Norberos nods and looks for a bench or a pew nearby to sit on. "Indeed...a god falls from the sky and someone was rushing in asking to take up arms before it all happened? Interesting no?
Korath leans in slightly toward Gurog. “I don’t know how gods die either, but this is bigger than curiosity, Gurog,” he says, his voice low but firm. “We need to be careful. If word spreads too quickly, we might lose any chance of learning the truth.” Zinlynn’s observation about the 'new brother' only deepens Korath’s concern. The timing is suspicious, and the mention of someone arriving just before the fall, especially one who doesn’t fit in with the others, ties too closely to the looming figure they’ve heard about.
He glances around at Norberos, who has found a seat nearby. “It’s more than interesting. Someone preparing for conflict just as a god falls from the sky isn’t a coincidence...We need to find him. But first, let’s hear what this priest has to say.”
Agreed, let's speak to this scary looking priest. Perhaps there is a war being fought above that we are unaware of, but this Sol somehow alerted one of his followers...Rich's jaw tightens with his next words, perhaps that war is coming to our shores.
"Well the mayor told us that the TSM is most likely the temple head priest, so this new armed 'brother' is someone completely new. We should definitely talk with both and gather as much information as we can before heading out. The knowledge we gain here today could save our lives tomorrow." To Rich, "Yes, it does seem this armed man knew something prior to the events today. Either he is truly one of Sol's followers or a wolf hiding among the sheep. Either way, we must bring the truth to the surface."
"If he is in part a god of Balance, the mortal realm itself could be in peril! Nature is in balance, and where that fails, problems come for all races.". I'm more determined now to find the answers to this mystery. " Can one of you priests lead us to this new brother who appeared armed before the great one fell?"

"I guess I might have heard some of this beforehand if I had spent more of my misbegotten youth in the temple." I mutter quietly. Then a thought occurs to me so I speak up. "If this fallen giant is the god of the sun, will the sun rise in the morning?" As much as my work is best done in the dark, eternal night sounds like a bad thing.

Paradise Lost--Tharra Quofinas, druid. Unam the Unseen, Rogue
The door of the waiting room opens, and a tall man with a nose that seems to be perpetually looked down at “all the other less significant” people. “I am father Elnezar.” He says in a sneering way. “What do you want?”
Korath immediately feels the tension rise as the tall man steps into the room, his arrogant posture and condescending tone grating against Korath’s patience. The man’s words—drenched in superiority—do nothing to help the situation. But Korath keeps his composure, knowing they need answers more than they need to start a confrontation.
Straightening to his full height, Korath meets Father Elnezar’s gaze without flinching. His voice remains calm but carries a weight of authority behind it. “We’re here on the mayor’s request,” he begins, his amber eyes narrowing slightly. “We need information about the fallen figure. The giant who crashed outside the city.”
He steps forward, his tone firm and unyielding. “If there’s anyone in this temple who can help us understand what happened, we’d like to speak with them. We’re here to prevent further damage and protect the people of Highbrook.”
Rich stands with Korath and Gurog, we'd also like to speak with the newly arrived priest, the one with the armour and weapons. Watching the fathers reaction, insight roll 6
Zinlynn, pipes up from the back of the group, "What could kill a god? Are we all doomed?" She also is thinking that this is the tall, scary man they were looking for, and is interested to see his reaction to their questioning...(Insight: 7) ...but for some reason she can't get a good read on this man. Usually, she was a better judge of character and intent - working in the tavern required an increased amount of awareness to keep herself safe from the drunk and lecherous men of the city.

The father groans, and rolls his eyes in the most upsetting way possible. He says, “WHY- WHY IS EVERYONE SO CONCERNED WITH HIM? HE IS CAUTIOUS NOTHING ELSE! no. You may not see him.” You can’t read him very well.

He groans and pulls out a large book, bound by a chain shaped like the sun, with a set of scales in the middle with a sword driven through them. He twists his hand and the lock falls open, and he opens the book.
“As followers of sol, we are- concerned to say the least. We cannot confirm that the fallen is indeed the true Sol, a poser, an angel of his, or something else. I assume the mayor had sent you here because you will go to investigate the body, and I ask this boon of you. Check the man’s body for a sword made of the sun, and a medallion depicting scales. This will be enough to robe that he is a god. Our god. We have felt a disturbance in his divine power last night, but it could only be his distress at whatever happened up there, in the heavens.
"I’ll do it," Korath said, his voice gravelly but resolute. "But you know as well as I do, we walk dangerous lines when it comes to gods and their kin. If this truly is Sol, if his power falters, we may be staring down a threat far greater than the mortal realm can handle."
"What about the new brother?" He crosses his arms, the muscles in his forearms flexing slightly as he waits for the answer. "Now’s not the time for secrets, especially with what's at stake."
“ The new brother does not concern you- however, if your so worried, and you must know, he is a student of sol, simply wishing to learn more about his god. He was once a mercenary. Nothing else.”
He snaps his fingers and withdraws from The room. Immediately, four men in white robes and masks of smiling, beautiful faces walk in followed by a man in chainmail and wielding a shield and axe with a bow strapped to his back.
you hear father Elnezar yell “SILENCE THOSE WHO POKE THEIR UGLY NOSES WHERE THEY DON’T BELONG”
It would seem we have all the info the church is willing to part with. Very likely their deity, or at the very least, his celestial avatar is deceased. Murdered in some heavenly war. The church is amassing an army of warrior priest for some upcoming battle, in secret I might add. I'm sure the mayor's next move would be to dispatch us to the captain of the guard to assist him in the investigation of the temple, it's grounds and clergy members. Did I leave anything out?

Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?

This man seems somewhat flustered, and upset. You notice a bead of sweat running down his brow.
