Khessa ponders before answering Elias's pertinent and well-considered questions. "I had proposed an owl with the idea of luring the Imp back and eliminating it... I thought that if the Imp saw the same owl again, it would recognize it - and try to kill it again. And if we were ready, we could kill the Imp when it became visible, after its attack".
"But you were right, Elias, to remind me that with each ritual you can change the form of your familiar" the blonde arcane warrior seems excited by an idea. "Come to think of it, perhaps the form that could be most useful to us is that of a bat... A bat can also see invisible creatures, within a certain radius. If you keep it with you and instruct it to reveal the presence of the Imp to you, giving you a rough indication of where it is... something like '10 feet to your right, at the height of your head' for example... We could know in advance when the Imp is approaching us and attack it by surprise".
"As for the rest," the tall adventuress sighs "even though we are a bit spent, I would prefer to just take a breather"[[ OOC: So yes, Khessa proposes a Short Rest ]]"and immediately return to the Cultists base. We left a mess down there, since we had to leave quickly to save Klima... I would prefer to make the bodies of the dead disappear (even if we just move them to an alley not far away), clean the traces of blood (with magic it should be a matter of a moment) and immediately return to the base, hoping that no one has noticed anything - or at least that the Cultists may have suspicions (noting that someone is missing) but no certainties (not finding the bodies) and therefore take a long time to organize - giving us time to swoop down on them and eliminate them".
While waiting for Elias to summon his Familiar (either in the form of a Bat or whatever he thinks best), Khessa does her best to give herself that little bit of rest that allows her to recover precious physical and mental resources.
[[ OOC: Shor Rest taken. Regained Second Wind and, thanks to Arcane Recovery, a 1st level spell slot. Khessa also spends a HD to recover HP. ]]

Elias thinks for a minute, A bat, that might work. They have this type of blindsight that might be useful. I'll have to run and pickup spell components then maybe ten minutes to cast the spell. With it being morning already the shops should be open, if not by now then very soon. I was wondering about the bodies that would be found this morning as the bath house opens. Well, I guess I should get going if we're going back in this morning. It might be a good idea to work on a plan for entering the secret passage during business hours. I'm not sure they'll let us just waltz our way in and besides, I never was good at dancing.
Elias enters his room to gather some items for the trip to the magic shop, then steps back out into the main room. You know, with the dynamic of our little group suddenly shifted, it might be better if you three ladies take the big room here and Atlas and I the smaller one. There's plenty of room for the three of you and the door has a good lock.
He returns to his room, for now, slings a book bag over his shoulder, grabs spell book #1 from the looted books and stows it in the bag. He'll pause in the main gaming room, anyone wanna tag along? Thought I'd try Sorcerous Sundries for starters. They should have everything.
"My hope is that we can get there before opening time and get rid of the bodies..." Khessa sighs "But if we get there late and the bodies have already been found, it's not like the Bath House employees will want to stop a Flaming Fist operation, I imagine! We'll leverage our position, this time".
At the offer of 'tag along', the blonde arcane warrior's blue eyes take on a vaguely melancholic look: "I'd love to, but I need to prepare for our second visit to the Cultists".
"No thank you. I will whittle a pendant that reminds me of my goddess, Chauntea, the Earthmother." Rosebud sits in a corner with her small knife and gouge from her Woodcarver's Kit and fiddles with a wooden disk. She slowly intricately carves the image of a full rose in bloom on a lush stem with wheat grains in the background. Her eyes are slightly crossed as she concentrates, and her tongue periodically escapes her mouth. She conscientiously collects the wood shavings in to a small pile so she doesn't make a mess in the tavern.
Mistynip places he hand on Reya's shoulder after she speaks and whispers a blessing from Helm. You know sister, our Gods are brothers of sorts and Torm's battles are also Helm's to take up. I will aid you in any way I can to help find our High Overseer.
