"We're not planning on killing her, are we?" Ada asks. "Unless she's murdered someone or otherwise committed a terrible crime, I wouldn't condone killing her."
The paladin scratches her chin thoughtfully. "If she has committed a terrible crime, of course, then Lathander wouldn't mind us striking her down, especially if she serves the darkness in this land."
"She burned the Baron alive in his own home. Destroyed everything he built..."Kessintra remarks, gaze distant. "And used us as a distraction to do it. He'll never...quiet down until she dies. Maybe not even then."
As Garrick readies to keep those entering from leaving, Chipper adds a minor trap of his own by laying out caltrops near where they'd enter, disguising the spikes with the minor illusion of a carpet.
"Even without the baron stuff aside, considering we were kinda planning to kill him ourselves, I doubt anyone becomes a devotee of Strahd without a bit of evil in the process." he says to Ada.
Kessintra gives an almost disappointed sigh. "They really are just idiots...I guess we should just try to keep them out of the way." She looks around for a good spot to hide.
Razz hovers between Fiona's sons, his dragonfly wings buzzing just enough to draw their foggy eyes to him. With a playful smirk, he gestures grandly.
"Alright, gentlemen, picture this—a daring deception, a tale of woe, and you two, the stars of the show! Now, listen, I know you’re thinking, ‘Why would we let ourselves get caught?’ But here’s the thing... You’re not actually getting caught. You’re just playing caught. And what’s more convincing than two sorry-looking brothers who got outwitted by a bunch of clever adventurers? That’s Oscar-worthy stuff right there!"
He claps his hands together.
"Look, your dear mother, Fiona—lovely lady though she may be—won't see this coming. She thinks you’re on her side, so she’s not expecting you to be the bait in our little brilliantly improvised trap. The moment she sees you ‘captured,’ she’ll be too busy gloating, too confident to suspect a thing. That’s when we strike!"
He pauses, giving them a knowing look.
"And let’s be honest—between the two of you, who wouldn’t believe that you got captured?"
He gives them a little shrug, as if the idea sells itself.
"So here’s the deal: you sit tight, look just pitiful enough to sell it, and boom—you get to be heroes, we get the drop on her, and everyone walks away happy. Well... except your mother. But hey, small details."
The first place you think of is behind the bar. With the bar positioned right in front of the door, it'd be impossible to see you from the only entrance. It'd also provide cover for the fight.
The two boys look at each other in confusion. One looks up at you. "...Would we get drinks?"

Chipper suppresses a chuckling smirk as Razz lays it on the boys. They certainly had loyalty to alcohol. He readies himself near (where Kess presumably will also be) the bar, getting ready for the ambush.

Kessintra is a bit surprised the brothers are so willing to go along with their mother's assassination, but whatever gets the job done. She moves to get into position behind the bar near Chipper.
Razz will go back up to the rafters if that's an option and I'll have Hooty duck behind the bar with the ones over there. I think we just need to figure out how we'll "hold them hostage"
Razz Stealth Check while in the rafters (if possible): 19
After a few moments, Fiona walks in while being followed by two cultists. She seems disappointed. As she enters she says, "I'm so terribly sorry about them. I keep-" She winces in pain, quickly realizing that the carpet she stepped on was an illusion and that caltrops were beneath it. She looks around. She spots Garrick, Chipper, and Razz. "Ok, you four. We don't need to resort to violence, do we?" The two boys jump in. "Mom, we like, totally got captured." "Yeah, we- wait, what were we supposed to say again?" She mostly ignores them.

Kessintra silently aims her bow at Fiona, utterly uninterested in anything the woman has to say. It's time to start making good on her promise to annihilate the cultists.
Action: longbow to hit with advantage 21, damage 12 + 5 sneak attack

"I didn't realize the depths of her depravity," says Ada, horrified. "She must pay for her atrocities. I am with you. Let's take her down."
The paladin glances down at the drunken sons. "Do you have anything to say about this? Were you complicit in your mother's crimes?"

Ada will be standing next to the two brothers, looking at them very sternly and pretending that she is lecturing them on the virtues of temperance.
