Taking Shalech's words in, she lands and steps around the corner to address Surrisk. "Surrisk." Syndra says, though no longer in sight of the group. "Or, I hear it's the Ghost Prince now."
Surrisk's hollow dead voice replies; "Who?! Is, is that Syndra? You look so different, more confident. Good, you appear to have become strong; our master will be pleased to see you."
Lura, quietly floats into the room a floor up; not walking so that her armor doesn't make noise. She heads towards the stairs; ready to strike if needed. "Oh, your niece is here too; surprised you convinced her, though I understand wanting your family to survive as well." Surrisk suddenly says. "Come on down the stairs hun, might as well join in."
Lura replies; "How did you know I was there?" "Oh, I've got eyes around this place, you just happened to walk infront of a pair of them." The Ghost Prince replies.
Both Syndra and Lura appear surprised by Surrisk's words. Lura speaks up; "Oh, the skeleton, of course. That makes sense." Her tone switches from surprised, to inquisitive; "So, tell me more about surviving. Surviving what?"
"Oh, your aunt here knows all about surviving; she followed up most the research to confirm the truth behind the Death Curse." Surrisk says before Syndra speaks up, asking. "How did you know that?"
Surrisk replies; "I'm not the only one with eyes around, Kyristan kept an eye on all his past apprentices; how did you think he knew where to send your invite?"
Before Syndra can reply, the Ghost Prince addresses Lura; "Did you know your aunt travelled all the way to Chult; tracking down the Death Curse to it's source. Impressive considering that it hasn't begun yet, very impressive."
"But, Syndra." He continues. "You know when the Death Curse will begin; don't you. That's why you are here now; why your niece is here too. Kyristan will be pleased to know too."
"I'm sure he will." Syndra replies. "Where did he decide to build his base, by the way, I didn't see it when I looked." Surrisk laughs his haunting laugh; "You should have realized that our master would emulate this tower's defense in his new tower. Still, it's impressive how he can hide so much; especially the bridges."
"Amazing." Syndra says. "Please tell me he chose a different idol than a footlong brass bulette?" She laughs at her own comment; and Surrisk laughs too; more human sounding than ghost. "No." He says through the laughter. "Kyristan doesn't need an idol; the dead are drawn to the Dragon Graveyard, what better place?"
"Wait!" Lura perks up. "What do you mean the dead is drawn there? What are you planning?"
The Ghost Prince's tone changes more aggressive; "Sorry, but that isn't info I'll freely hand a Paladin; you'll have to go through the transformation first."
Syndra speaks up; "Perhaps there is something you can tell us. We met a fallen Aasimar in town, claiming to have been experimented on by Kyristan; are you familiar with them and their story? I was honestly curious on what you wanted from him?"
Surrisk's smile can be heard in his voice; "Oh, the star child." He laughs a cruel laugh. "We found him, him and his family. Wasn't hard to steal the child away." He laughs again. "Amazing that he was able to survive the process; wouldn't have discovered how to transform Kyristan into a Lich without him actually. Him and his family; though they didn't have his durability; barely lived a year the lot of them."
At that, Shalech launches himself towards Surrisk as a pair of ghostly skeletal fligthless wings unfurl from him. "You would not have lasted an hour! You will not last an hour."

Shalech offers suggestions, "Where is Kyristan? What is Kyristan planning? What did they do to Shalech and why?"
Taking Shalech's words in, she lands and steps around the corner to address Surrisk. "Surrisk." Syndra says, though no longer in sight of the group. "Or, I hear it's the Ghost Prince now."

Kizori looks to those around him, "Do we... Do we go beat him up?" He whispers to Nathan.
Shalech answers, even though the question was not directed at him, "No, Syndra wanted to talk first. Wait for some signal."
