Halila and Sizzle would likely catch a glimpse of Esta already hanging around the main casino floor as they met at the cages, where smartly dressed imps waited behind the bars for customers. When asked, the imps would give each person a small black silk pouch with some tokens inside. They will explain, since you all are new, that these are razorleafs—or simply a “razor”— they look like a gold-hued token inscribed with stylized razorvines. Each razorleaf is worth 10 gp, and there are 15 of them in the bag and are the only currency used for gambling in the casino. You are, of course, welcome to purchase or cash out anytime.
While you are standing in line at the cages, a hulking looking oni comes over and introduces themselves as Vez, apologizing curtly for missing your initial entrance, but mentions Shemeshka ordered him to greet you all and make sure you've been taken care of. He seems to be a fairly simple minded person though, your perhaps typical door bouncer, but otherwise seems agreeable enough.
Halila takes just a moment to watch Esta, just seeing what she is up to. But soon she is at the cages, arriving about the same time as Sizzle. She takes a moment to examine the black silk pouch and the "razors" inside. She takes one out and examines it a moment. "Each one is 10 gp?" she asks, seeming amazed by the amount - about having 15 of them!
When the oni comes over, she introduces herself. "I'm Halila, but you probably already knew that," she says with a grin. "Shemeshka had you greet all of us? How did she even know we were going to be coming? The tokens, the rooms - it's all quite generous. Pardon my skepticism, but usually such things come at a price, but you've just given them to us. What's the catch?"
Halila sighs as Vez basically doesn't answer. But she'd expected nothing else. "Well, perhaps you can at least tell me how to make use of these tokens? I'm a bit new to this sort of place." It's true she hadn't really been to any casino as fancy as this. But she certainly got the gist of the gambling that must occur here. She hoped perhaps they had some sort of card games. But she figured she had time to work on locating such a thing.
Vez gave Halila a stiff smile and nodded. "I can do that. Razorleaves are the currency used here in the casino. You offer them to play a game, or insert into a machine to play. We have slot machines over there," He gestured back toward the main area, "they take one razorleaf to spin and play. Over there are the table games," He pointed to a different spot all easy enough to see. "We offer three different table games: Dead Hand's Dice, Olidammara's Bounty, and of course our main attraction, Fortune's Wheel itself." He gestured toward the side a ways. "The first two games take just one razorleaf to play, although you may up your ante if you like. The Wheel though will cost you 5 razorleafs to play, but the potential is much greater."
Zakhar sighs as he makes his way over to the cages, seeing his companions already digging into their 'gifts'. Just as he'd expected, these people are just trying to get them addicted to gambling. He looks down at the bag. This does seem like a lot of money to just throw around, there's no way they are just giving this to them... is there?
"This reminds me of someplace else, only there, they got you addicted to flowers..." The voice chimed... "But come on, you might as well have a little fun! It's not even your own money!"
Zakhar frowns. "That's part of what i'm worried about."
"You worry to much. Come oooon, at least to the Fortune's Wheel! Please? I'll stop pestering you if you do!"
"Like I believe that."
"Your right i wouldn't, but i'll stop for the night! How's that?"
Zakhar sighs again. It would be nice to not have to listen to the voice for even just a little while, and just using these coins on one game shouldn't hurt anything... hopefully "Maybe later, I'm going to see what the others do first."
"Thanks Vez. Maybe I will wander over to see what the Wheel is all about." Halila does just that, keeping a little bit back and examining the game. She wonders just what sort of odds or prizes might be involved in this Fortune's Wheel. It's not quite as clear as the other games. She keeps moving for the most part, seeing what happens if others play and trying to learn more about it. 'I could just cash these in and be good. But maybe I could risk just a tiny bit? I mean, 100 gp is still a good amount.'
This hall holds the game after which the casino is named: fortune’s wheel. The dazzling, upright roulette wheel, decorated with blinking lights and prizes galore, rises from an ornate stage of its own. A plush throne sits before the wheel before a marble platform fitted with a coin slot and a large lever. Three concentric circles measure 10 feet in diameter. A bird creature dressed in fine silk robes sits before the wheel and inserts 5 razorleaves and pulls the lever. The wheels begin to spin and the figures leans forward anxiously before it stops and a tunic appears on the wheel first and suddenly one appears on the stage before the creature. It reads "I spun Fortune's Wheel, and all I got was this lousy tunic". The bird person sighs deeply and gets up and sees Halila watching. "Maybe try again tomorrow. Want a tunic?"
