It was a month ago, maybe 40 days. Varnoth and I were talking about mason bees and the north column, she's going to repoint it and we are going to rehome the bees somewhere they will be less of a nuisance. A south westerly gale drew them into the dragon bone rocks not far from the Compass Rose. I saw them put down a lifeboat but the Harpy attacked them, most of the crew drowned. The lightning came out of nowhere striking the main mast and the ship sank. We've killed 35 zombies so far, there's likely to be move washing up. Did I leave anything out Varnoth?
Varnoth is female
You only missed the fact that the blue dragon had a hand in the lightning. The real problem is with the ship you see perched on the rocks, the one with the harpy in it. She said
Runara
I would recommend not taking on the blue dragon, at least not yet, you need some experience of the Island first. The sea caves that Tarak talked about seemed to be straightforward. I also have a request from the kobolds, there is a healing spring on the beach. It is a hot spring good for aches and pains and smaller wounds, and for that matter washing clothes in. Something has taken up residence there and Reitl believes it to be fume drakes. He was unable to frighten them off them by himself.
I'll only be checking in twice a day for a few days, my husband needed to go to hospital which is a 2 hr drive away. So with return trip thats 4 hours.
"I'm voting for helping the kobolds. They are our hosts and are quite delightful." Shayla shrugs "But if somebody is determined to do something else, I'm up for following the group. Unless it's the dragon. You can go try that and die by yourself."

Theodor if you want to deal with the octopus problem my map shows the entrance by sea to the cave and Tarak can give you a map of the colony. Just remember that the Myconids are very territorial, don't try to kill any of them or the whole colony will fight you. If one of you can talk to animals that would be the best way to pass the octopus and you could find out why they are taking measures to protect themselves.
Shayla, The hot spring on the other hand is high up on the beach above the high tide markings of seaweed go down the stairs and instead of turning right towards the tidal pool, turn left and walk near the cliff, you'll find a hot spring. It is big enough for eight people at once and heals minor wounds like a lesser healing potion. It marks the death place of a bronze dragon magically speaking and is a vary peaceful place. If you take water away with you, is loses its virtue.
As I said, you don't have enough experience to approach the blue dragon Sparkrender yet.
As he ears Veneer he states "It is going amazing, the drink is awesome. Rotten bread? I don't know, but tastes good with alchool." he says in Cant "Nothing yet. Just that people are to be trusted. Haven't seen any hidden rooms also."
"Damnnn look at that! You should teach me some day, I mostly stab and go" also in cants "Maybe we should check if they are hired much."
After that he looks back at the group and forgetting about what was going on he yells "Me and Venner are down to anything. Just make sure y'all don't suck like last time."
Theodor lets out a hearty laugh at Barakas quip, "Very fair, I'll try to pull my weight next time!" and raises his mug of mead in a salute.
Theodor turns to Runara to ask another question; "Of course, we wouldn't attack a peaceful Myconid colony."
He grabs Reitl's attention, "Reitl, my noble kobold friend, what can you tell me about these fume drakes? Are they intelligent? Are they aggressive and how do they attack?"
He smiles after hearing Theodor's answer and takes a big gulp.
As he hears Runara, he replies "Fine fine, I won't kill them right away." Turning back to group he says "Well, I can try to talk them out of this, if it doesn't work, they are tomorrow's feast" he stambles after that.
From what I know fume drakes are mischievous creatures that arise from the lingering magical energy of a dead dragon. They resemble small, legless dragons formed from clouds of greenish smoke. They delight in causing pain and confusion in other creatures. They are immune to fire and poison damage. Intelligence of a dog I'd say. Normally they are docile until you intrude on their territory, we had the spring to ourselves for the last 50 years so they have no just claim for rights. When they die they explode in a death burst causing a cloud of noxious fumes. They don't eat or sleep as far as I know. They also bite and have a scalding breath cone attack They speak Draconic so you might be able convince them to move on. They can fly short distances 30ft. When I was trying to get them to move they were peaceful until I touched the water, there are three of them.
You had all meant to start early, but the clerics were up before sunrise. An unearthly voice split the silence of twilight, the song, the Litany of Bahamut. It filled you with a sense of peace, and your stomachs rumbled as though you hadn't eaten last night.
The party looked around the Temple, Runara stood with her arms raised in a blessing on the new day, she was singing. Rix and Reitl moved around the Temple refilling the incense burners and a rich smell of cedar permeated the Temple. Kobolds jostled for the best sunrise view, but did so quietly, a few of them hummed along with the hymn.
You make your way down to the kitchen where you found Varnoth removing fresh bread from the oven. We take cooking in turns, I'm not as skilled as Tarak but I've had no complaints. She cheerfully said. She moved into the dining room with a steady gait considering she walked on a prosthetic. A bowl of fruit another round of sharp cheese, some hardboiled eggs, honey and butter. The porridge isn't ready yet, would you care to wait for it or not?
The incense and chanting are familiar to Theodor, the comparatively modest temple he trained at performed similar rituals. A bit embarrassed he wasn't awake before it started, Theodor gets up and begins his morning routine.
Theodor makes his way to the kitchen, fully kitted in his chain mail. Shield strapped on his back.
Theodor replies to Varnoth, "This all looks amazing, I don't think I've eaten this well... Ever. My thanks for the meal. I am happy to wait for the porridge, however I will see what the rest of the group want to do. May Bahamut's grace guide you"
Theodor says a prayer and eats.
