts, a smile spreading on his face. Normally, surface societies didn't like his bloodlust, but these people seemed to have no qualms about it. "A very good thing..." he trails off, deep in thought, then his head snaps up
"Bok'shir!" he snaps "Why don't we tie up our friend here" he gestures to the unconscious Redbrand "And give him a little wake up call. I have some questions."

"It's not normally a good thing. It depends on who is dying. If someone is killing you, I would be surprised if you thought it was good. But those people have killed our townfolk. They have taken our livelihoods, and they have made our lives hell. So I'm willing to accept their deaths. That said, please don't tie him up in here. Or if you do, please tie me up too so it looks like I was not willing."
Bridgette shrugs at the suggestion of tying up both the captured thug and the bartender.
"I'm fine with that... can I get a drink first, though?"she asks with a chuckle. "And... um... I'm not sure the boys here have enough rope to get both of you... you wouldn't happen to have any extra, would you? You'll technically get it right back..."
She understands the other orcish woman's concern about what might happen if she seems to be a willing participant in the hijinks. And she would like to make sure that the innocent woman doesn't end up suffering for the actions of the warlock quartet. Perhaps it would be better just to take the captured thug somewhere else but... well... Bridgette is tired and she would really like a drink before going off on another suicide mission.
Muck points to the bartender ... "Or we could just die her too. If we want it to seem like we weren't on the same side, that would be really convincing."
Muck beams with genuine pride for the idea it just thought of, not really grasping the implication.

She grabs some rope from the back room, and a drink for you (3cp). "I also don't know what you plan on getting out of him that I can't say. I overhear most of it working here"
Muck shrugs in response to Bridgette's response to the idea. "Fine. You know best." starts to shlorp into the floor, finding it increasingly difficult to maintain its form. With a yawn it says, "Can we have a little snoozaroonie before we go killing again though, boss? I'm feelin' a bit tuckered."

Bridgette sighs and rubs her head, silently reminding herself that Muck literally doesn't have a brain.
"No, Muck, she's a friend... and friends don't kill each other," she says gently. "I can explain why later..."
She turns to her fellow orc with an apologetic smile.
"Sorry... he's a bit special."

"Know how many? Know how navigate den? Know who big boss? Where big boss sleep?", he asks her.
