Well while you were busy playing with you Holy Symbol I’ve noticed that there goblin by the bridge. The bridge looks a bit dodgy mind.
Reckon Thequin might have better luck in the dark with a ranged shot? We can then decide if we want to cross or explore for another route - assuming the plan is to cross.
After Brand completes his sermon, Lucius rolls his eyes and follows over to Ollanius.
Put that light out Ol, don't want him spotting us and calling any of his buddies over. I don't trust walking over that bridge and having that gobbo cut the rope as we cross or before we can cross. May be best to let Theqen sneak across and shove that gobbo into the abyss. Or I could use my magic to summon the hand and try to distract him for us to cross. What do you guys reckon?
"I like the sneak across and shove the gobbo into the abyss or stab it in the back plan. The problem with the hand plan is will we get close enough before the goblin realises something is up. He may have better luck with that as his archery has been shocking to say the least"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Theqen moves without saying anything to the others, a hungry look in his eye. As he creeps up the passage, the goblin turns at the the movement in the darkness. Reflexively, Theqen uses Misty Step and appears behind the goblin with his shortsword raised horizontally at shoulder height
Theqen scouts round along the path nearest to him to ensure there are no surprises. The rest of you slowly and carefully pick your way up a slope with loose rubble. You are able to perceive where best to place your feet to avoid the whole slope coming loose and tumbling you down.
At the top, you reunited with Theqen who gives the rest a quiet nod. The path continues on and opens out into a large cave.
This large cave is divided in half by a ten-foot-high escarpment. A steep natural staircase leads from the lower portion to the upper ledge. The air is hazy with the smoke of a cooking fire, and pungent from the smell of poorly cured hides and unwashed goblins.
Six goblins inhabit this den, and one of them is larger than the others. The five ordinary goblins tend the cooking fire in the lower (northern) part of the cave near the entrance passage you are in, while the larger one rests in the upper (southern) part of the cave.

The goblin manages to turn just in time to have the blade pass it's side

Theqen brings the blade up and across, trying to waste as little energy from the missed strike.

The blade takes off the goblin's arm and bites deep into it's neck. With a gurgle it slumps against his blade.
Theqen moves the goblin to the shadow near the bridge and wipes his blade clean on the body
Theqen can see an opening behind him on the opposite side of the cave passage to where the rest of the party are.
The group can see an opening on the opposite side of the passage to them across a shallow part of the stream
Brand gives the thumbs up to Theqen and walks towards the opening. Brand Checks for traps or hidden dangers.

"Shall we head in as Theqen has cleared the way?"

Ol gives a wry smile at this rather nice piece of work from Thequin, and with a nod to his companions moves off with the group.

This is a bit more like it and we have the initiative. Thought Ollanius.
Four against six? I fancy our chances. That biggun will take a beating though. What do you say a volley of arrows and have at it?
some kind of decoy after the first volley might give us a second go at them before we get hands on.
Ol stings a bow and takes aim. Waiting for Lucius and Tequin to prepare their volley aswell.
Brand also prepares to cast sacred flame at an unsuspecting goblin, matching his timing with the others and their bows.
Ol gives the nod to his companions and let’s fly towards the nearest Goblin
