Agreed, after being pushed, Yurgojin would have to move back to SG1 to attack and therefore couldn't use steady aim. Oh well, was a nat 1 on the second roll anyway!
Oh, you're right. I didn't think it through, obviously. Thanks for clearing it up.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

As some of you might try to climb (fly) up to grab the rod a trap damages you
DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 2d10 psychic damage, and the piece doesn’t move. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage but is able to grab and move the piece freely. So each person failing takes 5 psychic, 4 psychic, 11 psychic, 9 psychic, 15 psychic each attempt before someone either casts dispell magic or successfully saves against the trap and removes the rod from hovering.
With the sentinels destroyed and the rod in hand a voice speaks out. "I am Landro. Who are you?"
After introductions, Landro asks with intense curiosity, "Can you teach me things? I want to learn. It's not interesting to know about me, how the Cyran mages used magic to bound me to this graymatter engine. I was once just a water elemental named Lando but now I am a war machine."
Left Foot The stone door at the toe end of this hollow foot has broken in several parts and is jammed shut. Through the cracks in the door, you can see the solid stone of the surrounding mountain.
Perception DC 11, you find a dusty, lusterless gemstone lying on the ground. An Arcana Check DC 15 reveals that it's a Elemental Gem (Emerald) that has not been broken and does not have a water elemental trapped inside. It's magical but has no elemental energy.
Landro shouts out, "There, you there, the one with the dusty gemstone in your pocket. Use the stone to break the magic binding me in this dead machine. I will come with you and you can team me things. I love to learn and I've been alone for so long."
As one of you hold the lusterless stone up, as if to touch the ceramic shell over the graymatter engine, Lando cries out in haste, "I must warn you. Once I am removed from the graymatter engine, the shutdown sequence will take only one minute to self-destruct."
If everyone is onboard with this plan, you spend some time clearing a path to the closest exit. Lando says, "Even with magical haste, you cannot exit in such a short amount of time."
When the gemstone touches the engine, Lando is transferred making this a magic item Elemental Gem (Emerald) and allowing you to bring Lando with you.
A magical, soothing voice announces: “One minute until self-destruct.”
Everyone make a Dexterity Save DC 14 or fall prone as the war machine shutters and the floors shift.

Talorin's eyes are wide in delight at the sight of Yurgojin emerging from the wreckage like a hero out of mythology. "That. Was. AWESOME!" he exclaims.
As the third piece of the rod hovered above the engine’s ceramic shell, Trystane eyed it intently. The aura around it pulsed with a subtle, dangerous energy. Determined, he gritted his teeth and reached for it, only to be struck with a sudden, searing pain as a psychic backlash ricocheted through his mind. He staggered back, snarling in frustration (16 psychic damage).
But he wasn’t one to give up easily. He shook off the pain and lunged again, feeling the pulse of psychic energy push against him even harder, a piercing ache filling his head(7 psychic damage). Still, he refused to back down. Two more attempts yielded the same burning resistance, but the pain only fueled his determination(13 and 7 psychic damage). With his focus sharpened, he finally broke through the magical trap, his fingers closing around the rod piece as he pulled it free, his head throbbing but triumphant.
Suddenly, a voice echoed through the war machine’s interior. "One minute until self-destruct."
Without a second thought, Trystane darted through the corridors as the floors buckled and shook beneath him. Dodging obstacles and leaping over debris, he reached the exit just as the machine erupted into a massive explosion, the fire licking at his heels (48 fire damage).
Breathless (though still at 109/203 HP), Trystane emerged from the wreckage, gripping the rod piece tightly in his hand. He barely paused before stepping through the portal, his mind already racing forward to the next piece in the Sigil Sanctum, the rush of victory and survival buzzing through his veins.
As Yurgojin finishes off SG1 to then moves at SG2 with a devastating attack along with Trystane, Talorin prepares to ease the way on SG3.
