(ooc: I want to sneak up and attack him before he can turn around if possible but imma wait for y'all if u wanna do something before I attack. mechanically I'm just readying my attack)
Gym, who was never really good at the wait here and be quite stuff, steps into the clearing, clears his throat, oy, you there. I'd like a moment of your time to ask you some questions.
Delimbiyra slips into the mist, disappearing as much as the fog allows, his steps light and soundless. The natural cover shrouds him almost completely, allowing him to move with practiced ease (Stealth: 18). He raises his crossbow, the familiar weight steady in his hands, and sights along it toward the cloaked figure. His breath is even as he waits, his senses heightened, alert for any sudden movement. Gym’s bold greeting breaks the silence, and Delimbiyra’s eyes remain fixed on the figure, finger resting lightly on the trigger, ready to respond in an instant if the figure shows any sign of hostility.
Action: ready an attack triggered by a hostile action
Race feature: Mask of the Wild: You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.
Seeing as hostile actions have been declared as intentions, I am treating this as initiative. So round 1 as such, those who sneaked up have done that plus readied attacks. Zephyr is waiting to see what unfolds and Gym then shouts out.
The figure doesn't respond, and doesn't even move.
Doli will back away from the figure enough so at least he isnt seen. Doli will be about 80 ft away from the cloaked figure and is waiting to see how Gym's approach will work.
Delimbiyra remains put with his crosshair aimed at the figure. "Careful, Gym! It could be a trap!" he shouts out a warning and thereby revealing himself.
Zeph will move cautiously up to 30' and have his cat go the rest of the way. Keeping 20' or so distance to the right of figure, till she can see the figures front and face. Zeph's readied action is to pull her back into her pocket space if the figure makes any signs of harming her.
Delimbiyra narrows his eyes, feeling a prickling unease as the figure remains unresponsive even to Gym’s prodding. “This feels too well-orchestrated to be anything simple,” he murmurs to himself, his senses on high alert.
Keeping his crossbow trained on the figure, Delimbiyra begins to sidestep, moving cautiously around the clearing’s edge (Stealth: 19). His steps are measured, barely making a sound as he circles the figure, hoping to glimpse what might lie beyond them—or what they might be looking at. His gaze sweeps over the clearing, searching for anything hidden among the trees or in the mist that could reveal the purpose of this silent figure or any lurking danger nearby (Perception: 8).
You get to the front and see they are a human male. They seem frozen in place, their eyes not even following you. They are breathing, and blinking, but otherwise could be a statue. They look unarmed
seeing no hostile action as Gym walks in front of the man, Doli will also approach, a lot more calmly. Hey man come on he is speaking to you. have you seen anyone pass through here recently?
Fella looks frozen but not cold frozen, like maybe scared stiff. I can hear him breathing and he's blinking but his eyes ain't tracking. It's like the candle's burning but no one's at home.
Delimbiyra lowers his crossbow, his expression shifting from caution to intrigue. He steps forward, joining Gym and Doli as they circle the figure. The man’s breathing and blinking are unmistakable signs of life, but his blank stare and utter stillness send a chill down Delimbiyra's spine. “This isn’t normal. If he’s alive, he should be able to react,” Delimbiyra mutters, crouching down to study the man’s face. He searches for any signs of enchantment or visible wounds, wondering if the poor soul has been trapped by some powerful spell—or by fear so deep it’s rooted him in place. “Could be some magic or a curse,” he speculates aloud, his eyes scanning the man’s face and hands for any hints (Arcana 8, Nature 16, Medicine 7). “Whatever caused this, it’s likely not far off.”
Zeph, it does look magical (the rest of you can't tell with those rolls). It seems like a hold person or similar spell has restrained them from moving.

Gym walks up to it, pokes in the back, hey mate!
The face is hard to make out due to the cloak. But they look possibly human and male? Make a perception check.
Nevermind, Gym also posted.
Gym, the figure doesn't react to the poke either.
