You came because you answered a call to arms. A small village on the island of Chult has been having problems with attacks by undead. Naturally as a group of well known heroes, you took ship to the village in their time of need.
After getting settled, you head out to investigate the cause of these attacks. The jungle is warm and humid. As you watch, you can see the sweat oozing from your pores. Luckily your guide has given you some sort of salve to keep the bugs off. It’s a matter of debate whether the bugs or the rotten beer smelling salve is worse.
On the third night traversing the hot house, you are awakened by horrible screams! You are just able to catch the legs of your guide as he is being dragged into the bushes. But that is all you’re able to recover, just his legs.
On the fifth night, the cries of your supply animals are cut off short. When you investigate, there are just pools of blood and bits of matted fur.
In the morning, while getting ready to return to the village or press on, you see just at the edge of your camp a leering zombie. It points at you with rotten fingers and makes a sound like “kee, kee, kee”
"Well" Nib says "I guess we should earn our coin."
As you would have learned before leaving, Nibis a big boy, for a Haregon, 6' 4" (not including his ears which put him over 7'). The Barbarian fights with a Longsword and a giant of a Crossbow, currently on his back.
"Everyone, stick close to each other! Don't get separated!"Semnande shouts. The armored aasimar tightens his shield and starts scanning for other undead. Celestial runes glimmer across his skin.
The zombie takes the arrow to the chest at 40 feet away. The swarm of bees also harass it. It doesn't react in pain but no real surprise it's a zombie. "kee kee kee.."
There is a boulder in your camp you can take cover behind.

"Ah, that looks troublesome," remarks Semnande as he rushes into the fray. The glyph on his forehead flares with light as he closes into melee with the undead menace, and a cone of snow and ice erupts forth, blasting the zombie and whatever's behind him. Semnande immediately follows up with thunderous blow from his longsword.
Quickened Rime's Binding Ice, blasting the zombie and anytime in a 30' cone beyond him. DC 17 Con save. 7 cold damage and reduced to 0 speed. Half damage on a save.
Booming Blade Attack: 12 Damage: 13 plus 5 thunder damage. Additional 14 if he decides to move.

Glink taps a small compartment on his armor, and a delicate blown-glass bird springs to life, shimmering as it takes flight. The fragile looking construct contrasts sharply with Glink’s tiny armored behemoth appearance. “Time to stretch your wings Prism,” comes Glink’s muffled voice as the homunculus engages the zombie with a discharge of energy.
Not to be outdone, Glink raises an armoured gauntlet and discharges a bolt of his own.
The kee kee zombie is frozen then blasted into a grey and pink mist! As you watch the chunks spatter to the ground you notice other figures completely ignoring the blast of cold. They drift closer.
You also see movement to the left and right, unclear shapes, some huge. Cracking branches and shuffling leaves accompany the misty shadows.

Glink Glimmergear is a small frail looking gnome. Or at least he is assumed to be. Clad completely in his Arcane Armor, it is hard for anyone to tell.
“Finally, some action!” he remarks, his excited voice muffled inside his bulky armor.

Vodin is a hobgoblin and fires an arrow at the zombie
Longbow
Attack: 14 Damage: 8
If the arrow hit a swarm of bees pours out from a second empty quiver and attacks the zombie
dealing 2 piercing damage
Then he moves to the nearest bit of cover either a tree or boulder if there is one.
End of Turn
The zombie takes the arrow to the chest at 40 feet away. The swarm of bees also harass it. It doesn't react in pain but no real surprise it's a zombie. "kee kee kee.."

Grab mybaby mace and shield, moving to engage the abomination, casting Holy Word cantrip as I do. 7 to hit, 15 or of radiant damage
The holy verse seems to have no effect (it misses).
The zombie then shouts louder, "Kee Kee Kee!"
You hear a rustling in the bushes behind it and see slowly bobbing lights and shadows in the morning mist.
