(Oh I know, we're probably a bit over level for those. Just thought we might make quick work of gaining some minor rewards.)
Fah'lin spends most of the trip to Wave Echo Cave walking along side Cadail, talking to the mare about their mishaps. "... And there was this girl there! ... Thar was able to translate it so we opted to take another route. ... Igneous said they weren't from his order. ... Gijigume was right out there woopin' that tree. ... Aeliarin was able to see it. I don't know. ... So now there's some terrible horror on the loose. ..."
If you want to use the Forge to make magic weapons and armour you'll need a wizard to control the process with an Arcana check. Thar has +7 with the skill. +1d6 from Aeliarin's bardic inspiration another +1d4 from Guidance. You could also hire a cleric to cast Enhance Ability so that he will get advantage on the roll (it's also a Sorcerer/Bard spell so Aeliarin could take it but it has limited functionality out in the world).
Making a +1 weapon/armour will cost 1000 gp per attempt and the Arcana check is DC21
... A 2% share in the mine = 1000gp per year plus access to the forge. ...
(Total gold, excluding income from the mine, including the stated value of the above knick knacks and breastplate = 16,313 gp 65 cp. 1564 is Arya's, leaving 14,749 or 2,950 each. Fah'lin went into Wave Echo Cave with all of one shiney gold piece, so individual mileage may vary.)
Fah'lin will ask Thar to attempt to produce a Quarterstaff +1 and a Shield +1 as well, if possible.
He also offers to contribute to the effort by performing a special Ceremony in Thar's honor commemorating the event. Certainly completing such an adventure signifies a Coming of Age for an Eladrin of Thar's age (which is unknown to me.)
Thar is age 86 so a few years short of adulthood, but probably close enough to have a coming of age. The question is how long does it take to 'enchant' an item for if the ceremony can apply to his only once we should do as many items as possible in the 24 hours it works. And definitely hire the cleric for Enhance Ability.
We might be able to convince Aeliarin to take Enhance Ability. It could definately be useful out in the world, but it's certainly situational. Gundren and Nundro could probably benefit from our visits, and may pay for the investment.
What magic would benefit Aeliarin and Thar? Could the forge produce a Pearl of Power?
Thar’s question about how long each item takes: 8 hours for his part of the process
Whenever a sorcerer goes up a level and takes new spells he can also replace one existing spell with a new choice so you can get rid of a spell that isn’t getting used.
The 1000gp to enchant a “+1” item doesn’t include the materials cost of that item. You can enchant a pearl of power but that feels like a “+2” item 4000gp and DC26. The forge can make things not weapons or armour but the “+” is more subjective. Remember if the arcana check fails the money is still gone. You could make a Hammer of Thunderbolts for 25000gp and a DC 41 check
Hiring a 3rd level cleric to cast enhance ability multiple times 100gp per day.
Truth stalks through the Coliseum, Inspired by her own words. Completely undetected she Passes Without Trace as her Ioun stone circles slowly around her. (Stealth: (2)42)
So if Thar could roll d20 with advantage 6 times. Those trying for two items can take a second pass if a roll fails and you still have enough money for another try. Except maybe Fah'lin? Do you want both rolls for the quarterstaff if the first roll fails?
From my reading and the time to enchant an item each of Thar's Arcana Checks would have a different roll for +1d6 from Aeliarin's bardic inspiration and +1d4 from Guidance. And then there is his a special Ceremony which I assume would be good for the first 3 items only.
DM Note: Those two where side quests attached to the main Mine Quest - three weeks of real time for not that much gain. We are now in down-time mode

OOC: None of the treasure really appeals to Gijigume (others will want the wand more). Magical armour/shield might be useful.

Gijigume could do with with his studded leather armour enchanted to +1 along with shied.

(A +2 item is rarer (in terms of the item rarity) than the pearl, but doesn't have attunement. Any chance for a middle-ground?
We'll revisit this DC41 business when it comes time to put together a Belt of Storm Giant Strength or a Black Dragon Mask)

(Side note: Gauntlets of Ogre Power, Belt of Storm Giant Strength and Hammer of Thunderbolts don't stack at all. To get that 30 strength you'd need to be a level-20 Barbarian with a Manual of Gainful Exercise, and attune and equip all three items. A lot of effort for that last +1 strength...)

This is why I said that the "+" for non weapon/armour is more subjective. I'm always willing to be convinced if you think the "+" is too high.
How do you get to 41? +5 from 20 intelligence +6 proficiency bonus 17th level +6 from https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/55136-expertise +1d12 bardic inspiration 15th level +1d4 from Guidance +1d20 = max 53
(Don't doubt the possibility of hitting DC 41 at all. Here I rolled a 10 on the d20:
Of course there's no Pass Without Trace for Arcana)
(As for the pearl it'll be up to the casters to make those arguments. I just suggested it so they don't do all the work and gain none of the rewards.)

Aeliarin already chose a new spell and a replacement (Levitate and Fireball). Maybe Thar could pick up Enhance Ability in his spellbook.
Aeliarin would be interested in studded leather +1, if nothing else.
Ignoues is fine, with his dagger and unarmed defense, not much interests him except for an item that could raise his defense without being armor
Marvarax and Sora (Dragonborn) The retired fighter and WIP scholar - Glory
Brythel(Dwarf), The dwarf with a gun - survival at sea
Jaylin(Human), Paladin of Lathander's Ancient ways - The Seven Saints (Azura Claw)
Urselles(Goblin), Cleric of Eldath- The Wizard's challenge
Viclas Tyrin(Half Elf), Student of the Elven arts- Indrafatmoko's Defiance in Phlan
Enhance ability is not a wizard spell
Cloak of Protection would be better than a Shield +1. Also fits Igneous specification.

Cloak of Protection would be "+2" because it gives a plus to AC and saving throws
Okay, the order is Fah'lin Quarterstaff +1 and a Shield +1
Arya +1 Short Bow
Gijigume +1 studded leather armour +1 Shield
Aeliarin +1 studded leather armour

Fah'lin's Quarterstaff - Arcana: 18 + Bardic Inspiration: 1 + Guidance: 2 + Ceremony: 4
Fah'lin's Shield - Arcana: 21 + Bardic Inspiration: 6 + Guidance: 1 + Ceremony: 3
As they both seemed to work Thar will then do
Arya's Bow - Arcana: 13 + Bardic Inspiration: 5 + Guidance: 4 + Ceremony: 2
And with the Ceremony effect ended
Gijigume's Studded Leather Armour - Arcana: 16 + Bardic Inspiration: 3 + Guidance: 2
Gijigume"s Shield - Arcana: 24 + Bardic Inspiration: 4 + Guidance: 3
Aeliarin's Studded Leather Armour - Arcana: 10 + Bardic Inspiration: 5 + Guidance: 3
