So the room you guys are investigating is I believe on the right, if you're walking away from the stairs. The voices are coming from the opposite end of the hallway from the stairs.
Right now we are still at the point right after Jasmine alerted everyone.
Jasmine will peer down the hallway to see if she can see who is coming along. She will also cast Invisibility on herself to vanish and try to get closer to see who is coming down the hall if she can't see from where she's standing.
Jasmine will try to run back and inform the party what she saw and stay hidden thanks to the 1 hour duration of Invisibility. That way, if a fight begins between the party and the men, she can ambush them.
"Guards, with uniforms, that could be useful to have to navigate around this place. I vote we relieve them of thier duty." Xondario looks to the others for confirmation.
"I agree. Perhaps we can interrogate one of them about how this place works as well." Armeros smirks, clearly eager for a chance to test his new abilities.
Rikas looks at the guards, then to the group. "You all hang back here. I will walk up, act lost and confused, lure them back here, and you all can jump them."
"Sooooo.....that's a 'no' on the fireball then?" Taxidea whispers with a sigh, putting the wand away. "Fine. Guess I'll go with plan 'b'."

Uhm, so we kinda have like 3 different things, and I don't think it would work if all three happened.

Flynt hears the sound of the plate but continues to play the part of sentry. He gives a slight side eye to the door with a turn of his head before facing forward as if the noise hadn't been expected but isn't a cause for concern.
If the men approach the door with the intent of entering Flynt will step infront of the door and give them a reason for the noise and their presence. ( I'll write what it is if they stop)
Indeed, the men hear the noise and stop. They give Flynt an odd look, and hesitate before one of them speaking up. "What are you doing here? All privates should be in the yard for training."
The guard fellow is silent for a minute, a distrustful look on his face. Eventually he calls his two men after him and slowly backs away a few steps before turning back around and marching down the steps.
The last Flynt sees of him before he is gone from sight is his piercing blue eyes digging into Flynt's soul.
Armeros knows this is the best outcome for staying undetected, but is still a little disappointed that he hasn't gotten to send any souls to the Hells yet.
(Just to confirm, the approaching sounds would be from the opposite side of room of where people are still outside of.)

Surprised for moment when Jasmin disappears but experienced enough to not be overly shook up, Flynt keeps a calm composure.
Realizing that the encroaching party will pass by if he simply does nothing, Flynt maintains a sentry pose outside the door.
