Rikas is in hiding for roughly 20 minutes before anything happens. The gates to the tower open just a few feet, and you see a stream of flame shoot out, spreading out and entering each tent. The fire seems to stay for just a minute before leaving again, the doors closing behind.

Armeros glances at the others, taking a slight step back from the door. "I'll go in, just...not first." He gives a look of slight embarrassment, tail flicking nervously behind him.
"Well if no one else else wants to be first, beats being out here." Xondario will move to enter the doorway. Hammer in hand, he whispers to it and the hammers head erupt in flames. He carrys it in both hands but holds it out to help light the way. They get the big heavy armor but need me to lead the way he chuckles to himself as he moves forward.
Armeros gives a slight sigh of relief as Xondario takes the lead, accepting that he has no good excuse not to go second and following after a few seconds.
Taxidea follows Jasmine. (OOC: Just a reminder that Taxidea did cast light on rock and throw it in there so it's not completely dark in there when we enter)

Taxidea will join Xini, looking into the darkness. Picking up a rock he casts light on it and throws it into the darkness.
The stone bounces a few times on what seems to be a glass or marble floor, polished to extreme reflection, before rolling to a stop. No walls can be seen.
With Xondario leading the way, you push in. As noted previously by tossing the stone, the floor is smooth. 100% smooth. Is is black with some scarce, deep red veins.
As with the rock, the light from the hammer reveals no walls, only an empty abyss in any direction. About 50 feet in, the massive doors swing closed behind the party with a solid THUNK.
Armeros looks around the strange space curiously. Black glass, and the outside did look flame resistant. He leans over to study the floor, wondering if this tower might be of Infernal construction.

The noise of the doors closing behind them makes him jump slightly. "It's to be expected, but still..." He mutters in annoyance.
Taxidea ends the light spell on the rock and quickly re-casts it on a crystal set into a leather bracelet on his wrist. "Yep Armeros my friend - in for a copper, in for a gold. No turning back now. Let's go find this staff."

"Still able to fly? I'm thinking the way to the staff is up." Not supper thrilled to have the door shut behind them, Xondario figured they were doing ok since task 1 was to get to the tower, 2 get inside the tower, so they were making some progress...

"I'm afraid my armor only has one charge left until the next dawn," Armeros confesses with a sigh, "No more floating for me, though I can cast jump once if needed. Maybe there are more buttons to press on the wall in here, like the one that opened the stable."
You push further and further into the tower. It gets gloomy. Despairing. Walking through an endless void, the only light being Xondario's hammer and Taxidea's wristband. You start losing all sense of time. Has it been just minutes since you entered? Hours? Days even? Anyone with night vision finally sees it. A humongous staircase that gets wider the higher it goes. It's made of some sort of quartz or marble, pure white. As you get closer those without night vision see it as well. Near impossible to see just how far out it is.
Rikas smirks as he's starting to love the gamble of what dangers could lie ahead... is it dangerous? Is it expensive? Only one way to find out... Rikas pushes ahead to the front of the group and tries to get to the top of the staircase as fast as he can, but also keeping his feet light and quiet.

Xini, with a smile a mile wide with pride at having remembered the door (Thanks DM), stands to the side so battle ready folks can take the lead.

Flynt brings up the rear. His stone rune granting him dark vision allows him to remain in shadow at the back but with out the loss of visibility.
