Aeliarin’s Favored of the Gods saves his hide and his Magic Missile does just enough damage to kill the Oni.
As Igneous’ owner has vanished Igneous himself has been called home for an emergency. Being only five now this place will be even more dangerous, especially as he will be taking Undead’s Bane with him. So after this battle you are now 7th level.
Fah'lin groans and suggests we take a minute to rest as his eyes begin to glow with a feint radiant light. He can now see in darkness as if it were bright light.
He takes a step back when the wand is revealed. He'd rather not touch it.
(Whoever takes the spell storing ring, my interpretation of the text is that the person casting a spell into it needn't be the person attuned to it. Do I could cast a spell like Hex into the ring and another player could cast it then. Is that correct? Also rituals could be cast into the ring and then cast later with standard casting times.)
Fah'lin sees one ring is shaped like a shield. That might suit him well.

(Recovered 5 hp from Hexblade's Curse)
I agree with all of that except about casting time. A ritual in the ring has a ritual’s casting time.
Arya’s eyes go wide on seeing the ring. She turns to Gijigume “Keep the cloak, I want that.”
"This wand appears to be a harmless knick-knack; I'll hold on to it if you like," Aeliarin suggests.
(How many HP is Aeliarin down?)
As Thar’s owner is still away for a couple more weeks I’ll speak for him. He examines it without touching it “That thing makes my skin crawl. You can have it with my blessing but beware, it may cost you more than you’re willing to pay.”
DM Thar can’t use it as he is lawful. It’s full benefit requires that you use spells that have attack rolls so when you go up a level you should reorganise your spells to take at least a couple of those.
the party is very beat up so you could take a long rest here in this comfortable room.
Arya will summon Owly again, she also wants to have the spell casters put some spells in the spell storing ring. Shield, Misty Step hex and cure wounds
Fah'lin has slots for the four before a long rest, but casting any but Cure Wounds with a second level slot will have little benefit, but presumably still take two levels of the ring's storage. He'd also like to put Lesser Restoration on it.

Okay Lesser Restoration, Misty Step and Shield. Misty Step for sneaky movement, Shield to stop that killing blow and Restoration to bring anyone back from a crappy condition.
Last thing to decide, Gijigume and Fah'lin both want the ring of protection (actually Arya wants it as well but she wants the spell storing more) Fah'lin current AC 22 Gijigume current AC 21. If you want to dice for it both roll 1d10.
Okay, now that that is settled you make your way back to the entrance with the riddles and find someone standing there looking at the riddles. A large goliath in plate armour and shield, armed with a war hammer.

When you search the Oni’s quarters and body you find 1,000 ep, 200 pp, four pieces of jewelry worth a total of 11,000 gp, a potion of healing (greater), a scroll of protection (undead) plus a ring of protection and a ring of spell storing.
Under the Oni’s bed you find a strange wand so black that it absorbs all light that touches it. https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/229651-eater-of-souls

"I'd say the ring of protection would be more use to me in the front line than this cloak," comments Gijigume, as he uses his second wind.
