Ember gives an embarassed shrug, "I do not think any of us came properly prepared for everything we have encountered so far." With a sad smile and a leap, Ember flits upward and over to one of the palm trees and wrestles a frond loose.

Gaining a bit of height, he will look to see where the giant school of tentacled fish monsters are lounging. "Now, let us see if we can interrupt this school..."
Ember will fly a good 30 feet away from the main 'fish' body and start slapping the surface of the water with the palm frond. Making enough splashing and ripples to imply 'something' is in the water struggling a bit. If no response occurs, he will flit higher to see what reaction - if any - the school of 'fish' is having.
Ember has a tight lipped smile on their face. Flying and dragging a wet palm frond and smacking the water while NOT taking a nose dive into the water was more of an effort than he had imagined. Still, it did seem to be working.
Flying further east and around the island, Ember continued to disturb the waters hoping the others were making good their escape from the island to the reef.
Anton helps Ember distract the creatures in the water by causing tremors in the water at a different location 30 feet away, then splashes across the shallows toward the reef as fast as he can. “C’mon, Nico, water’s fine. For now.”
Grey turns to Razzec, "so who's going down the water filled tunnel first, you or I? Hmm, how about we flip a coin".
Grey pulls out a coin and flips it, catches it and covers it up. "You call. If you get it right, i'll go first, if not, well, you.." he says with a smile.
Razzec will ask the others as they get over to him "Do you think if it would work if we close the hatch, wait a moment for the water to clear and then as soon as we open it, have someone jump in and hopefully the water will rush in and propel them through? If we do that for all but the last one and have a roped tied to them and have the others pull the last person through as the second to last person makes it through? Does that make sense or does anyone else have an idea? I'm not too eager to jump in unless we have a plan."
"I'll pick Tails but I think the two of us are going to have to stay behind while everyone else goes if we use my plan. I don't know if that makes it makes sense for whoever wins the coin toss goes first or last but I'll let you or the group decide that."
Nico listened to the discussion as he approached the hatch. "I don't think it will matter much if we try to time a dive; the water seems to be rushing down the hole fast enough on its own,"he said as he observed the situation.
He then looked at Razz and Grey, trying to hold back a cheeky smirk. "You know, I've had to do underwater explorations like this before at sea; it's not fun, but if you're both willing to hold onto my rope, I can go ahead and dive down and at least see what we're dealing with."
Before going in, Ember will use Shape Water and freezes the water around the hatch to create a frozen wall to keep more water from going down into the hatch. Using the cantrip several more times, he will have a good ice wall to prevent water from pouring down the hatch.
Ember considers his one other 'water' spell but fears it would make little to no difference at trying to empty out the 'hatch room'.
Letting out a huge sigh, the fiery fairy goes down and swims (UGH) down into the water.
