Not a bad "little adventure." DM note, take advantage of using multiple waves of combat to split the battles up. I made the mistake of taking on all the Bullywugs in the third round of combat. If I had waited until the first wave of Bullywugs had been defeated, things would have been much easier. Since they are mushroom controlled sentries, I'd say they could totally be roaming the cave in singles, instead of groups of two, because they have multiattack this becomes a combat of rolling dice. Singles would make the battle much easier for party's like mine that have medium to low armor class and not so many hitpoints. Additionally, I didn't have to worry about the corrode metal ability of the Psychic Gray Ooze since my characters were armor-less or wearing studded leather armor and using quarterstaffs and unarmed attacks. You could argue that the studs on the studded leather could get corroded but fortunately my party took out the ooze quickly.

The Fouled Stream
Introduction You might hail from a quiet village like Erybend or the bustling mining town of Diamond Lake, or perhaps you make your home in the grand Free City of Greyhawk. Wherever you come from, a young elf woman appears, her face etched with worry and urgency. She approaches you and your companions, pleading for your help. “I beg you,” she says, her voice trembling, “My name is Lyrelle, please follow me upstream. The water is poisoned, and the corruption is spreading. My patron, Borogrove, watches over this forest. He will tell you more.” With a grace that hints at both strength and wisdom, she gestures for you to follow her into the woods, upstream, where a greater mystery awaits.
Meeting the Treant The forest grows denser as you follow the elf deeper into the woods. Sunlight filters through the branches above, dappling the ground in patterns of gold and green. The air is thick with the earthy scent of moss and pine, though a faint, sour tang lingers beneath it—a reminder of the foulness that has taken hold of the stream.
Ahead, you see a huge figure blending into the trees themselves. As you approach, you realize it is no ordinary tree, but a Treant, ancient and wise. His bark-covered face slowly animates, eyes like pools of deep amber opening to study you with a kindness and strength that feels as old as the forest itself.
"Welcome, travelers," Borogrove’s voice rumbles, low and resonant, like distant thunder. "I am Borogrove, guardian of these woods. Long have I watched over these lands, but now a dark sickness has taken root, poisoned my beloved forest and fouling the waters that flow through your village."
The Treant lifts a massive, branch-like arm and gently drops a small, glistening acorn into the elf's hands, who then offers it to you. "This acorn holds healing and restoration magic,” he says. "You may need it on your journey. Find the source of the corruption and bring balance back to these woods."
Borogrove leans forward, his eyes filled with a mixture of hope and sorrow. "I fear what lies ahead, but the forest has faith in you, as do I. Go now, and tread carefully."
Lalravan replies, "The task will be done Great Borogrove." The trio bow to the Treant, each accepts the acorn from Borogrove.

The once-vibrant forest floor is littered with dead leaves and broken branches, giving the area an eerie stillness. Suddenly, you notice the branches themselves seem to move, shifting subtly as if alive. You blink, but now their twisted forms stand upright, forming rough, humanoid shapes with gnarled limbs and hollow eyes that gleam faintly with an unnatural light. Berserk Bear (Encounter 3) The tunnel opens into a small, dimly lit chamber where the damp air is even heavier with the stench of rot. A large brown bear paces erratically near a shallow pool fed by the corrupted stream, its massive paws leaving muddy prints across the stone floor. The bear’s fur is matted and tangled with patches of mold, and its eyes are wild, bloodshot, and pained. It stops suddenly, turning toward you with a guttural growl. Drool tinged with a sickly green hue drip from its mouth, and it sways unsteadily as though the poisoned water has left it both enraged and confused.

LOL my best rolls should have been Survival at +4 and Nature at +3 lol but Lalravan with a straight roll wins the day.
The trio get a ration and put the acorn in it and toss it to the bear. It takes the bait and swallows the food and instantly gets better leaving the group alone.

Berserk Bear (Encounter 3)
The tunnel opens into a small, dimly lit chamber where the damp air is even heavier with the stench of rot. A large brown bear paces erratically near a shallow pool fed by the corrupted stream, its massive paws leaving muddy prints across the stone floor. The bear’s fur is matted and tangled with patches of mold, and its eyes are wild, bloodshot, and pained. It stops suddenly, turning toward you with a guttural growl. Drool tinged with a sickly green hue drip from its mouth, and it sways unsteadily as though the poisoned water has left it both enraged and confused.

LOL my best rolls should have been Survival at +4 and Nature at +3 lol but Lalravan with a straight roll wins the day.
The trio get a ration and put the acorn in it and toss it to the bear. It takes the bait and swallows the food and instantly gets better leaving the group alone.
