Looking out the window at the rainy city outside, both Thurimar and Tristan notice a figure standing on a roof, darting towards the building where you stand. Suddenly, the window shatters. A rainbow of glass shards explodes throughout the room as a dagger shoots through them, aimed at Norrell.
(OOC: his DEX save: 4 - anyone feel free to make DEX saves/attack rolls against the dagger)
OOC - I forgot to add my guidance in. 11 + 2 = 13. Do I also see the figure on the roof?
(OOC: No, it's pretty rainy and dark outside- this cloaked figure almost perfectly blends in)
Tristan’s instincts kick in the moment the window shatters. With a swift, practiced motion, he calls upon his divine power. “By the Light, be shielded!” he commands, casting Shield of Faith on Norrell. A faint shimmering barrier envelops the old man.
Before the attacker can land, Tristan’s hand is already on his sword. With a fierce war cry, he moves toward the broken window, swinging his blade in an arc toward the intruder, aiming to end the threat before it can even fully enter the room. His eyes burn with righteous fury as he fights to protect those under his care.
Even with Tristan's shield, the blade still hits Norrell, who puts up an arm to deflect the worst of the blow. He takes 4 piercing damage as the blade sinks into his arm, his clothes turning red around the wound. The attacker, jumping into the room to finish off the job, lands by the window and immediately backtracks, but is slashed across the chest by Tristan's blade, growling and then spitting on the floor while muttering curses in some mysterious, jagged language.

With the attacker jumping into the room, Thorne springs to action. He mentally targets the man and casts Hunter's Mark on him, which will allow him to do more damage while also making it harder for the man to hide from him. Thorne then draws his longbow (assuming the man isn't with 5ft since he is by the window) and fires it at him. 26 to hit (Nat 20 + 6) for 14 damage (13 piercing [longbow] + 1 force [hunter's mark]) The man is inflicted with slow due to weapon mastery.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Looking at the events unfolding, Thurimar grins" as predicted." 4 translucent purple rays emerge out of his hands guiding themselves towards the individual coming through the window, expecting that this individual might have valuable information he mutters a few more words those of damage, yet those that aren't permanent. Gliding towards the far corner of the room preparing for another attack, one that might be lethal for an individual like him.
OOC:
Guiding Bolt, to attack 18 , damage 12-Non lethal damage
The figure is blasted by multiple attacks, being run through by an arrow and then blasted by two bolts, screaming out in pain as it is pushed out of the window. Red sprays into the room as it falls. You hear a thud from the street below.

Thorne hurries over and examines Norrell’s wounds and the dagger to see if it was poisoned. Medicine check: 18
He hands Norrell 4 goodberries to replenish his health. (OOC: 11 remaining)
Thorne speaks loudly, Tristan, go retrieve that body, it’ll cause too much of a disturbance if found on the street like that… and Thurimar, go with him to clean blood on the street with your prestidigitation spell.
Tristan's heart pounds in his chest as the assailant falls through the window. He turns quickly toward Norrell, his face hard with determination. "Hold still," he says, his voice calm but urgent. Kneeling beside the injured shopkeeper, Tristan begins to examine the injury. “Are you alright?” he asks Norrell, glancing around the room for anything that may help treat the wound.
"Oh fine, I guess I have to go do the dirty work!" Running out of the room Thurimar races down the flight of stairs getting to the place where the body just fell. Looking at the clobbered corpse on the floor, the stained blood filtering through the uneven recesses in the pavement,"This won't be an easy one to clean up", he mumbles. Making haste he hoists the body and drops it into a corner (OOC: or anywhere where it is semi-out of sight) and covers it with his cloak. Directly after that he recites a chant, one quick and efficient to get rid of the blood stains on the floor.

Norrell lies in his chair, breathing heavily, the dagger stuck into his arm. The wound is deep, with only the hilt, the symbol of Yalex marked clearly on it, protruding from his arm. Around the wound, on the other hand, veins turn dark and his arm begins to shrivel around it. Poison. Searching around the room, you hear Norrell gasp out to you. "Not here. Go downstairs. Under the counter a blue p-potion. B-b-bring it back."

You quickly move to hide the body, although you do not see anyone on the streets. However, as you cover the body with your cloak and back away, you see the cloak slightly move - just before an undead human face pokes its head out and growls. Most of the skin has rotted off of the assassin's face already, revealing bone and gore beneath, and it lacks an eye, but it still seems capable of murdering you as it pulls another dagger out of its ripped clothes.

Without wanting to waste a moment, Thorne speaks to Tristan, I’ll try to find that potion, but maybe we should use your lay on hands to cure the poison immediately. It looks like it is moving fast! And with that Thorne sprints to the staircase and runs down the stairs, and to the counter looking for the blue potion.
Tristan’s eyes widen as he sees the dark lines spreading around the wound, the poison already working its way through Norrell’s veins. Placing a steady hand on Norrell’s shoulder, he speaks in a calm, commanding voice to the others. “Someone grab that blue potion under the counter, in case this doesn't work. Quickly!”
Without wasting another moment, he places his hand directly over the wound, channeling his healing energy once more with Healing Hands, focusing on neutralizing the poison. “Stay with me, Norrell,” he murmurs, watching closely as he tries to push the warmth of his everlight into the man to push back against the poisoning darkening veins.
“Hold tight,”he says, glancing up toward the stairs, hoping his ability to heal will purify the poison.
OOC: Using 5 points of lay on hand to purify poison.

Investigation 10
Although Norrell told you where it was, his description could have been simpler. Under the desk, there are hundreds of small drawers with old, mostly rusted labels. As you look through (OOC: a Perception check is welcome), you see that Norrell is quite the explorer- "Rocks", "Special Rocks", "Lucky Rocks", and "Leaves" are some of the many.

You whack the undead assassin on the head, producing a satisfying clunk but not actually seeming to injure the creature. Its STR check to make it out of the cloak (I would just do usual prone rules w/half movement but it's pretty tangled up): 6.
I also cast Healing Word on Norrell and heal him for 7.
OOC: 2d4+3. got 2s on both.
A stream of eldritch words come slowly out of your mouth, and a golden light envelops Norrell. You see that as this happens, his veins begin to revert to normal, while the cut begins to shrink, pushing the dagger a bit out of the wound. He grimaces, then grabs the dagger, wrenching it out of his arm. Underneath, the cut still looks nasty, but definitely has gotten better.