She hears bits of the exchange between the blonde warrioress and the young wizard, smiles to herself, young? Not very much younger than herself at only 18 summers. If she heard right the group is planning to visit this bath house again later this morning, a daylight raid on the hideout of an evil cult...this should be interesting, Helm be with us. Hearing the wizard, Elias she recalls, ask if any wish to go with him she finds herself standing and before she can stop herself, Yes, I'll go. Looking around at the others she quickly follows up with, you might need someone to watch your back if these cultists have friends that run in the light of day. She picks up her shield, strapping it to her back, places her pack in the larger room Elias just offered. and follows him down the stairs. I hope you know where we're headed, I have yet to get my bearings in this town.
Elias blushes some at her addressing him directly, ye, yea, yes he finally manages to get the word out. As they make their way through the inn and out the front door, yes I do, a visit to this very shop was my whole reason for being in town. As they a corner he stops suddenly and looks at her, my sincere apologies lady Mistynip, we haven't been properly introduced. I am Elias Starlight wizard apprentice of master Orbos, house wizard of the noble house of Silversword of Waterdeep. he bows slightly. Misty gets the impression that he is more at home in the comforts offered by noble living than life under the stars.
((OOC for the sake of speeding things along, we'll head to the shop and pick up the supplies then head back. Unless you have an encounter planned for our trip))
REYA will look at MISTYNIPand simply says, "Thank you." She then adds, "I am pleased that you are coming with us. I fear though, that your services will be gravely needed."
A little later, ELIASand MISTYNIPhead to the Sorcerous Sundries.
When ELIASand MISTYNIP arrive at the Sorcerous Sundries, it is closed. But as luck would have it, the proprietor shows up moments later, "Early risers. In need of a Healing Potion?
(No encounter planned other than Sorcerous Sundries. The proprietor is there for you to deal with.)
excellent, we'll get the components I need for the spell and will stock up on some of the more mundane components while here; soot, salt, small vial of mercury, tri colored sand, etc...figure maybe 12 go for all of it. Then head back to the inn. Making small talk with Misty as we walk, how we both came to where and what we are.
In our talk she learns that Elias, although accustomed to the comforts of life within a nobles house, he us not afforded the privilege that comes with it. Serving a hard and cold master, but nevertheless Elias seems happy with his loot in life, and can't wait to get back to it.
Once back Elias will move his gear to the smaller bed room, set things up and cast the spell. Misty is more than welcome to stay and watch, or rest, it'll take about an hour.
Before heading upstairs Elias will swing by the bar and settle up with Alan for two more nights in each room.
He'll head up stairs, looking around. Nod to Rosebud in the corner, Khessa and Atlas resting? he'll ask trying to keep his voice low as not to wake anyone up.
“I haven’t seen Khessa recently. She must be still reading that book. By the way, one of these days, could you teach me how to open them? I always seem to open them upside down. And as for Atlas, well, two people came in. They whispered in each of his ears. One was wearing a white robe, the other a black one. Atlas stood up when they were done and said to me, ‘I have some business to take care of. I’ll be back when I can.’ He then departed with the two following behind him. He had a determined look on his face and appeared in control of the situation so I didn’t ask more and just said, ‘best wishes.’
Before heading upstairs Elias will swing by the bar and settle up with Alan for two more nights in each room.
ALAN will look at the young Wizard, "I will not charge you for the extra room as an honored guest of the Elf that sings. Two gold pieces for both per night.
(I am thinking that would make it through the morning of Day Five.)
So, if both the Short Rest, the shopping, and the summoning of Percy are completed, Khessa is ready to return as quickly as possible to the Bath House (the unsuspecting place where, via a secret passage, the Cultists' base can be accessed).
Rosebud finishes her carving. She flips it to Alan behind the bar as she takes her pile of shavings to dump outside. She takes the opportunity to rub Burro under the chin (its favorite spot for attention) and talk quietly to it before returning inside. "I'm ready for another sleepless and busy night."

Alan deftly catches ROSEBUD’s carving. He nods in approval and find a place for it on the wall behind the bar.
