Looking to start a Norse Mythology based campagain, would anyone be interested? Will be play by post. Will accept four players that make a balanced party. I have a homebrew Half-Giant race if anyone is interested, just ask. I have four pre-made characters, Half-giant barbarian, Human ranger, elf druid, and dwarf wizard. These characters will be given first come first serve.
Asgrim was born into a military family, his father and grandfathers had all been soldiers, his mother was a shieldmaiden with enough scars on her body to bring shame to men. His older brothers and sisters were warriors, the eldest fighting for the glory of the gods while the others raided and pillaged. In this family of his, while he was growing play-fights and spars were all too common. His father would train them when he wasn't in battle or in a raid in simple foot work and combinations. And the lust for battle slowly grew within him.
Soon, he was of age and was given an armband and drafted into service. His first few raids were wild successes, the cries of battle and the screams as he cut down his enemies drove him further into his lust for war. It got to a point where he was trying to join each and every raid he could until he got his first injury. A savage cut down across one eye and although it didn't blind him, the cut was deep and after the battle he waved off any sort of help the healers offered in a show of bravado. The next day, he was sick in bed, the wound infected and beginning to postulate, and although the healers tried to do everything they could, they told him because of the infection, they had to remove his eye if he was to live. He disagreed at first, stubbornly stating that he would rather die than lose a part of himself, but a few days later the sickness grew worse and he was quickly fading from the fever.
However the commander of the raiding party commanded the eye be removed and when Asgrim came through, he realized he couldn't "feel" his left eye and soon realized it was removed. The commander sent him back to his home telling him his raiding was over due to his injury. Shamed and angry at the fate the gods had thrown on him, he chose to spit back in their faces and show them that nothing could stop him from becoming a great warrior, from becoming a sung hero whose name was praised in every house. Several years later, he returned to the jarl demanding he go on a raid and that he would fight his greatest champion if he must prove himself. The jarl instead told him that because of his family's renown, he wouldn't dishonour their name by letting him in unless he proved himself worthy; when Asgrim asked how he could prove himself, the jarl told him he must bring back the head of a dragon, then and only then would he be accepted back as a warrior.
Leif Siegfred grew up hearing exploits from his grandfather when he was a minstrel. From serpent slaying to competitive fishmongering, Leif consistently asks his grandfather for stories until he's past asleep.
Leif then started training with his help as he felt being a minstrel was part of his calling. Even though hesitant on teaching his former trade, his grandfather eventually gave up because of his exuberant attitude.
By the time Leif finished his studies, his grandfather told him the reason why he grew up without parents. His parents were part of an expedition in search of an ancient collection of texts, containing sagas long forgotten by history.
From the tales of forgotten gods to the epic heroes who rose against the tyrannical giants of ancient times, these collection of texts was considered the greatest treasure of mankind to its predessors.
Till this day, they are still searching for it. Feeling that death is near, his grandfather requested Leif to find his parents to see them for the last time.

Would it be alright if I made a human fighter?

In. You're in. I'm speechless.
Okay, we have a fighter and a ranger. Please keep this in mind for future character creation and party balance
Lol! Thanks! I'm glad you liked my character. So, do I roll for stats or is it point-buy?
DM - GA's Baldur's Gate
point buy
I’m interested. Would I need to create a character using these tools or can I host my sheet elsewhere?
Pie
umm... if there is a way I can look at your sheet, I'm fine with it
Cool. I have a character concept I’ve been wanting to try out. A ranged warlock hexblade spy. Is that something that would work in a Norse setting?
Yeah
Awesome. Let me write up the first level. I don’t have a background for him yet, but I’ll come up with something.
I would like to submit a sea elf bard as a character concept if possible.
Sent you a PM with a Goliath Cleric concept!
Go ahead! You're in!
Sent you a pm with character details.
