(OOC: I was thinking of casting this spell at level 3 to benefit two party members. I thought that with the benefit of Enhance Ability, someone might be able to [action]hide[/hide] well enough for The Hunter not to notice and to pass them in the hallway so that we can try to block off his retreat. If we cannot find a larger space ahead, does else anyone want to try that? Our three most stealthy members are Adams, Eppie, and Simon. Casting at Level 3, Erik can give "Cat's Grace" to two people at once.)
Simon will take the left tunnel and will want the enhanced abilities to dex.
The crystals around the wrists of the gauntlets of his plate armor glow like they did when he fired lightning at the undead abomination in the courtyard. Only this time, Erik squats down and does something with Simon's boots. He stands up and says, "You're all set. That should give you a cushion of air under your feet for a bit. It'll help you move quietly and also help slow you down if there's a sudden fall. Just scout ahead a bit and come back to let us know whether you found a larger space where we could set an ambush."
Does anyone want to scout the other tunnel at the same time? Or we just wait for Simon to get back? And, while Simon is scouting ahead, who's keeping watch back the way we came to keep a look out for The Hunter?
Action: Cast spell (LVL 2 slot, or LVL 3 slot if someone else wants it, too) Enhance Ability, granting Cat's Grace to Simon
(I love that you gave cat's grace to the very human-looking Tabaxi) Simon will move quickly and quietly into the left hallway and will look for any traps and big rooms.
Simon sneaks down the tunnel silently, stopping to listen occasionally.
Simon:
As you get further down the hallway, you can hear something. No, that isn't quite right... it's almost more like you FEEL something. Vibrations in the walls and floor. It feels faint and distant, but it feels almost like a there is some kind of huge machine somewhere further down the tunnel. It's too far away to say much more than that.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
"I'll scout the other tunnel," Eppie says, or rather thinks, to the group. "Watch Vox IV for me." Adjusting her goggles as she hops off of her robotic machine, she'll take Erik's enhancement if he offers it, and stoically slip down the other tunnel, her outline blurring and wavering as she disappears from sight.

Simon will communicate through their minds, "There is a huge machine this way which is probably dangerous for us."

Erik replies to the group, thinking "You should both scout ahead at least 100 ft. That's still in range for us to come to your aid if you run into trouble. If you don't see a wider spot or room ahead, we may have to confront The Hunter here at the fork. I don't want to wait for him to herd us into some trap...especially if The Brute is still down here."
Eppie follows along the tunnel for the hundred feet, to see if the tunnel widens at any point.
You eventually come to another fork in the path. One of the tunnels continues in the same direction that you were already going, the second is an offshoot that looks like it probably goes deeper underground.

"Are we scouting or not?"
(OOC: Sure. That works for Erik:
Just let Erik know if you want him to cast Enhance Ability or Invisibility first. Not sure whether to do that now or save it for later.)
It sounds like at least Simon is scouting ahead... which pathway is he taking?

Eppie thinks back to the group... "Nothing on this side. The tunnel forks again, but it doesn't get wider."
Can I keep going down the hall with my checks.
