lady Rosaline, if you wouldn't mind entertaining me for a moment, can you describe what these thieves tools look like? as she does I picture them in my head, casting prestidigitation to create one of the tools, casting again to create the other. try these but be quick, they won't last long.
Well... Khessa then lowers a rope from the top of the wall, inviting her teammates. Each time someone grabs the rope, she pulls them up, then lowers them down the other side.
[[ OOC: That way, they shouldn't need to roll for climbing, right? ]]
Finally, the blonde arcane warrior comes down herself.
[[ That way, we can all go inside, beyond the walls, right? ]]
"Very well, we've gained access to the garden" Khessa murmurs, pleased that the party has managed to sneak in not one but two different ways. "The Cultists' sentries will probably be waiting for us inside the Bath House itself - where we'll need to go in to continue along the secret passage".
"But just to be safe... Rosaline, are you comfortable with sneaking around the garden?" the blonde arcane warrior proposes "We'll follow you at a distance, staying behind the bushes... If you sense any danger, just wave to us or run towards us. What do you say?"
"When it comes to entering the Bath House, I will go first, instead..." the tall adventuress muses aloud "I don't think anyone would be capable of sneaking while opening the only door to a room, anyway".
Cleo's not seeing the imp, so we may be in luck. Elias will follow along with the group. He'll look over at Misty looking a little out of sorts, honestly we don't usually to this breaking and entering thing. Honest.
Rosaline nods in response to Khessa's question, though she does not speak herself (as she is feeling a bit paranoid at the possibility of an invisible devil hiding somewhere nearby). She begins sneaking across the garden as Khessa suggested.
Stealth: 17 (rolled in game log because the forum roller gave me one of those annoying error messages)
ROSALINE will sneak up. The double doors to the Bathhouse are open. The Barbarian Rogue sees a man mopping the floor. Three bodies lie nearby on the blue marbled floor.
(Interior description for MISTYNIP and ROSALINE from the Adventure.)
The walls of this twenty-foot-high pillared chamber are adorned with frescoes of bathing royalty. Natural light streams through stained-glass windows, creating colorful patterns on the tiles of polished blue marble that cover the floor. Three shallow, sunken pools contain scintillating perfume-scented water. White marble benches bearing stacks of dry towels are situated near the pools, each of which comes equipped with a pair of brass faucets.
Elias keeping his voice down, well, they dress in black, deadly looking. Oh, and the spell casters among them dress like beggars and carry flails with human skulls at the end. So yeah, kind of hard to miss. As he finishes he checks in with Cleo again, anything on your radar?
Rosebud trots into the garden after the others. The bushes remain flowerless so she went to the fountain in the corner. She scrambles up using the slight indentation to the stone basin Once on top, she dips her hand in the fountain and splashes a bit of water on her face. The water is cool and a droplet or two hang on her eyelashes. She hops down and land somewhat ungracefully on the balls of both feet, one fist the ground and the other hand held behind her. The finished result sort of approximates the letter A.
If Khessa is told the situation, she enters the Bath House openly and, staring at the man with her serious and determined blue eyes, asks: "What's going on here?"
The blonde arcane warrior doesn't know whether the man is an unsuspecting (and unwilling to ask questions) employee who has simply been asked to clean, or a collaborator of the Cultists who is helping them to cover up their presence and hopes to form an opinion based on his reactions.
When KHESSA enters the Bathhouse, the man mopping the floor is a little startled and somewhat out of sorts, "I am sorry, but we are closed. We may be able to open by afternoon."
It is like he suddenly realizes something, "The gate is locked. How did you get in?"
And then it is like he put two and two together, "You had something to do with this. Who are you?"
And then he repeats your question, "What's going on here?"
Athletics: 9 or 10 w/advantage from Khessa's help... the raven-haired woman mutters something about being out of practice.
Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?

KHESSA is able to climb over the wall.
Mistynip watches as Kheesa goes over the wall. Prays to Helm. oh mighty Helm, please protect the mighty warrior Kheesa

Rosaline thanks Elias, even if the witchcraft does make her a bit uncomfortable, and tries to unlock the gate for an easy retreat if things get dicy.

As some are going over the wall, ELIAS magically creates some Theive’s Tools. ROSALINE picks the lock and goes through the gate.
(OOC - Gotta love the chaos of PBP. And yes, everyone gets beyond the wall.)
BTW, the Bat doesn’t detect anything.

Elias nods to Misty, welp, here goes and he moves across to the wall and behind a bush. ((map updated))
Mistynip follows closely behind Elias, whispering to him, do you see anything? What do these cultists look like?

(Nothing on Cleo’bat’ra’s radar.)
