With everyone involved in pushing you hear a grinding noise as the statue slips back to the end of the stone stair. Lets try again, this time clockwise Tarak says. Each grab part of the shield.
Again there is a grinding noise but the statue turns easily soon pointing at the sun on the mosaic. One down, three to go.
Theodor could feel resistance but put his back into it. It was as if the litany on his surcoat was talking to the statues, the nearest of which was now glowing from the crest Of Bahamut on the shield. He felt as though he could trust the statues to reveal the order. They should keep the grimoire safe, its litany still glowing on the table where it had been left by Shayla.
Working as a group you soon turn the dragons to face the centre of the mosaic. A grinding noise sounds as the stairs rise from the floor and open above. You can hear a dragon snoring. Aidron changes back into his dragon guise. Together you debate whether to all use the stairs here or try to send a few of you up the damaged exterior stairs. Maybe you could move steathily to get near to Sparkrender.
"I can have Beans fly around the outside as we sneak up? if the dragon awakes while we are moving Beans can call him names and make fun of him to distract him, and then fly off?" the kobold offers, a bit worried for Beans as a decoy.
Beans will fly up and outside so he can see the Dragon. He will try and position so he can quickly dodge behind a wall if needed and then fly away, possibly up.
Rays of light dance across the remains of this towers stained glass dome, making iridescent colour shimmer across the crumbled marble walls. Gilded lines and jewelled inlays form a detailed star map spanning the dusty floor, the stairs at the centre. You have emerged next to four alabaster statues of scholars, their expressions worn with time.
Curled in the northeast corner of the tower is a lithe blue dragon. Lightning arcs around his horns and snout as he slumbers amid a scattered collection of coins and glittering jewels.
Tarak stealth 16. He slides passed Shayla, fixing the string to his bow and sliding a belt of fire bombs to the fore.
Aidron stealth 14 moves to the top of the stairs and waits to fly with Beans, Sparkrender would attack him instead of the small drake. Beware his lightning attack, fight from a distance if you can. I'll try to divert him from you. The bronze dragon whispers.
OOC Only half of the party needs to pass a stealth check for Sparkrender to continue sleeping, one more and you are good to go.
Sparkrender stirs and grudgingly wakes up. He notices some humans at the secret stairwell, more to the point he sees his enemy Aidron. Snarling he lets rip with a lightning bolt that lights up the whole area. Enough of this! This work is too important to be hindered by the likes of you!
Aidron flies directly at him and bites Sparkrender. to hit 17, damage 8.
Tarak draws his shortbow taking target at the dragons eye to hit 20, damage 6. Sparkrender screams as his eye is pierced by Taraks arrow.
"Raei's light shine on us!" Shayla casts BLESS on Theodor, Krack, and herself. Then rushes towards the Sparkrender "You stink like cat vomit!" and she takes up Patient Defense - all attacks against her are at disadvantage until her next turn.

Krack
"Oh do you see this Beans? Some ancient puzzle. Which one is next?" he asks, to no one in particular.
Theodor
"Perhaps they all need to be pointing to the sun?" he replies to Krack, with a shrug.
He moves to another statue and tries rotating it towards the sun.

Tarak shares a look with Krack at Beans, he too feels that it might be dangerous for the young drake.
Shayla crept up the stairs and then accidentally kicked a stone off to one side. She took a deep breath but the snoring continued.
Roll a stealth check as you reach the top of the stairs please.
Shayla
Cursing under her breath, she tries again to be quiet as a mouse...
