Rikas is in hiding for roughly 20 minutes before anything happens. The gates to the tower open just a few feet, and you see a stream of flame shoot out, spreading out and entering each tent. The fire seems to stay for just a minute before leaving again, the doors closing behind.
Rikas informs the group of a mysterious force that shoots fire at these lean-tos. He then decides to try and get a little closer and tries to peak inside one of the tents.
Assuming one of the relays explains what was said:
Xondario looks perplexed, "So there is a gate like set of doors to the tower, and flame fly out of them. Did anything go in or out when that happened? Lean tos, those are made in hurry but planned for repeated use. Like they will be used more then a little while but nothing semi permanent. Any reason we all don't move closer? Perhaps to where the road ends? We had an ambush jump out of the woods once on us, hate to have it happen to just one of us." Xondario looks at the others to start preparing to move closer.
Armeros inclines his head thoughtfully, his crimson fingers brushing against his chin. “We may learn more by observing the gate directly. And the lean-tos...Perhaps remnants of those who attempted to enter, or guardians stationed to deter intruders.” His golden eyes flick to the others. “I agree we should move closer, together. If the road ends there, it is likely no coincidence.”
Taxidea nods. "Lead the way my friend. Let's go see what we came all this way to find."

If the information about the fires is relayed, Jasmine will say, "I wonder... the fire that comes out of the gates... is it merely a trap or is it more of those elementals?"
She also agrees that the bigger group should move closer. She does not want the scouting party to get caught off-guard and ambushed too far away for the rest to jump in and help.
Xondario sees Armeros hanging back due to his noisy armor and suddenly realizes he probably putting the group at as much risk. "Perhaps we advance in shifts, Armeros, one of the short wave radios, and I can follow the rest of you. If you determine no foul activity then you can signal for us, louder movers, to follow." Not sure what a short wave radio was but it sounded funny and smart in the moment, and he would swear he heard Graph, thier old trainer, say it before.
Armeros isn't very stealthy, considering his armor, so will let the others go a bit ahead before following.
Jasmine also hangs back since her armor is also quite noisy. Besides, as long as any threats are within sight and within 120ft of her, she can blast them with ancient magic.
Taxidea seems torn between staying close to his friend Armeros, and getting a closer look at the tower. Eventually his curiosity wins out and he sneaks up to the edge of the woods where he can get a good look.

Armeros smirks as he gets an idea after seeing Badger's reluctance to leave him. He channels the power in his armor to cast levitate on himself, floating a few feet above the ground. "Hah, now I will be most quiet," he remarks proudly, enjoying the feeling of weightlessness, "I simply...need someone to pull me along, please."
