He grunted with a nod. He wasn't hoping for much when he asked, but he was thinking there might be some hope in knowing what they were going towards. Not that it really mattered to him, at least insofar as they didn't go about doing anything that would put others in danger he was quite alright staying in the dark. Everyone had their secrets and perhaps Gundren was coming out with some new venture that he didn't want anyone to know about. Still, he couldn't help but feel that there was something shady going on about the whole thing, but he put that at the back of his mind and hopped off the wagon, his eyes glancing over the scarred human. A bit of him shivered at the ghastly sight, but jobs like this drew in all sorts of people. Besides, Darthos only had to look in the mirror to see something wholly devilish.
"I guess we'll just find out when we meet him, then," he said, the tip of his tail lifting his waterskin towards his front. Grabbing it, he takes a quick swig. "Though, I got to say I am a bit more curious now. Why all the secrecy with this man? Maybe he's setting up some small shop that we might invest in, eh? Always want to keep that kinda thing secret." Then with a grin, he looks at Renvalm, "All the best you don't, horses might get a bit vexed with all that weight."
Wide eyed at the nimble leap performed by the elderly elf, Yuri drops his pace, not everything here was as it seemed. He glances up at the tiefling on the back of the cart, "Did you see that?". Yuri quickened his pace once again, carefully unloading his crossbow and placing the bolt back in the quiver strapped to his leg. As he neared the back of the cart, he tossed his crossbow up beside Darthos, then placing his hands on the rear of the cart, jumped and pulled himself up, settling in beside the tiefling.
Looking back along the road, Yuri picked up his crossbow once more, loading it in a practiced motion. "So, friend, what brought you to this venture?"
"Everyone is entitled to there secrets Darthos though I can't say I'm just a little bit curious myself. It maybe something that he wants to keep secret for security reasons. I would do the same in his place, you never now if the information will get to the wrong ears."

“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”
We are still waiting for the arrival of Morpetor Aloro (legoslost), wood elf wizard.
When you arrive, Morpetor, you were late to the departure point in Neverwinter and are currently playing catch up to the wagon and the others. (No negative effects on the game, just story plot, so don’t worry)
Once we get him in the game and some time to rp his story, we can move onto the next part. I have no problem with the game moving quickly as so, but there will be points I have work and such, so I may only be able to post a few times a day in the future. Some days a lot, some days not as much. I assume some players will be the same way. I haven’t forgotten about the game if i don’t get back to you right away. Also allow time during encounters for other players to catch up. This is a casual game and if players start to get rushed, most likely they drop out. I’ve seen it before. I’m sure you’d much rather wait half a day over losing a sword wielder or healer. Lol
She could see the look in Remvalm's eyes. They look just like the children's eyes. He's been hurt before, and not just in battle. I need to be extra nice to him. "Well if you're sure darling, then do you mind helping an old woman back up on the bench? You seem like the strong sort."
He turned to see Yuri get on the wagon, then watched as Gramgran asked if she could get some help on the wagon. "Aye, I saw," he said, his eyes narrowing on Gram. Something told him she could probably get back up all on her own. Shrugging it off, he turned back to Yuri, "Magic," he said in response to Yuri's question, "I want to get better at it and my old master told me the best way to go about that was traveling the world. Why not get a bit of gold on the way was my rationale so here I am." What he didn't tell Yuri was that he was also seeking to become something like the heroes in the stories, powerful wizards who could bend and shape the world to their will. But saying that felt foolish and so he kept it to himself, his fingers still idly tapping along the wooden boards of the wagon in some tuneless rhythm.
Out of respect, Kimberly reaches a hand over to Gramgran while keeping the horses on track with the others.
Kim - "I may look small andfragilebut I promiseyou I am not. So I can help you up as well. If there were a rule book to life it would first state to take care of the person that can heal you, followed by help your elders as they made it this long for a reason and you can surely learn something from them. You fit bothcategories, so I won't leave you hanging."
This woman knows what she is doing. I saw her easily jump out of the wagon, with no effort. She can no doubt make it back up on her own, but I'll act like I don't see the ruse. Is she trying to hide her true self like me, or is she trying to make others feel needed? Either way, she sure is smart. Maybe I can learn something from her.
Hearing Gramgran ask for help getting into the wagon sounded a little suspicious to Reanvalm after seeing her get off the quite easily before. Not wanting to make a scene by refusing and have the others get suspicious of him he decided to play along. It couldn't hurt to help her and he may be able to get some information out of her.
"Don't worry, I'll help her Kimberly , and Gramgran I must say thank you for being concerned about me but I'm ok with walking."

