Armeros successfully opens the door, and is almost blinded by the light that explodes into the hallway. It takes a minute for everyone to get used to the light, but once they do, they are met with what could only be describes as the mother load. Inside the massive room is a pile of gold, gems, and precious items that must be at least 40 feet tall, and much wider around. There are silver engraved lanterns hanging from the ceiling providing shockingly powerful light, that then reflects off of the pile of treasure and filling the room with light so brilliant it nearly seems as if Shigh has captured the sun itself.
Rikas finds plenty that could easily be expensive. Well a majority of the pile is just gold, silver, or platinum, when it's this big three's still tons of chalices, gems, plates, etc. I'd like to remind y'all just how big the pile is. it fills up nearly the entire room, so there isn't really anywhere to dig, since there's nowhere to put what you are digging up, if that makes sense.
Flynt, as he stands guard a ways down the hall, (Actually, did you go further down the hallway or closer to the steps?)
Taxidea stops digging and looks up at the pile. "Ok, this is dumb. I don't think the rod is here, and even if it IS buried under all that, it would take forever to find it. Let's go look somewhere else - I mean heck we can always come back here and spend the rest of our lives digging if we haven't found it yet." He walks back out into the hallway.
(OOC: Just FYI, he only took the 1 large ruby)

Let's go look somewhere else - I mean heck we can always come back here and spend the rest of our lives digging if we haven't found it yet." He walks back out into the hallway.

Armeros nods, crossing his arms. "I must agree, my friend. This isn't the room I saw in my vision either. I suspect the staff will be stored more securely elsewhere." Gold, jewels and such are nice, but he'd prefer something more practical for their mission.

Further down the hall, continuing away from the stairs. Flynt holds a hand ready to draw "Betsy" at the first sign of being discovered.( crossbow, hand of warning)
Knowing that this time around he won't be able to cover the activities in the vault, he prepares for a fight.
Flynt, knowing that most likely in a fight he'd be outnumbered, continues down the hall without hinder. Then he starts hearing whispers. At first just a few, but they build up fast until the hallway is filled with them. distracted by the new noise, he doesn't notice at first that that the doors are missing, and he is walking forward into a black void.
Without a danger warning from Betsy, Flynt is more curious than concerned as the voices whisper unintelligible words. A few more steps and he realizes that his darkvision is no longer showing him the path ahead. Reaching out to his side he finds the wall and uses it to guide himself back to the others.
(Can they see Flynt visible to the others?) "Oi Flynt, the old man said stick together to succeed on this one, wonder your feet back here, ya hear?" Xondario had been so concerned with what might happen in the room that he miss what happened outside of the room.
Failing to find a wall that was there moments before unnerves the lawman a bit but he quickly squashes the panic that is beginning to grip him. Taking a deep breath he pivots 180 degrees and tries to make his way back to the group. He had only gone a dozen paces or so so they shouldn't be to far off he reasons.
