"I would like the world to remember me as the guy who really enjoyed playing games and sharing his knowledge and his fun pastimes with everybody else." - Gary Gygax
The shop he directed you to turns out to be difficult to find. On the second and third stories of a three-story building, atop a tavern, you have to go around the building to use a creaky old staircase that seems as if it would crumble under you with every step. Eventually, you enter a wide common-room space repurposed to hold a shop: chairs and couches around a small table, with racks and shelves of items on the walls. A staircase leads up to the third story. As you open the door, a bell rings, and you hear a muffled shout from the back of the shop. "Hold on- I'll be there in a minute! Just sit down and make yourselves comfortable!"

Looking around more carefully, you see that this building has seen many days - scorch marks on some walls, faint carvings made by someone long ago, to name some - and that the shelves hold more than winter gear - potions, scrolls, and weapons are some you can see.
After about a minute or so, you hear a few crashes from the back, and a young woman comes rushing out towards you. Messily done brown hair is pushed out of place even farther by a pair of large goggles, and an impish face, pockmarked with scars, definitely shows some failed tinkering in the past. "So sorry!" she says with a slight laugh, pushing the goggles on to her face. "Customers always come when I'm not ready! Now, I'm Freya Undauthar, tinkerer extraordinaire and owner of this shop! What have you come for today?"

We will be trekking the mountains and need some winter gear for the journey. Norrell said this was the place to do that.
Her face lights up in a wide grin. "Old Norrell sent you? Well, that's just amazing! I didn't know that the old geezer was still alive!" Looking around the room, she walks over to a rack holding everything from balaclavas to parkas, pulling some clothes off. "Now, the Spine, eh? Sounds dangerous. Can you tell me why you're going, such a motley crew?"

We are making our way to Port Ilsyn and opted for the Spine route.
by the way, do you recognize this symbol at all?
Dothkrata Ulimin - scrap of parchment with a symbol - a circle, with an eight-pointed star on the inside. In the center of the star stands a moon. Found in Norrell’s shop. It may represent the sun, the moon, and Westeros--the star being the sun, with the moon inside, and the circle that surrounds them is Westeros.

While she's pulling clothes off, she takes a glance at the symbol. "Never seen it before," she says. "Now try these!" She pulls out a few sets of clothes, going around and handing them to each of you. They look like normal clothes, but, as she explains, "They will keep you warm."

Thorne takes out 5 gold and hands them over. Then shoes her one of the glowing rocks. Do you know who would be interested in buying some magic rocks like these? I’ve got a small bag full.

(-5 gp from character)
Freya inspects the rocks for a second. "I do, as a matter of fact. Her name's Ixa, and she lives in the forest along the Spine path. If you have a map, I'll circle the location for you. She's always interested in new curiosities." Then she hands you an envelope. "Give this to her. And don't open it!"
(OOC: Everyone add a pair of winter clothes to your inventories. Don't know if it's an actual item, but you can input it as a custom item with the feature: it keeps the wearer warm in temperatures up to -25 Fahrenheit (-31.67 Celsius). Can be donned over armor, without giving any AC benefits.)

Tristan just stands back and lets the Thorne take the lead on talking handing over the gold as needed “Thank you for your help Freya.” He says taking the clothes for himself and putting them away.

(OOC: Just wondering if you want to talk to Norrell any more, or do you want to skip ahead to the shop?)

OOC - I think skip ahead? I’m definitely not asking him about the symbol I found in case it makes him discover the rocks I stole lol
OOC: I'm ready to skip to the shop. (Norrel is slightly bland)
(OOC: lol ok)

I observe the room, but remain standing.

She holds out her hand. "As much as I love to charge Norrell, that will be five gold pieces. I can't pin all the cost on him."

Thorne accepts the envelope and thanks Freya. I think we are prepared, anyone want to make any other stops or pick up supplies before we head off?
OOC: Do I need to also subtract 5 GP from my inventory? Or did Thorne pay for all of our winter clothing?
I paid all of it
OOC: Ok thanks
(OOC: Unless anyone wants to buy anything else, we can continue.)