"No thanks. I rather like these," Halila says, indicating the fine clothes she has on now. She's a bit disappointed as the bird person had caught her watching. But she continues on. "Doesn't seem like much of a game really. Where are good prizes?"
Sizzle collects the coins and smiles wide. He clutches the bag tightly as he scans the casino floor deciding what game to play. Seeing the large wheel, Sizzle scrambles towards it... getting in line before handing 5 razors in exchange for a spin...
The bird person shrugged and laughed a little. "Well that is well. Oh there are some nice prizes. I heard someone became some sort of minor deity once. But since you can only play once a day I think it's fair. Good luck!"They walk off leaving you to watch as Sizzle runs over and takes a seat, dropping their coins in and pulling the lever...
The wheels spin for a minute and when they stop the symbol of a stein appears, before one materializes before Sizzle with a note on it that reads: "Redeem for a free drink at the Ice Lounge" which was easily noted as being across the casino floor.
"COME OOOOON! Please just spin the thing!" The voice pleads.
Zakhar rolls his eyes. So far it doesn't seem like any of the prices are any good... or at least the odds of getting something decent are really bad. "Are you going to keep your promise?" He asks unenthusiastically.
"Yeah, I promise i will, and i promise im not lying."
"If you don't keep that promise I'm never trusting you again."
The voice almost responds, "well it's not like you trust me anyway." but decides to keep quiet.
Zakhar pulls out five razors and hands them to the bird creature. "Guess I'll try this thing too."He sighs.
Tyriel braces himself for what he expects will be a grueling experience as he makes his way to meet the others at the cage. He looks into the bag without much enthusiasm, and that expression doesn't change even when they find out how much the tokens are worth. Sighing he looks to the others, clearly disappointed that they all (well most of them) seem so hyped about this gambling business.
"Anyone want mine?" he holds out his bag. "I'm not exactly... into gambling." He says the word reluctantly, as if it left a bad taste in his mouth. He'd considered just throwing them away, but that didn't seem like a very smart idea considering it could offend their host. He might not like these sorts of establishments, but he also can't just make enemies out of everyone in this plane if he hopes to survive.
Regardless of whether anyone takes the bag or not, he moves to follow Zakhar. Partially out of curiosity and partially because the man doesn't seem quite as eager as the rest of them. He doesn't try to start a conversation, and likely doesn't think about how awkward it might be for him to just follow this person he just met around without even saying a word.
Sizzle seems to deflate when he is given the voucher. "For that much coin I hope it's a keg." He grumbles before turning to walk away. He still has 10 razors and he doesn't really want to lose them. "I could cash out now and still have enough to buy the materials I need for a new experiment I've been thinking about... " He mutters aloud while looking around at all the games around him.
When Tyreil mentions not wanting his coins, Sizzle quickly scampers over and snatches the small pouch from his companion. "I'll take those!" He says as he puts his own coins in his pocket. Now with an additional 15 coins, he heads towards the table playing dead man's dice. Once there the goblin climbs up into one of the chairs and slaps down 5 razors. "I'll take 4 dice please"
When Tyriel offers up his bag of razors, Halila too speaks up right away. "I'll take them!" But Sizzle is faster. She thinks, 'More evidence that this is not my lucky day!'
She had watched Sizzle's attempt at the Wheel and was once again convinced that this was not really worth it. 'He spent 50 gold for a drink! That's useless!' But something still held her curiosity here. As Safar makes an attempt she continues to watch.
Esta, feeling the weight of countless eyes on her with every step, starts to feel a bit deflated. She’s never been one for conventional gambling; she knows all too well that the house always wins. As she strolls through the casino, her eyes dart around, ever vigilant for any opportunity to score from an unsuspecting mark.
After a while, she catches a glimpse of her companions gathered around a spinning wheel game. With a casual stride, she makes her way over to them, a smile playing on her lips. "Woohoo, go team! What did you win?" she cheers, her voice light and encouraging.
While her companions celebrate, Esta’s gaze remains sharp, scanning the casino floor for any less watched areas. She studies the guards, trying to discern any patterns in their movements.

Not spotting anything of particular interest, she decides to shift her focus. "I suppose I should go collect my tokens, seeing as it's not my coin being spent,"she remarks, her tone a mix of practicality and mild amusement. "Who did you guys speak with to get them?" she asks, her eyes drifting towards the Cages, trying to identify who she needs to approach.

Then he moves to follow Zakhar, raising an eyebrow when he spins the wheel and obtains a strange silver pin.
