Zaerra picks up the pretty stone left behind by Susk. "Does anyone want this? It is rather pretty. If no one else wants it I'll take it, I am partial to a pretty stone."
If not one else wants the stone she will take it and attune to it and pop it in her secret secure pocket until she can get it made into a nice braclet or ring.
After some discussion, the party put all of the items they think might be valuable into their new bag of holding, held by Irob. They discuss their next move.
Zaerre notes that the door to the north, which according to their map would lead to a smallish room, was used often. There is no dust, unlike the other door. And no bar across it either, of course.
"It's possible this door was used often," notes Rask. "But still possibly has some form of trap or enchantment. If someone can check, I will open it when we know its safe".
Rask stands to one side, ready to open the door when given the all-clear.
Unlike the barracks, this small room holds comfortable furnishings and appears to be well cared for. There is no light source other than what the party provide.
A comfortable-looking bed in the northwest corner has a wooden locker at its foot.
A small wooden table stands against the north part of the east wall, on which sits a brass three-branch candlestick with three burnt out candles and a pool of melted wax underneath them.
Under the table is a small wooden box and an unlit bullseye lantern with a movable shutter over the lens.
In the middle of the east wall is a wooden wardrobe, one door open. On the south part of the east wall there is a padded leather chair.
There is a bookcase with some books in the south west corner.
Zaerra walks cautiously to the door and has a look inside. Her eyes light up when she sees the bookshelf. She will make her way over to the bookshelf and carefully investigate the books and any items on the shelves.
Investigate: 4 (she may have been temporarily struck dumb!)
Sanbalet’s books consists of the following volumes:
A volume of erotic poetry, fully illustrated.
A naval almanac listing tide times for the area of coast around Saltmarsh (a total of one hundred miles of coastline is covered).
A treatise concerning the demigod Iuz and its minions.
Each book will fetch 50gp to the right buyer.
Inside the third book is a sheet of parchment featuring a few simple words and phrases in the Common tongue and their equivalents in Goblin. The words include “stop,” “fight,” “lift,” “come,” and so forth — Zaerra thinks these are key words used by Sanbalet to instruct his hobgoblin mercenaries.
After looking the shelf over and admiring her finds Zaerra hands the three books to Irob for him to pop into his new bag. "These are worth trying to off load when we have a chance. I'll keep this page on me, might be helpful at some point in time, you never know."
She wanders over the footlocker and looks it over. "Excuse me Susk, do you mind checking if this is trapped or needs unlocking at all?"
Susk finds nothing that worries him, and flips the chest open.
Inside are personal items of no value (shaving kit, some spare clothes), and a small backpack that seems heavy and jingles with the sound of coins. Zaerra is disappointed not to find Sanbalet's spellbook in there.
Rask moves into the room and peers cautiously into the open wardrobe door.
The wardrobe has some useful robes and cloaks, including a fancy floor-length oilskin coat (5 gp). Its sleeves contain numerous pockets (empty), and it is trimmed in iridescent green silk.
Yga notes Zaerra's disappointment and thinks that a good wizard would probably hide their book well, and checks out the chest lid and bottom for any false compartments: investigation roll 19, perception roll 18!
Irob will follow behind the various party members and pending their permission will place any items they found and do not wish to carry within the bag of holding

Yga gives the chest a good going over but finds nothing out of the ordinary.
There are still some things to check:
The comfortable-looking bed.
The small wooden table with the brass three-branch candlestick.
The small wooden box under the small wooden table, which sits next to an unlit bullseye lantern with a movable shutter over the lens.

Zaerra can attune to the Luckstone when she has a short or long rest.

Susk will move forward to inspect the door and determine if there is anything to worry about before opening it.
Investigation :12
Susk is pretty sure there is nothing to be worried about with the door.
Rask opens the door, her maul in one hand, ready to go.
