As you run in the direction of the crash site, you get a look at the man. He looks somewhat kind, even in very, VERY clear death. The slash in his stomach sickens you, as if you knew him in his life. He is so large that even though he seems to be over a hundred miles away, you can see specific hairs on his head and face. As you stare at him, you hear a yell from behind you. “Those of you that got us to this safe haven, please report to the mayor’s office. Immediately.”
The sheer magnitude of the being unsettles him, yet something draws him to keep staring, unable to shake the feeling of familiarity.
Insight on giant man: 8
Before Korath can process it further, a sharp yell cuts through his thoughts. He looks annoyed for a moment before sighing; responsibility trumps curiosity this time. "Whatever the mayor has to say could offer guidance. Perhaps answers about the fallen being, or a plan to keep the city safe from whatever might follow."
Look the man over as best I can in short time, make mental note of his clothing, any identifying marks and visible possessions. Anyone have any ideas as who or what exactly this is?
Norberos finally makes his way to the dead man and stands next to all the others "Yep....dead alright." (nat 1 religion) Norb has never seen this being before, which makes sense living in the woods and not really being a scholar of deities and the like. He continues "The mayor wants to speak with you folk hero types. Old Norb is no hero but the stars did foretell this or did they?" he chuckles "Well if you all wouldn't mind an old gopher like myself following along, I would like to see this through"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

The people inside the hall were apparently pretty well protected as no one stepped forward or shouted for a healer. So I go outside to where the others were staring at the unearthly enormous man. Someone announces that the mayor wants to see those of us who aided others, I wait for the others to go to the mayor so I can follow. I'm not in town often enough to know where to go, so I will follow the crowd.

The people who were heading to find the temple stopped mid stride to stare at the colossal creature. I take a more studied look at it and see if it is familiar from the rumors and tales that I picked up on the streets. Arcana +3 14 Religion +3 7. Not knowing who or what the massive man is or was, Aymar just stares in awe....
After noticing Norberos for the first time since the chaos began. "Norberos, is that you? You probably don't remember me, but we met years ago. Didn't think I'd see you again, especially in a place like this."
Aymar follows suit, heading to speak with the mayor.
Norberos looks at Aymar “Hmm at my age all yer faces looks the same, but I never forget a name err no wait I have that backwards. I never forget a face but yer names. Yer that young druid I met in the woods. You were chitterin with some squirrels trying to find a golden acorn…no no gilded feather….ah barnacles that’s not it. Ah ha! We met in the grove, yes? I helped you tend to some sick animals. You allowed me to stay for a night or two, yes?” Norb will walk with Aymar if he can keep pace with them
"Sol." Korath repeats to the others as they head for the mayor's office, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "I don't know why, but that name comes to mind when I think about the Fallen. It's so strange."
"Sol, the fallen" I mutter to myself. I try to remember whether I had ever heard such a name. Religion +1 15

Zinlynn was just starting to walk towards the fallen creature when she hears the shout. Although she technically didn't actually help anyone, she had been spared certain death - again - to serve a purpose. And so, with a sigh, she turns and heads to the Mayor's office, collecting those brave ones who were less familiar with the town.
"Come on, heroes. Follow me - I'll take you to the Mayor." You would all recognize her from the tavern - the pretty half-elf girl with haunted eyes but a kind heart.
Seeing this mountain of a man dead on the ground is humbling. My stature had always given me a sense of indestructibility even though my rational mind knows that to be false. I try to remember if Sol is mentioned in Goliath history (History 14). I would love to examine the body closer but the distance and urgency to meet the mayor stops me from doing so. My hesitation causes me to delay and the others to depart without me but with my long strides I quickly catch up and slow my speed to walk with the others. "We should talk with the mayor about the TSM. He may recognize the description”, I say to the others.

You definitely have heard it somewhere, but you can’t fully remember.

Korath rolls History 11 and Religion 17 trying to figure out why the man seems familiar.

You have a tickling sensation in the back of your head, and the name Sol comes to mind.

Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?

Just to confirm, all of you are going to the mayors? Nobody’s going to the temple or staying in view of the crash?
(OOC - I believe so, I don’t think anyone has specifically said otherwise. Gurog mentioned getting info from the mayor and then going to the temple)
OOC (Norb will follow Aymar despite not wanting to talk w the mayor if Aymar stays so will Norb)
(Ooc: Yeah, Korath would rather investigate the crash, but feels responsibility to talk to the mayor. Also isn't the crash really far away?)
