Zan watches, listens...the scoffs. so, you want us to defeat the oppressive lord of Barovia with the help of this wizard and wounded elf? All we need to know is if this lord is beast or man and where to find him.
Madame Eva giggles. "You truly wish to storm Castle Ravenloft and fight Strahd as you are? Very well. Join the March of the Dead. Join all the other foolhardy adventurers. I did tell you where to find him, no? He sits upon his throne."

Kessintra's eyes widen; a vampire, a mighty foe indeed. Fortunately she happens to have some wooden stakes with her already. She pulls them from her pack and hands out one each to the rest of the party.
Zan, caught rather off guard by Eva's reply, purses his lips together, a vampire? Gods of light woman! Why didn't you start with that small detail? He takes the wooden stake and puts in his belt, nodding his thanks. You mentioned a sword of some sort? Would it by chance have been forged within the flame of the sun itself?
She chuckles at Zan's surprise. "It was a normal sword, once. Its blade got detached and destroyed, and the hilt got enchanted. It now sheds the light of the sun."

Garrick puts the stake into his pack and smiles appreciatively. I wasn’t expecting this when I walked into that village, but this threat seems pressing. I’m glad to be here to rid the world of this darkness.
Zan shakes his in the affirmative, indeed friend Garrick, it would seem we've all, rather willingly or not, answered Kelemvor's call to release these people from enslavement by the undead.
He looks over the cards again, this time with purpose and more belief than he has before. It would appear two mention water? Perhaps they are close to one another? But then one will only be at it's location for a short period of time. I would rather not split our party in search for these, whatever or whoever they are or may be. Thoughts on where to start? He looks at Eva for a response.
"The cards usually show me as things are when the adventures arrive, so don't worry about them moving until you've found them first. As for which one to go for first..... I can't say for sure. I can sense one thing, though. A girl, in the village of Barovia. She needs help. Perhaps you could start your search for the items there? Oh, and don't forget about your ally."
"This place has no shortage of problems...Is Gertruda here, then? If we're going back to the village anyway, we should tell her mother." Kessintra crosses her arms, the chill of the damp weather starting to get to her.
Amelia extinguishes the light in her hand with a somber expression, her gaze still fixated on the faint glimmers of what remains of her divine connection.
“If the prince is indeed a vampire, my light would be his undoing. And yet…” She hesitates, glancing at her hands, her faith and power seemingly more fragile in this shadowy land.
She straightens with renewed resolve. “Let's head to the village of Barovia and meet this burgomaster. Then the wizard, then the wolves—we'll take each step one at a time.”
"Yes, it would be useful to have an ally who knows this land better than we...Still, I feel we shouldn't venture out too far until we have gotten a better idea of how things work here."
"The wizard...... I think his name started with a K...... can't be sure, though. As for the elf.... I don't think his injury is fatal."

"Strahd. So that is the prince the other Vistani told us about...What is his curse? His powers, weaknesses?"
Madame Eva's amusement and grin only grow. "He... is a vampire. He has all the powers and weaknesses that come with, along with some magic."

((Everyone add 1 wooden stake to you inventory))

"The one who...escaped her house?" Kessintra can't hide her concern for the girl.
"Ah, no. Not Gertruda. I speak of the daughter of the burgomaster."

Let us not forget the ally. That could be useful in the upcoming conflicts.

Zan looks to Amelia, Agreed, back to Eva, thank you. Then he turns to head out of the tent.
Kessintra gives Madame Eva a nod of thanks and moves to follow Zan, thinking over all she knows of vampires.
