Lanoros will stay with Redleaf, and return in the morning with her. "I think it may be best if we stay together. You said you've been having strange dreams about men in masks. "What, you think we are buddy buddy now since we walked here together?" Redleaf frowns. Upon seeing Phantom Redleaf smiles and gives her a small treat and pats her on the head. "It was a series of dreams actually about a hooded figure wearing a mask. He was destroying the nearby wildlife and surrounding lands. The dreams always showed this man heading towards the Dessarin Valley so I packed up and came this way."
Redleaf absently strokes Phantoms side while she remembers her dreams. "Once in the Valley I heard rumors that these masked men may be in Red Larch, I was going to head here until I got the message from the big tree that said it was urgent. Since we go back centuries I dropped what I was doing and here we are."
Redleaf eats some berries and washes it down with some fresh water before continuing. "As for my other dreams, there was this one dream where a young dwarven miner was injured and I found him in the mountains. I nursed him back to health during the cold snowy winter and to show his appreciation, the young hot dwarf with his rippling muscles stripped down out of his mining clothes and stood before me. Let me tell you something. I have never seen a 'mining tool' that big in all my life. He came over to me and grabbed me in his arms and we kissed. It was so intense like the heat from Moradins Forge. My flesh was beginning to sweat from the fiery embrace. As he reached behind me and tried to slip off my Druidic robes I bopped him in the head and threw him out in the winter snow."
Lanoros looks at Redleaf with a awkward look, "Well, I think that the wilds brought us together for a reason. And though I appreciate the detail, but I'm more curious about the hooded figure. I ask because a group of raiders attacked a village on the outskirts of the High Forest that I was tasked with watching over. They set fire to the village and slaughtered many of the people, took the rest as prisoners, there were too many for me to stop."
He becomes silent for a moment, and you can see a flash of anger appear on his face then disappear and the smiling friendly elf has returned. "They had weird cauldron looking symbols on their short coats. I wonder if they have any relation to the people in the stone masks with the triangles on their armor..."
Lanoros lays down next to Phantom and packs a pipe with some mushrooms and herbs that he keeps in a pocket. The pipe looks to be carved from a large tusk, maybe that of an orc. It is intricately carved with different creatures native to the High Forest. The opening where the herbs go is shaped like the head of a panther with its mouth open. Lanoros lights a match and begins to smoke, the smell of the herbs and mushrooms is rich and earthy, and very pungent.

Thromkor looks at the barmaid in surprise and delight. "Room service. How nice." He stands, leaning on his ebony staff, and heads for the stairs. He comments to Tibold, "'Twill be nice to not be sleeping on the ground tonight." The dragonborn stumps up the stairs and finds their room, where he claims one of the beds and deposits his meager bag next to it and his staff in a corner. He reaches to his belt and removes the two daggers and the crossbow concealed under his black cloak. Finally removing the cloak, he rolls it into something to lean against and settles himself onto the bed to wait patiently and silently for his supper.
"Thank you,"he says as he follows Thromkor to the stairs.
Tibold smirks at Thromkor's comment.
"Nice for 'civies' like us, anyhow!"
Tibold walks upstairs after Thromkor, tossing his pack onto the other bed. It clunks loudly, and Tibold winces. But nothing seems to have broken, so Tibold sets the pack gingerly on the floor and sits on his bed, unclipping his knife from his belt as he waits for the food.

He passes the dragons back to Redleaf and goes onto say "I’ll join you tomorrow to visit these cairns but after that I’d appreciate your help in tracking down more information about these mask wearing guys as I have sworn to avenge my brother’s death!”. He then leaves Gaelkurs and goes back to The Swinging Sword Inn with Thromkor and Tibold.

OOC: Thromkor and Tibold are already in their rooms and are eating in there. Thus, this would most likely happen right between Cole's question and their departure to the upstairs area of the inn.
Tibold glances at Thromkor. Well aware that Tibold will accept the halfling's request if he does not speak quickly, Thromkor looks down at Cole.
"Tomorrow," he says curtly.
Tibold frowns slightly, then looks back at Cole with a polite smile.
"I think what my companion means is that our manners need a little brushing up on after so many days of traveling. But I thank you for your offer of information, sir halfling. And I do hope we will see you tomorrow?"

The party meets with Larmon at Gaelkurs just after first light (4.30 am), there is a cold wind blowing and a brilliant red sunrise. Larmon looks at what Sirahane and Tibold are wearing and says “well you two have got no idea how cold it can get up in the hills.” He continues “us shepherds always say if’n tis red in the morn’ Lathander’s warning and if’n red at night its Sunne’s delight.” He looks over at Gotrek and says “I s’pose blokes like you don’t feel the cold, matt-a-fact reckon ya don’t feel nutting at all”. As the party is about to starts off along the Larch Path they notice what looks like a pile of very bedraggled feathers lying just outside the tavern. Suddenly it moves and a very bleary eye opens and Polly sits up holding his head thinking to himself “slowly does it”. He peers around at the party and says “where did you guys get to last night, I think I remember the earth moving and that’s about all.” He continues “my shipmates said it was never a good idea to remain in a port where you can’t remember what you did or said so I‘ll come with you, where are we going?”
About 500 feet along the Larch Path, Lanoros gives a low whistle. There is a movement in the shrubs to the west of the road and a large black cat – a panther - walks into view. It comes up to Lanoros and rubs its head against him before going to Redleaf and waiting expectantly. “Chauntea’s left tit, I’m gunna have to cut down on my drinking. Last night I thought I saw a wolf and today I know I’m seeing a panther” Larmon says.
Sirahane and Cole make an Animal Handling roll
Surprised by the sudden appearance of the panther, Sirahane manages to maintain control of her horse with some difficulty. However, Cole's mastiff seems to take a instant dislike to the Panther and raises its hackles causing Cole to fall-off. He quickly get's his mastiff back under control and the party continues to climb up into the Sumber Hills which average about 1500 feet above the surrounding land. It is noticeably colder and it is starting to snow. The Hills can best be described as windswept badlands, the wind is currently gusting up to 35 mph, sparsely covered in dry grass. Many of the hills have exposed rock faces or steep escarpments and there are still deep snowdrifts on the northern slopes.
After travelling for about ½ a day you can see a barren hilltop about ½ a mile away to the east from the Larch Path. “It was up thar that I found them cairns” Larman says pointing to the top of the hill. As the party climbs the hill, a faint smell of death hangs in the air and they can see several vultures circling overhead. When they get to the summit of the hill the party sees what appear to be can see what appear to be four freshly dug shallow graves with stones piled on top of them.
As you are standing on the top of the hill looking at the graves you hear a low, distant rumbling. A moment later, the ground beneath your feet begins shaking. The tremor is strong enough to start small slides of pebbles from the hillsides and cause shrubs and brush to wave from side to side, but then it subsides. A moment later, three horrible insect-like creatures as big as horses begin to burrow out of the ground 20 feet away from the party.
Thromkor limps at the back of the pack, all but his staff arm and head shrouded by his black cloak. When he notices the panther, he raises his empty palm at the advancing cat, but his reaction is slow enough that, before he can do more than that, Phantom's friendliness is made apparent, and the dragonborn slowly lowers his arm.
Lanoros will stay with Redleaf, and return in the morning with her. "I think it may be best if we stay together. You said you've been having strange dreams about men in masks.
