With the help of Iólinder's power, Lev's glaive is able to lift the door enough that he and Iólinder hear the hinges break off from age and rust. (1/2 move next round to open the door inward toward Lev and Iólinder.
Amdaeng's punch hits the "arm" pulling Zarbyn toward the water. She feels the impact, but the watery form seems to be resistant to the punch (1/2 damage).
Zarbyn is grappled and being pulled toward the water. (Escape: DC13)
-------->Back to the top of the order but everyone can state an action, need a DC save from Zarbyn: Lev, Zarbyn, Iólinder, Lira, Vydar, Water creature, Amdaeng
Hearing the hinges break, Lira will move north a bit to get out of the way of the door. She aims at the water monster and attempts to use the magic from her amulet. It is water, so perhaps will be susceptible to freezing.
Vydar’s head snaps back towards the door as he hears it lock itself. He hadn’t noticed any traps, and the hat hadn’t warned him…does that mean the ghost closed that? He spins back towards the water as the creature rises from its depths.
When Zarbyn puts on the gauntlets, he says. “I’m pretty sure they have some kind of magical properties based on the decay of that body. If they don’t work for you give them to Amdaeng.”
Raising his hands, he casts Magic Missile on the creature.
Damage: 2, 4, 2
Round 2
Vydar grits his teeth when Zarbyn is grappled…though part of him is grateful that for one he isn’t the one in trouble for once. Right now it’s his turn to be the hero rather than the victim…if his attacks can land that is.
He casts Fire Bolt: 9 to hit (Doubt that hits but here’s the damage just in case: 8)
Vydars 3 magical missiles all hit the water creature, and it seems it is susceptible to the attack, taking 8 damage. The Firebolt misses the aqueous target.
"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Zarbyn just finishes donning the gauntlets when he is grappled by the... water. All those months aboard the Twice Shy and he never once fell overboard or had any fear of drowning, and now here he was in a tug-of-war for his life with... water. If it wasn't happening to him he would be hard pressed to believe it.

As the water creature gets hit by the magic missiles and tries to avoid the magical ice, Zarbyn is able to escape its grasp. He falls to the floor near the edge of the pool.
Its hold on Zarbyn broken, the watery arm flows back into the main body of the creature. Another "arm" lashes out toward Amdaeng, but she is able to dodge its attack.
Lev gets the door open and rushes in, expecting some sort of "normal hand-to-hand opponent. He is caught off guard by the strange water creature. Can you attack water with a blade? His thoughts about this and the strange opponent causes his glaive to go right through its body, causing no damage on his first attack.
Iólinder wasted no time running after Lev when the darker skinned elf pushed through the door. From the sounds he figured the others were fighting something or someone but he was not prepared to hear the words
It was the sort of thing one would not expect. Nonetheless that was what it was. A tendril composed of water rose up from a large pool and was battering away at the group, seemingly trying to grab and pull them into the water. It begged the question: how would one fight water?
Iólinder was not sure but he ought to try something. He raised up his hand in a similar gesture back when they were fighting the spider-lobster creature. Only this time instead of crackling black tendrils forming between his fingers, a warm, almost sunlike glow pulsed in his palm. This one would not need to touch to inflict pain. Iólinder threw the pulsating orb of light at the water tendril in the same manner one would skip a rock across a lake, hoping it would have some effect.
Following alongside the ball of light was a ball of black fuzz. Zazi flew in the light trail and sqeaked, nearly screeched loudly above the creature (?)
Iólinder: - Move: see owlbear - Action: cast Guiding Bolt Attack roll: 9 + 10 (channel divinity because we all roll like crap...) = 19 Damage roll: 14
The powerful spell seems to take out a large "chunk" of the creature, the water falling into the pool. (It has certainly been damaged, but it still attacks)
-------->Amdaeng, then back to the top (Round 3) with Lev, Zarbyn, Iólinder, Lira, and Vydar. (Each can declare your next action if you wish)
Lira's frustration with being unable to aim the amulet's magic effectively nearly makes her give up on using it altogether, but seeing how effective Iólinder's spell is makes her try one more time.
Action: ray of frost on water monster to hit dirty 20!!! for 7 cold damage
Lev wedges the blade of his glaive between the door and the doorframe, hoping to use leverage to get the blasted door open.
Athletics: 8 (the dice... they hate me...)
4
Amdaeng moved up to the others and stationed herself at their backs waiting for an attack she could not see coming.
Held Action- Attack: 25 Damage: 13

Its hold on Zarbyn broken, the watery arm flows back into the main body of the creature. Another "arm" lashes out toward Amdaeng, but she is able to dodge its attack.
Lev pushes the door open and rushes into the fray. Looks like Zarbyn narrowly avoided trouble, good thing more of them hadn’t been locked out.
He moves to whatever section of the monster he can reach, and attacks with his glaive.
Attack… (cough, ugh… that’s a 5 to hit) …12 damage?
Lev gets the door open and rushes in, expecting some sort of "normal hand-to-hand opponent. He is caught off guard by the strange water creature. Can you attack water with a blade? His thoughts about this and the strange opponent causes his glaive to go right through its body, causing no damage on his first attack.
Zarbyn
Zarbyn is not sure why but it seemed easier than expected to break out of the water creature's grasp.
