As you move to just inside the tree line, you see that in the small clearing there are a group of rough looking men (4 to be specific) gathered around a fire. There are two tents set up on the far side, and several horses tethered to the trees on your side. The horses clearly notice you, but if they are meant to be an alarm system they are failing miserably. The men by the fire don't seem to know you are here.
Taxidea will stealthily retreat back to the party to report.
"4 guys and their horses camping out in a clearing over there. You know, I don't like to jump to conclusions but they don't look nearly as hospitable as our Caravan friends or the folks in the town-outside-of-time. On the other hand, they seem less dangerous than a bunch of Fire Elementals. These guys aren't on fire...yet...but I could change that for em' if they try to mess with us."

"Perhaps we have a few in the woods to ambush and a few walk up to them and see how friendly they are, thise horse would speed up the trip, only if these guys stepped out of line of course." Xondario offers.
Jasmine says, "I do not like the idea of leaving bandits alone and giving them the opportunity to strike us when we least expect it. However, I hate the idea of engaging with them when we don't even know for sure what their intentions are. Perhaps... we should give them the benefit of the doubt and go about our way."
Taxidea considers for a moment. "You know, the more I think about it, the more I like Xondario's idea. Let's sus em' out, see if they're gonna be a problem or not. I don't want them sneaking up on us later on. Besides, Armeros I you learned some new tricks that you're just itchin' to try out."

So, Jasmine and Armeros are attempting a straight forward diplomatic approach, is the rest of the party staying back, or following behind, or circling around, or something else?
EDIT: Jason does not perceive a threat other than the potential bandits. Divine sense is not picking anything up currently.
"Here's what I suggest: Armeros and Jasmine will confront them directly. The rest of us will try to sneak in close but stay out of sight. One of you - Jason maybe? Stay behind Armeros and Jsasmine, ready to come in if needed. Xondario and Flynt take the flanks, and I'll sneak around to the other side - that way we have them surrounded."

Xondario would walk up too, he's no good at hiding or ranged. He also is a bit intimidating so less likely these folks decide to make trouble out of opportunity.
Edit: Xon is good either way, he's not a talker but he's also not good at hiding.
Knowing no one will listen but feelin it should be said Flynt states Flatley, "Or we could leave 'em be, since they ain't done nothing and would probably appreciate being left in peace. Not to mention it's just another distraction from our goal." Regardless of his words Flynt moves ahead with Jasmine and Ameris. He takes note of the horses, the gear, how it's packed, condition, anything that's would give him better insight into what they might be walking into. His history as a law man and bounty hunter giving him a bit of advantage. Not to mention the rune on his hat that shimmers slightly.

He addresses the group in a rough voice. "Oi', whatcha doin' here, eh? We don't kindly take to armed strangers springing on us out of nowhere." Flynt can't tell what they're up to here, but they don't look like 'just travellers'. The rest of the party is still working their way to their assinged positions.
Flynt takes lead, Holding up his left hand in a calming gesture.
"Calm yer selves, we're just traveling. Looking for a tower near hear, you know anything about one?"
Flynt stalls giving the others time to position.Thoughnhis words are calm there icy tone hint at the suggestion that the strangers crew should tread lightly.
(Intimidation= 7 [1+6] Critical fail depending on how you rule it.)
They don't lower their weapons, but the mans voice lost some of the edge. "The tower? Of course I know about that. Everyone does. Hard not to when Shigh keeps thugs and monsters guarding it 24/7." EDIT: I don't do critical fails and successes for skill checks.
"I would hardly consider walking down the road as springing out of nowhere. Do you treat every one that walks by with such manners? If we wished you harm, we wouldn't be talking now would we?" Xondario keeps the hammer up on his shoulder and tried to stand casual while at full size on display.

Jasmine offers to go with Armeros. Her heavy armor doesn't make her very good at being in the "Ambush squad" anyway.
