Pushoverexamines the pools and the carvings, thinking on what factors could lead to them being here, such as magical potential or religious significance. It's clear that religion is at the forefront of her mind however, as she finds that she can draw more religious symbolism from the chamber then magical results. She then finishes up the investigation and reports to the party on what she has came up with, also saying 'I candetect any magic that might be in this room, which could be very useful at ascertaining any positive or negative effects of the pools, or even magical traps by the door, but I'll need 10 minutes to sit down and perform the ritual for it. It's of course up to you guys whether or not I go ahead, I'd hate to hold you back and waste your time, and in fact we might need to get going anyway...' A hint of doubt creeps into her voice at the end as she mentally panics over the suggestion she's yet again made herself.
"Uhhh, staying alive isn't really what I would call a waste of time. Personally. But if rats are nibbling on people, they might want us to hurry. The people, I mean. I guess the rats would probably just as well we take our time." He stretches up to his full height to check the seams in the door. Outside of his usual stoop, he's a big man who nearly fills the doorway at the shoulder, but he almost seems to shrink as he folds himself into a more compact space.
(It took about an hour to reach the room. From the fissure, it wasn't a straight path and a rather mess of turns that descended downward.)
Hard to tell what deity it is referring to without any depiction of it, but Pushover can determine that the carvings are depicting a trial of sorts. It seems to involve the pools and one needs to fully submerge themselves in the pool for the trial to start. Magic wise, unable to sense any runes or the like upon the carvings or pools.
The door itself is made of stone, having no seams visible to the party. Although the dust around it shows that it has been opened recently, with the tracks seemingly going past the door as well.
Once he's satisfied that Pushover has done a thorough job of checking for magical traps around the door, Grigor braces himself and takes out his lockpicks, thick fingers delicately holding the pieces of wire, tongue protruding from the corner of his mouth as he concentrates. The bugbear mutters to himself as he talks himself through the task. "I'll have a go at this. If opening the door. I really don't want to have to take a bath in gross cave water to open this door if I don't have to. My fur takes all day to dry."
Grigor's hair does, indeed, look freshly brushed and clean with a nice amount of fluff to it.

After hearing that somebody needs to go into the pools, Ja'Dul tests the cloudy one by sticking his hand in it. Then progressively more of his body until he is fully in. Just making it so if he gets hurt he can back out.
In your head you hear him mumble *Clearly the clear one is acid, and the green one is hiding a green slime...*

The tumblers in the lock give a click, then a click, then another click. And as the pick reaches the furthest in the lock, Grigs gives the last tumbler a push. After a moment of silence, there is a...click. The door can be opened now.

Once Ja'Dul is fully in the pool, he can feel a strange sensation. Not like a pain but a discomfort below his exoskeleton. It just gives an urge to scratch at it.
In full concentration mode, Grigor lets out a breath once he feels the last tumbler go. "Hey, got it!" sounding more than a little surprised. "Yeah. Uh, why... Nevermind You good? I think we can get through."
Grigor raises his eyebrows is surprise. "There you are. How-" he looks back the way they'd come and shakes his head, tucking his picks away.* "Doesn't matter. Onward, or did someone else want to bathe in questionable goop?"
Pushover is pleasantly surprised to see the puzzle be solved so easily, and without the need for a ritual, so simply follows along with the group. She considers taking some of the liquid to study, but seeing as things have gone so well so far, she'd hate to disrupt things and cause an issue. She greets the new party member in a similar manner to how she did to Grigor; with just a wave and a smile.
As the passage runs east, it widens to thirty feet for the next ninety feet. At the far end of the area, the chamber narrows to ten feet again, with an ornate double door sealing it off.
Grigor decided to take up rear guard for now, taking up a position to the back of the group watching fior dangers from behind.
As they found themselves in the chamber with the charred floor, Grigs goes to the south wall carefully avoiding stepping into the burned area to attempt to see where flames might come from.

You clear your mind and ignore the tingling sensation. The feeling passes and you somehow feel that your body feels sturdier.
Success, Ja'Dul takes no Acid Damage and gains resistance to acid damage until next long rest.
*Oh that was wierd and burny*
Ja'Dul steps out of the pool and shakes himself somewhat dry. Then a membrane flicks over his eyes.
*I dumked myself into the pool trap and we got the door open anyway??*
