The trap is something where you have place you hand in just the right position on the handle or else it triggers. It's easy work for you to disarm the trap and unlock the door.
As the door opens, soft candlelight starts filtering out, giving off a warm, homely feel. The room is rectangular, with the door being roughly in the middle of a long side. On the far right is a neat little fireplace with a couple small logs burning and providing both light and warmth. To the left is a table with two chairs, set with china. By the fireplace is a pair of comfortable looking chairs, stuffed to nearly bursting. In the middle, against the opposite wall from the door is a desk with papers and a huge feather pen. In the middle of the room on the floor is a dark, red and blue rug.
Candles are set on shelves on the walls, or little stands against the walls providing plenty of light. The room is nearly 20 feet long, 10 wide.
Taxidea walks over to the desk. "Any chance the rod is disguised as a pen?" he asks, picking up the pen and brandishing it like a wand. Then he starts to look through the papers and open any drawers in the desk.

As Xini passes by Rikas, he gives her a smirk with a little wink. "After you m'lady."After everyone goes in, Rikas follows in last, doing one click glance behind him before entering fully into the room. When he sees the rug in the middle of the room, he goes up to it and grabs the edge. "There is ALWAYS a secret door under rugs like this." And Rikas yanks the rug, moving it out of the way.
"Anything is possible. Best be thorough." Armeros is slightly disappointed as he watches everyone search to no avail. He'll approach the table with the china to study it more closely just in case.

Xini will examine the fireplace tools to see if it is the goddesses staff. If not I will look and see if there is a staff here, possibly hidden as a broom.