"Oh no dear, it's just that you seem like the kind of growing boy that needs his rest. And we've been traveling for a while now. Thank you for helping me up Renvalm, such a kind boy." She pats him on the cheek in a grandmotherly way, and sits down beside Kim. "Thank you for offering to help Kim." She places a hand on Kim's and looks at her kindly. "We gals have to stick together don't we?" She laughs, and it sounds full of joy.
Yuri raises an eyebrow at Darthos' answer. "My father knows something of that," he replied. Turning his head to better look at his companion at the rear of the cart.
"Though he tried to pass on his gifts, I never showed any aptitude as a student." Yuri shook his head. "I was always more interested in what lay outside of the shop and the town." Yuri shook his head again, chucking this time, "Which I would think is what brought me here." Returning his gaze to the road stretching away from the cart, his eyes begin to scan the horizon for anyone following the cart.
"So, I know we have been traveling for a little while. I can freeze my water to make an ice sickle and we can split it into pieces, if anyone is interested."
He chuckled, "Believe me," he said with a wide grin as he leaned back and spread his arms along the railings of the cart, "It's tireless work trying to be a half-decent wizard and here I am aiming for some grand goal. Sometimes I wish I'd never heard of magic, but I suppose great power deserves some form of sacrifice, right?" He looked up then at Boren who was still gliding almost lazily above them. Narrowing his eyes he raised his hand and set off a small arch of sparks to catch his attention and watched as a few moments later the hawk angled sideways as it began gliding downwards behind the wagon and arch, then turned to fly straight towards him and landed on the cart's railings.
Yuri nodded. "Nothing worth having comes easily, friend." His eyes follow the hawk to it's perch on the cart. Turning his body to view the elderly elf and human girl at front of the cart Yuri raised his hand "I would enjoy some ice, miss" and then glancing between Kimberley and Darthos and smiling and adding "And I am sure my friend here will have much to discuss with another magic user."
Kim starts grabbing her waterskin and replies, "Well, sadly, Im not sure if I can share many ideas with Darthos. While it was a good idea Yuri, I don't use magic in the same way. My powers are more natural. They come through my bloodline. Somewhere in my history is a dragon, but that was a long time ago." She pours the water out of the waterskin and then cast Shape water to form a long spearlike shape of water then, freezes it. While casting the shape water cantrip, the emerald she wears around her neck glows very bright along with her hazel eyes. She slowly grabs it, then ask someone to cut it into the different pieces for each person to have a small cold treat.
He looked back at Kim and saw the way she was shaping the water, an eyebrow raising at the spectacle. "Aye, it seems like it works differently for the both us," he said, "I have to slave away at books and understand the theory and intricacies behind each spell. Whereas other spellcasters... they just seem to know it, or at least have less of a difficult time of learning it, not that I'm complaining or anything. Gives me a bit of satisfaction once I've finally cracked the code of a spell, a sort of euphoric feeling. You could say it's why I'm out here in part... seeking that high, if you know what I mean." He grinned again, waving a hand at the ice pick and casting the prestidigitation cantrip to give it some flavour for anyone willing to take it.
Yuri shrugged his shoulders. "Miss. I meant no offense. I simply..." Yuri trailed off, narrowing his eyes as if trying to remember his lessons. "I just mean, that surely the weave is the weave." He points a hand at Darthos' tome. "The methods differ, but the results are similar, no?"
As the cart rounds a bend in the road, and in one moment, this patchwork group of beings is blinded by the sun reflecting on what appears to be long silvery hair set on a face that seems both stern and kind at the same time. Morpetor's eyes seem greener than anything in nature. Noticing his traveling party's stunned response to his appearance, he quickly covers his head with the hood of his cloak. In so doing, he is almost undetectable due to the natural tones of his robes and coverings. He is tall, but seems more approachable as he leans against his staff waiting for this new adventure to begin.

You’re off the beaten path now, as opposed to the main road along the coast. The only thing around you is nature and animals.
Darthos squinted at the sudden glare as a figure stepped into view, walking towards them. The glare vanishing once the male-looking figure put on his hood causing Darthos to sit straighter, an eyebrow raising. "Ho there, friend," he said somewhat cautiously raising a hand, the hood over the figure was giving him some disquiet as he approached closer to the cart.
OOC- did the party know that Morpetor was part of the caravan guards?
