You lean over the side and watch how well the Captain is steering in these reefs. Your journey was uneventful, but the island now visible off the bow promises rare wonders. Seaweed shimmers in countless brilliant colours below you, and the rays of sunlight defy the overcast sky to illuminate the lush grass and dark basalt rock of the island. Avoiding the rocks jutting up from the ocean, your ship, the Venus, makes its way toward a calm harbour on the islands north side.
DM You have an hour before you reach a safe mooring point, introduce each other and share whatever you feel
"Greetings, I am Shayla, a worshiper of Raei." she raises her hand in a welcoming gesture.
The priest is dressed conservatively in unbleached cloak over light armor and weapons. Her pack sits by her feet with a common assortment of gear attached. She give you a warm smile as stray lock of dark hair blows across her face.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
A small kobold, dressed in leather armor, turns from the railing of the boat, taking his eyes off the endless blue. A bow slung on his back and a short sword on each hip.
“My clan name is K'arack Gen'arack Threnthenarack, but you can call me Krack. It is nice to meet you” he says with a smile, exposing his small pointy teeth.
“Has anyone been to this island before? First time for me!”
Theodor's fingers gripped tightly to the sides of the boat, knuckles slightly white from gripping a little too hard. He swayed on the deck, looking a little green, he did not grow up near the sea and the rocking of the boat made him feel unwell. He can swim, but wouldn't want to try it in chain mail.
Hearing the other travellers introduce themselves, he turned, grateful for the distraction.
Theodor is human, black hair tied back into a bun, pale grey eyes taking in the others in front of him. He cuts an imposing figure, but greets everyone with the friendliest smile you've ever seen.
"Greetings! I am Theodor Solson, follower of the Platinum Dragon" He motions to the embossed symbol of Bahamut on his shield.
"Nice to meet you Krack, this is the first time to this island for me as well. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting a Kobold before, how many were in your clan?"
Theodor turns to Shayla, "Another of the cloth! Nice to meet you. I don't believe I've heard of the deity Raei before, if I'm not being too forward, could you tell me about them?"
Captain Holtan comes up behind you. " the observatory is a piece of Art, it used to be an old lighthouse to lead ships through the reefs here. Don't worry we'll soon reach a safe mooring point. Your colleagues should be along soon, I don't think the sea agrees with them."
You hear the noise of wretching behind you. They aren't ready to come out yet. Theodor sympathises with them.
"Raei is a god of compassion and forgiveness. Her followers should express patience and mercy. I'll admit that I lack a bit in the patience department." Shayla chuckles.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
A large open air temple comes into view, perched on the edge of a cliff far above you. The ship drops anchor at the mouth of the natural harbour, and two sailors row the three of you ashore. The others would be rowed to the beach later. You have plenty of time to admire the towering statue at the centre of the temple, depicting a wizened old man surrounded by seven songbirds. A long path winds up the side of the cliff to the temple, dotted along the way with doorways cut into the rock. The Temple has stone dragons of every metallic colour leading the way to the Temple. At the gate is a platinum dragon, very lifelike, solid metal.
The sailors set you ashore on the sandy beach not trusting the rickety dock, where a large rowboat is tied. They point to the base of the path and wish you good luck before they row back to the ship. Your visit to Dragon's Rest begins!
A bald human woman with wild cosmetics, gets off the second boat. She was a very solitary person on the voyage over, keeping to herself and muttering softly to herself. As she disembarks from the rowboat, her black and purple robes trailing in the surf, she calls out, "Hello fellow pilgrims! I am Trilaxa and we will be experiencing this place together."

“Oh, pilgrims, I like that” says the small kobold, who seems positively delighted to be here. “Please, join us, I’m on a pilgrimage to learn to fly!” he adds to human woman.
As another boat arrives at shore, a purplish hair tiefling comes out of it, while adjusting his cape. After a few seconds his eyes meet the remaining pilgrims and starts flipping a coin. "Hello I'm Barakas. Does anyone have some booze around?". Before anyone could answer, Barakas sneering at both humans, Theodore and Trilaxa"
a half elf dressed in a plain black cloak, wearing a smiling white theater mask, leans over the side of his longboat and feels the water rush past his finger.
he sighs and gets out of the boat as it lands, shaking the wetness out of his hands he looks around at his companions, he laughs and runs almost silently to catch up with the rest of the group.

After Theodore's reaction upon reaching safe land, he smiles playfully. However, a small chills fell down his spine, making him almost skip his coin flip. His face turns to Trixala smiling playfully back to her.
He starts walking towards her with his usual confidence, handing her a small coin similar to his. His tail starts wiggling like a dog's. Finally Barakas whispers "Let's hope you are as lucky as you are beautiful." in infernal.
Post 1-2 times a day, I'll check 3 times a day to help move things along.
Levelling is by milestone according to the book.
Critical hit (natural 20), set one damage dice to full points and roll a second.
All dice rolls are to be done on the character sheet, or at home with real D&D dice (honours system don't cheat)
Combat initiative is rolled by party, that means that you all take a turn to fight before the enemy (or vice versa) roll is a D20.
If you want to be extra watchful or see what is going on around you roll on the character sheet for Perception. Be aware that your passive Perception may be higher than the roll.

He waits for the half elf to catch up before he warmly greets and introduces himself to Trilaxa, Barakas, and the half elf.
But his attention sways from niceties and gazes up at the temple, awe struck, he fumbles to neck to a pull out a holy symbol on a chain.
He grips the symbol, bows his head, and quietly says a short prayer.
"Great Platinum Dragon, may your grace and strength flow through me. Guide me to the righteous path"
"im veneer" he says "nice to meet you"
the half elf shakes his head at the prayer and mutters "no gods ever heard my prayers. but who knows. maybe they will soon..."
