Nico looked away from the hulk just as Ember called out her warning, but decided he'd need an edge if he was going to actually be useful in the fight. He turned to look at the creature just long enough to utter a quick incantation.

Nico would have cursed his luck--or his lack of presence to resist the hulk's effect--if his mind hadn't immediately descended into a whirlwind of confusion. The bard simply stood in place in his corner, shaking his head as he tried to fight the effect and think clearly.
