Vanizi frowns at the news of the family 'not resting right.'  "Guess we will just have to be cautious," she says. To Newmy she says, "Thank you for your help." She doesn't really comment on Davis' remark. 'If she's happy as she is, why push her?' she thinks. 'She's clearly fulfilling what she feels is her obligation.' 

Newmy waves and smiles as she moves away to clean the rest of the area. "It has been a long while since I've seen anyone down here...I tend to lose track of time. Maybe my contract is over. I'll have to think about it. Oh well, bye for now - good luck!"

No problem, just thought maybe she would want to move on, her choice! :)

Zyl votes for the north door! But she feels really uneasy about all of this, even if it was nice-ish ghost.

Davis is happy to get away from the friendly ghost. 

He will check out the north door, as Zyl recommends.

Vanizi is happy to follow the others towards the north door. "If this is our way back, then guess we're just going to have to see what these 'not resting well' spirits are up to." 

The door to the north opens to a 10' long set of stairs leading deeper into the earth. At the bottom is a 25'x30' room with another opening on SE wall. (Map) There are two stone coffins in this room, both broken open and littering the floor with rubble and dust. A creature with too many arms and spikes in place of hands taps at the room’s northern wall. (Everyone make a Stealth check to see if you attract its attention! If the group average is above the creature's passive perception, it does not notice you.)

The four of you manage to avoid attracting the creature's attention (although the fairy barbarian must have been kicking at stones or something! =) Do you want to back up quietly and avoid the thing, engage it in conversation, engage it in combat, try to sneak through the room to the other passage to the east, or something else? 

I vote for checking out the southern door, since this room has another door heading south, could be they link up and we can leave this creature alone. But I'm fine with other options if someone has a preference!

"Let's check out the other room," Vesta whispers, her voice barely audible so as not to attract the creature's attention.

We back up and check the door to the south. Davis will wave at the ghost if she is still around.

Perception: 15

Seeing the others backing up to try the other door, Vanizi does the same. 

Zyl claps a hand softly over her mouth and slowly backs up with everyone else looking a tiny bit embarrassed.
