IĂłlinder held out his arm to stop Zarbyn and Lev from passing. 'Let's see how this play out.'He told them. 'I think the kobolds' numbers advantage is going to win out eventually but even so they'll be in a weakened position. Makes it easier for us to charge them from both flanks.'
He gave a meaningful nod to the pyramid. 'I also don't trust... whatever that is. Most likely some sort of defence measure but it seems to be running out of charges. Well, less kobolds and less danger for us then.'
The two Kobold Sorcerers both hit the creature with spells, and it topples over, making a large splash. The pyramid stops shooting lightning.
You hear what sounds like cheering from the survivors. They jump into the water and begin swimming toward the pyramid. Lev, Amdaeng, and Zarbyn can go (Move tokens in Owlbear or let me know what your character does for movement.) At this point, the humans are having a difficult time seeing enemies, especially from this range.
Amdaeng counted the kobolds before they moved too far away for her eyes, " Those that can see in the dark to lead and we let the little ones find all the traps? Can we all swim?"
Once Lev and the other two have made their way back to the group Lev nods along with Amdaeng. If they can avoid conflict that would be best, and if they can use this to their advantage that would be best. However, they should make sure that they take out these lizards before they are given time to recover.
Amdaeng is going after the kobolds, giving them as much lead time as possible....but not too much...she can't see too well so will need leading on the way over...
You hear the surviving Kobolds jump into the water. They are likely headed toward the pyramid. (Does Amdaeng and Vydar jump in and head toward the pyramid, or around the base of the crater?)
"Can you help guide me closer to the kobolds? We shouldn't have that much of a problem with what's left."
Zarbyn allows himself to be guided closer to the kobolds.
(ooc: Zarbyn will spend the first round getting closer, movement and actions etc.)

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Your groups jumps into the water and starts to move in the water toward the pyramid. To your surprise, the water is only about 6 feet deep. You remember the rock guardian was standing in the water.
The Kobolds seem unaware or unconcerned about your presence as they swim toward the structure. Those without dark vision can see the huge structure in the light of the moon and stars. The water is cold but tolerable.
Vydar nods to Amdaeng, that was exactly what he was thinking. He likes how she thinks. Taking the lead as he knows he has the best darkvision, he follows the scurrying kobolds into the somewhat cold water as quietly as he can.
The water is cold but not unbearable. You are surprised that it is about 6-10 feet deep. The water is clean and clear, undoubtedly from snow and ice melt.
Vydar sees a few things. The pyramid is a series of stone steps going up to the tip, some 60 feet high. He sees no obvious entrance on this side. Some small fish swim in the water.
All three groups eventually make it to land. The pyramid was built from the base of the lake up and the first few steps are covered in water.
To the east is Lev, Zarbyn, and IĂłlinder
To the west is Amdaeng and Vydar, with Paevira on the shore with her crossbow drawn.
To the south you assume are 3 kobolds, 2 casters, and one leader.
You see no obvious entrances and so far, it does not seem the Kobolds are aware of your presence, although they will be soon and you assume they have dark vision.
"I have a theory...on how we are supposed to get in. I hope I'm wrong."He says as Paevira retreats to a vantage point away from the water. He turns his red gaze to the gently lapping water. "The door could be hidden below the water."
"The Kobolds are going up." He says to Amdeang, "I'll be right back. Don't move, I'm just going to take a look underwater real quick. Uh, can you hold this for me?"
He takes off his satchel containing his spellbook and holds it out to the rogue. If she takes it, he nods then takes a breath and quietly lowers himself into the water. He swims down only far enough to get a look at the base of the pyramid.
Zarbyn whispers, "What now? Should we try and get closer, maybe signal the others somehow?" squinting, even though this won't help in the dark, Zarbyn tries to discern where the entrance would be located. "How are we supposed to get in?"

Amdaeng slipped quietly into the water so as not to alert the kobolds and followed Vydar...

Dodge.
Vydar eyes the pyramid and watches for Kobolds.

(How deep is it before the steps begin?)
(Two steps below water, six above to the top, each step 5 feet, , those with dark vision could look underwater or keep watch on the kobolds)
vydar sees movement, some of the kobolds are heading up a level, then another.
"The Kobolds are going up." He says to Amdeang, "I'll be right back. Don't move, I'm just going to take a look underwater real quick. Uh, can you hold this for me?"
